Round 2, after a very poor lunch experience at a “French Cafe” down the road, I decided to pack up and head for a coffee and email catch up at Vida E.Thank goodness! Super friendly staff greeted me all the way from the back as I walked in the door! I took a look around at the food selection on display, and immediately someone was on hand to ask if I needed any help or needed recommendations.The sandwiches and croissants look and smell divine, and then I spot it nestled in a glass cake stand on the counter - gluten free carrot cupcakes! After a tasteless lunch sandwich I practically felt obliged to try it!Carrot cake heaven! Moist and fluffy cupcake covered in a delicious cream-cheese frosting, sprinkled with nuts and cranberry bits. Every bite was absolutely divine!Thank you for the smiles, the great service, the yummy food and fresh coffee! Oh and the space to catch up on work without the overbearing music that is often synonymous with vida e Cafès.

If you want a great quality coffee fast, this is your place. Every other Vida has loud music and lots of noise but this one is quiet and the bigger space is set up so it doesnt feel crowded. Its set up at a great location. You get little dark chocolate as a complimentary. Though the coffee is a little pricier than the average place, its definitely worth it. Try the caramel latte etc as it isnt sweet nor does it taste like a hot milkshake. Its a perfect blend of coffee with a roasted taste of almonds/caramel.

This a definitely one of the better Vida E cafes. Their service is quick and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Their sandwich options seem to have dropped in quality. Otherwise everything is fantastic

7.15 on a Friday morning on my way to work, I ordered a Spinach and Feta Frittata and an egg pot. The Spinach and Feta Frittata was yummy and the egg pot was very old! The egg pot had an expiry date of March 2019! What made me question the egg pot was the fact that they took it from the display and took it to their kitchen, for what I dont know. All they said was it would take a few minutes so I assumed they were heating it, what else would they be doing right? It takes longer than heating the Spinach and Feta Frittata. Eventually I get the egg pot and its wet inside and not warmed up, so what took so long? Get to my car, I open the egg pot it has a weird smell and fresh water droplets in the pot. I took a bite as I was hungry, not only was it over boiled, as in a blue yolk, it also didnt taste right. Thats when I looked for the expiry date and found March 2019 and this happened in May! I returned it, no explaination, assistants just started speaking to each other in isi-Xhosa and took the egg pot to the kitchen again! I immediately said that I dont want another! All they did was apologise but didnt offer any compensation or a refund. I took another Spinach and Feta Frittata instead, which was cheaper but they didnt give me the difference. Disgusting service and product from Vida Green Point! I will not buy from Vida again. Ive had way better coffee too.

This Vida is pretty spacious with lots of seating for you to work on your laptop or relax with some friends over good hot cup of Java. There is also and outside seating area to enjoy the Cape Town sun. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Needless to say, they coffee is fantastic.
