Love this coffee place, just wish they would serve coffee in their mugs as well as their breakfast menu on the front lawn as they used to instead of their takeaway coffees.

Coffee BloC at Buitenverwachting Wine Estate is an all time favorite venue of mine within the Constantia/Bergvliet area.Besides the fact that this venue is nestling amongst ancient oak trees on a historically interesting wine estate, the walks from Buitenverwachting to Klein Constantia is a delightful exercise.The coffee is excellent and the food menu is most reasonably priced.

Cesarean salad with salmon ok-is but wayyy overpriced for what it delivers. Huge gap between breakfast and lunch so if you plan on visiting come early or much closer to lunchtime.. forget about a leisurely brunch. You will be told they are no longer serving breakfast and you need to order from the lunch menu....at 11!

Well presented food made to perfection. Enjoy a morning in their beautiful relaxing garden, order the salmon Benedict, and watch as the local family of chickens pass through. Youll find it difficult to leave such an amazing place.

Coffee BloC is an outstanding place to go for breakfast or lunch. Coffee is roasted at Quaffee which is situated in the corner of the main parking area. It supplies the Deli with ground coffee. The deli also sells cupcakes and muffins to take-away or eat on-site.

Venue is spectacular. You can actually sit outside under big oak trees or put a.blanket under the trees and have a picnic basket As It was the 31 December and it is a popular day to meet friends for coffee we were rather disappointed when we were told that the Coffee Bloc closes at 2pm They had nothing to offer us with our cappuccinos . They had No cake or scones or muffins available. Very disapointing

The coffee Bloc at Buitenverwachting farm is awesome. They have all the various milks or mylks from dairy to soy, almond and oat milk. The coffee bean they use is I think or stand to correction an Italian coffee blend. They do it right. Other side foods, cakes and desserts are top class in this place and certainly will not dissapoint you.

Horrible experience with this cafe! Would not recommend. Their working hours are clearly stipulated to be till 17:00 they had stopped serving food at 15:30 when we had got to the restuarant and had refused to let us sit outside of the restaurant as well. Additionally their services state that you able to purchase wine from their cafe and they had refused to do so as well. Terrible customer service and staff, will definitely not be visiting buitenverwachting as a whole every again!

We had a mixed experience. Chose the Coffee BloC to celebrate an 88th birthday. My elderly guest enjoyed her lunch -- she had pork belly. Im vegan and was limited to the garden salad. The salad was nothing like the description on the menu and a great disappointment. Service was frustratingly slow. Poor selection of soft drinks as the Coffee BloC only had large bottles of sparkling water and no sparkling fruit juices. Beautiful setting.

A dream breakfast is what they present. If you are bored with your usual bacon and egg breakfast try this little treasure.. Their salmon and soft scramble egg on toast is divine. Not your usual breakfast experience at the foot of the mountain range above Buitenverwachting but one you would want to have again. Well priced and lovely beverage menu with seating inside and outside or under a big old tree on hot summer days. Beautiful

Spent a really great afternoon under one of the massive trees on the edge of sprawling lawns. Coffee was delicious. Service was excellent. Waitrons were respectful of the situation and left us to chit chat the entire afternoon away, while still managing to be attentive (great body language reading). Lovely for families with young ones, coffee/lunch catch-ups with friends or a date.

Such disappointing service. Slow, unfriendly, no eye contact, basic elements missing such as thank you and pleasure. No offer to find you a table, no clearing of empty plates, waiter completely disinterested - felt as though waitering was a hassle to him. After getting up to pay, and giving an undeserved tip, my card is given back and the waiter turns around without even a thank you or goodbye, to make another cuppacino. Generally a poor service culture that has been allowed to develop unchecked. Super worrying considering the tourism flowing through the beautiful wine estate. Expected so much more...
