Great place to work — despite them not caring too much about cleaning up and Covid mask wearing. The food is solid. But the avo on (gluten free) toast is a joke. It should be called a tapas portion.

Love the working atmosphere within the café...need to come back again to try out their food!

The concept of a co-working space is great and much needed in Cape Town, but the service of the bar and restaurant greatly falls behind. The sparkling water was too old and had no more gas and the main course did not correspond to the menus description with three of its main ingredients were missing. After making a comment about one of them, I was told by the manager that they are blended in the sauce. Although it did not look or taste like it, if that is the case then the descriptions needs to be revised to specify so.All by all, because of these mismatches (and because my friends also experienced similar issues with their orders), we were made to feel like we were being difficult and had to negotiate for quite some time before orders were made correctly (meaning: matching their description).

This place has amazing people with even better food. Definitely the best coffee in Cape Town with a variety of different flavors and blends. It is also awesome for meetings or to just have some breakfast and lunch. Big Dog Cafe is a must visit location.

These guys really are the Big Dogs from my experience. Super friendly vibe with very comfortable seating makes it a pleasure to spend time there enjoying a coffee, or three. Lets be honest though, its Cape Town and there are many places to enjoy good coffee. So why did I like this place so much that I even came to write a review....Well there two things actually now that I think of it. Main reason for me was Food, its not Ok, its not average, its amazingly good and I could taste and see that they are incredibly concious of using good quality ingredients in their dishes. The second thing for me was the staff were very approachable. I wanted to know what sorcery was used in the making of my delicious dish, so they kindly came out and in detail explained the cooking method and ingredients used. Food is life people!!! So if you want to be in an environment where the food being made is more of a passion for them and not a process...well then this is for you.
