Checkers Sitari pulled out all the stops for this one. Sushi bar, Coffee roasting, deli, cheeses and a perfectly sized wine corner with a good selection of wines. The dry aged meat section in the butchery is going to see me again for sure!Its clean, looks great, has everything you should need.Just one thing stops me from a 5 star review. The tellers. The staff on the floor are super. They know the store and they help you with a smile. The tellers on the other hand either ignore you or make you understand that this is not where they want to be currently. This seems to be a recurring issue with Checkers and its strange to me that they cannot seem to change the attitude.Besides that, this is where I will do my weekly shopping from now on.

Good Checkers with a sushi and coffee bar. It is not too busy so to pop in and out for something is quick. Be sure to check the expiry dates on the chicken thou. Bought a 8 pack of chicken on the bone. It sell by date was the previous day and use by on the day I bought it.

The store is stunning and has a great variety of products but the staff and customer service is terrible. All the staff are lazy, entitled and rude. They really put you off from wanting to go shop there. We live so close to the store but would rather shop at woolworths because of your cutomer service. Please step it up.

Lovely checkers but boy the customer service is horrendous. Every time when I go to the meats/olives section there’s no one to assist with weighing. Yesterday I stood 10 minutes to weigh olives. After waiting that long, the lady at the hot food section was just standing there looking at me so I asked her to weigh the olives since I’d been waiting for a while. She was clearly annoyed by this request but she weighed the olives anyway, using the wrong code so they were double priced. I told her she used the incorrect R/gram and asked if she could use the correct code. Again she was not impressed with me, I was clearly being a nuisance to her. In the end, she called somebody else to help her and the price of the olives dropped by almost every 100%. She handed them to me, not even look at me or offering an apology for the delay.It’s a shame cause I love Checkers and this is the closest one to me but man the service has been consistently poor.

I love the store, the staff just needs to improve on their customer service skills.... the ladies at the Take- away Deli is always slow... The bakery oh my word, I have never been assisted without having to wait 5 minutes or even longer for someone to appear...

So i was at sitari mall for the first time today and entered checkers for a few goodies i asked the lady at the meat section if they have t-bone steaks and was told to look the other side ok i found two 2packs and asked another lady if they didnt have some more her reply was i dont know and it ended there i took the t-bone steaks as it was going to be for supper tonightI opened the meat at home and saw that it is rotten i tried phoning them but no success and off i go to work without food

Shockingly bad attitudes by the two ladies at the bread section tonight (2021-02-07). We were there at 19:45, so for 15 more minutes, the store should still be fully operational. I asked them if I can have 4 hotdog rolls, and with the biggest sigh in the world, they told me theyve already packed away the leftover rolls for the night to be thrown out or disposed. They then told me that if I REALLY want it, they can open the bag and give it to me. I insisted, and luckily, they managed to get the courage, open the bag, and give me my rolls.Its employees like this who can leave a long lasting, sour taste to a business.

The longest que I have stood in for a while. From the Chicken Fridge all the way around the eggs, health and beauty, kitchen and that is all I can see for know. Maybe the checkout are in view around the next bend....

No one answers the phone. Trying to track down an extremely late checkers 60 order. App doesnt even allow you to submit an issue.

Scolded by the Biltong Executive for taking a picture of the stand which I was very impressed by. After her blunt rudeness, and controversy to being nice to selective. I abandoned my trolley full of groceries to support Woolworths instead. They gladly took my money with a smile.

This checkers is well laid out but this is undermined by poor customer service at the tills. Most (not all) the cashiers seem preoccupied with other things and not attending to the customer. Today I was served by Khanyisa Mazwayi who was on her phone most of the time and more focused on making jokes with the bag packer than attending to her customer. I get the impression that the cashiers are just resentful toward the shoppers. Shame because the store as a whole is one of the best checkers around...

Great store innitially - now check-out terrible and repacking done at all times which blocks isles badly. Pricing missing on many items on shelf. Wors not good - thin and pieces/offcuts.....

Worst checkers in Helderberg. Badly trained cashiers. They dont even know how the various payment methods work. When a manager or supervisor is needed customers needs to wait 20min before someone that knows how to do their jobs arrive. Cashier will tell you a manager is needed and after helping four other customer i had to ask if she even called the supervisor yet. And then only called the supervior. Why does a customer have to wait 20min before being assisted to pay for 3 items???. Stay away. Bad service is the only thing youll get there!

Just horrible! I come here every morning at 9 to purchase a few things for my restaurant, by 10 still no fresh unsliced white and brown bread, and isles still being packed, why are you guys not ready when the store open???? 80% of staff members wearing masks below their nose, I guess this pandemic doesnt effect your sales🤷‍♀️

Purchased sushi here my daughter and i got sick that sushi and they refused to even apologize

Look, I have never really been a fan of Checkers, but since coming here I have changed my mind. I was always under the misconception that the store was low budget and unkept..... how wrong I was and very happy to say that they are far from what I expected. Checkers has come leaps and bounds from the old days when I was a child.Their fruit and veg section is really quite something, I have only good things to report, fresh produce with large varietyThe bakery makes fresh array of baked goodies for those that enjoy themAnd they are generally very well stocked with a little of everything except clothingThe store is kept clean, whether I have been there first thing in the morning or last thing in the evening, it is always neat and cleanCheckers I am happy to say that I am now a fan

Great variety and hours of operation. Produce and baked goods are fresh. No handbaskets or small trolleys which makes the tight passages at the pay points even tighter.

Worst mall for people with babies they discriminate against parents with kids as there is literally only 1-3 places to park for parents with infants and toddlers, yet curro castle is across the road and I am a regular customer which has now been chased out of a parking spot close to the door in the wind with my 4 month old baby!!!!!

Lovely shop. Great spacious layout. Clean and well-stocked. Friendly service. Quiet.

Good shopping experience, not as crowded as Waterstone and lots of parking. Only thing is the lamb chops are not as good, the quality is lacking somewhat, bit tough and a bit grissel. Three times in a row and we buy the most expensive chops.

This checkers does not limit the number of people inside the shop and has NO precautions to protect its staff. No distancing, no masques no hand sanitizer for the cashiers. They are high risk employees and it is business as usual, an un masked guard sprays your hands ( getting way too close) and thats it.

Pathetic.... Bottelstore says closing at 16:30 on the window but closed at 15:20! At night they only have 1 till open. The express line during the day so slow i stand in the normal line fot just 1 item....
