Decent store when it comes to cleanliness, but still packed with people for no reason. Some expensive products even though their quality is questionable

I normally buy at shoprite,the till operators are extremely rude ...I had to ask for assistance by the Money market...its terrible ...yoh

For a few weeks we have been buying your macaroni, and when making it, we find these little black bugs in the packets and in between the macaroni.At first I thought, it could be the brand, so we changed the brand, still the same thing.Every week its the same issue with finding black bugs in our macaroni packets.Please have a look as its money wasting.

Giving them 1 star is being more than polite.they deserve a zero star.the so called supervisor on duty today around 1:30 is beyond unprofessional. I think shoprite needs to at least get educated people to represent their franchise otherwise I as appalled by the experience I got..my neibour s son and me were refused to buy dishwashing liquid that was on special saying we only allowed to buy 6.so I expected to buy 12 since we were 2 but was treated as if i was an undeserving criminal who is less than a customer....you will definitely loose customers to other shops if customers feel like this after spending their hard earned money

Very dirty shop. I dont buy their baked and fried food because there is flies. I went to buy fresh milk and mass the other day, in the fridges there were dead flies. I took photo of them and I am wondering if I can share this photo for the attention of health inspectors?

Staff are not overly friendly and it is a very busy shop but relatively clean, value for money and convenient to stop at. Their bakery is quite clean, fresh baked goods are made daily and mainly the reason for my visits there. Love the special bread they make ☺

Shoprite Maitland is convenient for me but service at the tills especially peak times are horrendous. .. long queues and time wasting.Also a lot of your fresh produce not always fresh especially having to pay R17.99 per kilo for over ripe black bananas. Improve on those things .. your loyal customers deserve that and you might even become the Woolworths of Maitland.

Cheaper than other retailers. If you have an issue they will fix it asap.Great store manager Mr Waleed Samuels

I love that Shoprite is so big and everything is there and you always get what you need to say always on a special this cake too sweets theres chocolate everything you want is there always find it cheap cheap cheap so if you want to go to Shoprite Maitland thats a place to be most of all

Possibly one of the worst grocery stores Ive been in. Dirty, unhygienic, very unappetizing food. Very slow service and deli staff dont seem to know what they are doing.Tried to charge me R19.99 for 1 crispy breadroll and R27 for 100g of chicken strips, advertised at around R10-11 for 100g
