What a great experience. Took a friend to look for kitchen counter tops, Gino was SO HELPFUL, polite and gave us his full attention. Even though we were only looking, he provided us with excellent service, will definitely be back.

I am not a professional woodworking person but I do attempt the odd project now and then. I visited a number of board stores for a counter top for a project I was busy with. Well, disappointingly, you have to stand around and wait and youll be lucky if someone sees you and assists. As an amateur, it seems that only known contractors or people who look like they know what they are doing get helped quickly. On 17 March 2021 I popped into this store for the first time and was immediately helped by Aaron. I could explain what I needed and he helped. I left there very pleased with my purchase. And the project turned out great! Massive shout-out to Aaron. Well done young man! Ill definitely visit again.

Lowest points for this one..2 simple cuts of marine wood is a huge mission and a waste of your time. I had to order it for the next day as they need one day to change saw blades.But the next day nothing is done and you wait and wait only to hear later they wont cut until received payment. No one tells you..Dont fall for their promises. All just air. Last time they saw me. They dont want business..

All I wanted was a piece of wood to be cut and when l arrived 29/12/2029 Timber City Woodstock Customer Service said I had to come back next year. This after making a call to the office that I could come through. Who refuses work in the times we live in? The interaction with customer service was unfriendly and rude unfortunately

I wasnt going to write this review but I think its only fair to myself and others that I do.I mailed regarding an order of wood I wanted to place. I confirmed stock and drove from the southern suburbs to Woodstock. Store was short on my order, even though they claimed it was there. This is an order for nearly 3k worth of wood. Also, One of the 5 pieces of 32x94 pine was 32x82~mm for some reason. Only noticed this when I got to where I needed to deliver the wood, HOUT BAY.I purchased a spade bit too, which was bent at the bottom edge to the point that drilling with it was impossible.I mailed the sales consultant I dealt with and mentioned these issues. I also mentioned that it was not even remotely viable to drive all the way back there as I work a full time job in the week and live in the southern suburbs. All I got was a lousy I do apologise for the wrong cutting of the wood and the bent spade bit. I feel if the store generally cared they wouldnt hesitate to offer a remote refund, even on a total of around R120 or so.A very disappointing overall experience which easily couldve been rectified and set right.

Terrible experience. Sent emails requesting quotes on Worktop Pine or Shutter Pine (21mm). Then got quote for 18mm Shutter Pine. Thought that Id pay that rather than go through whole process again. Then I phoned and was told (for the first time) that the 13 cut pieces would take 5 to 7 days to process. So wrong quote, slow service, numerous phone calls to sort out.

I have used Timbercity on many occasions and been reasonably satisfied with the service and products until now. I ordered kitchen doors to be cut and edged and when I went to collect the wrong edging was used. I can understand this kind of mistake but what they did next was not good. They valley me the next day to say they have fixed the doors but when I went to connect them the doors were all chipped because they tried to remove the old edging and put new edging on which is not possible without damaging the doors.I didnt accept these doors and they said they would make new ones.A few days later I went to collect the doors again and although better the doors doll has s few chips. We couldnt wait any longer for the doors so we had the worst chipped for remade at the time and took the doors. They also didnt give me the spare board that I had paid for. (When they make doors you pay for a full board and pay to have it cut and edged)This leads me to believe they used offcuts to make the doors.I will unfortunately not be using them again and cant recommend them if you want good quality doors.

Terrible service.Apathetic to the small business needs.

The level of incompetence in this place is simply staggering. From the front office to the cutting room they made so many errors that I was truly baffled. Find another lumber place but don’t take a chance here unless insanity is your goal.

Aaron was very helpful, he drew up the cabinets for me and sorted out everything from the sizes of the boards to the screws. Very impressive service! Would recommend them in a heartbeat.
