A TOTALLY different experience to dealing with the bigger brand hardware giants who had me at the end of my tether that particular day.... good advice, good prices and most of all really great service from everyone in the store. Not builders warehouse, but very good for a local hardware store. Clean and tidy wih a good range of items and they probably have what you want. Helpful and friendly staff.

Arrogance, condescension: this is the service ethic of the shop assistants. Unfortunately, especially if youre female.Although Builders Warehouse offers very little help or advice it has my blood pressure in a safer range.

The 3 stars is mostly for the friendly staff, Ive shopped been here a few times as its the closest hardware store to my house. Recently I find myself driving past it to go to different hardware stores that have a better selection of products.

Staff are friendly, but best to phone and place an order. I tend to find that if I walk in and require a certain amount of specific items I always never get the full compliment of stuff due to stock levels and have to go elsewhere for the balance.

Most of time I walk out empty handed, as they dont stock what I am looking for.I also have a problem with them not using 70% Alcohol sanitizer as stipulated by law, organic stuff makes my hands stink.

Friend staff and has the basics. Conveniently located equidistant between other larger hardware stores, which gives it an edge. Parking is a bit of a tight squeeze and the surrounding area is overrun with loiterers, from vagrants, to job seekers and opportunistic petty theft criminals. Keep your visits brief and your valuables out of sight, if going here on foot.

Theres never prices on stock, and if there is, its probably for the wrong item.It gets tedious needing to go to the checkout to get items priced.

Ok...just ok. In fact went again on 18 Sept. For the second time i left empty handed. This is a useless store which seldom has that which i need. No extended spindles, no tap heads. Come on.

They have people standing around watching and doing nothing and 1 teller working. Massive lines to pay and no one will come help speed it up.

Poor stock holding. Cramped yard. High prices compared to 3 other competitors. No discount offered for contractors or bulk purchases. Not much better than the corner hardware shop.

Bad service...I paid for cement and 4 days later still have not got the cement, called the store twice already and was promised it will be delivered but sadly still now nothing, i have tried to call the store 8 times already - the phone rings and no one to answer.

Went in there 2 days ago to buy a JoJo tank. Staff member I spoke to was helpful and quoted R2500.00. Went back today to collect and the same staff member was busy with a customer so I approached the next consultant whose attitude was typical of the old fashioned lazy hardware store employee from way back, I was advised that price had gone up and there was no stock. However the same tanks that were there 2 days ago were standing on the floor. Said they were not for sale. No offer to take my name and advise when they had stock etc. I walked out and went to Builders Warehouse where I got sorted out.

Unfriendly staff at this branch. No one the floor to help, had to return glass bricks thrice as the two boxes had one brick short. No order as dispatch as all. Many of their items we hired was faulty. I was very shocked to see they charged my father inlaw one price to hire and the new day for the same item I was given an entirely different price. Very odd. Will not be going back here.
