Thumbs up to Builders for secure packaging if the items I ordered. Also noteworthy that Arthur really paid attention to the note I wrote on my order and ensured that I quality checked the items. Can strongly recommend the online service Builders offers.

Excellent customer service and the staff is so friendly.It felt like all the staff was family as they know and greet me by my name.Really a pleasure when you walk in a shop.loved the store layout and the place is so big. Definitively a place you can get lost in when shopping. But time flies in their as you are spoiled for choice.

I have mixed feelings about Builders Warehouse...The Warehouse is huge - it stocks, I am sure, almost every piece of hardware one could wish for.The layout, the massive place is bright and most impressive.I often wish, as a single woman, entering the warehouse, that I was a professional builder and knew how to put all these items to use.Here comes my gripe with the store, which, by the way I often visit to buy whatever I need -There is never anyone around to ask for advice.What I have been doing lately, when bewildered by the huge selection on display, is to appeal to another customer, a male, for advice.I wish that this amazing store would have at least one dedicated roaming adviser on standby.Ill be back, again and again relying on fellow customers to point me in the right direction.

Supporting builders warehouse for years but the delivery service really had gone to pieces.Day three of where is my delivery. Pathetic. Paid 9 days ago. Gave enough time to get everything on truck. Friday, Saturday and Monday truck will be there. Now half day gone again...gosh we all have things to do.

When planning on venturing out of your isolation to brave the big bad world and visit this place, put a few hours aside, as you could spend hours here browsing their extensive catalog of, well everything really. Very well stocked, and big.., and as we all know, bigger really is better.

Decent builders warehouse, has most of the home DIY items that you need, quite like the Vidae Caffe that is there. Garden furniture section is a bit of a mess with everything looking like it is lumped in one corner, with everything on top of each other. Not as refined as say the Brackenfell Builders warehouse.

Could not find door intercom system and a length of chain. Went to a much smaller Builders express and found multiple different examples of both said items. I fail to understand how a large warehouse can not have these items in stock.

Great place for building materials friendly service and helpful and had a breakfast at the Vida E cafe I store too. Around a pleasant place.

Today was the fastest that I was in and out of Builders i.e. finding what I needed and paying without waiting in a queue. Friendly staff early morning too. Made my day.

Dont bother ordering online, they dont stick to delivery dates, have no concept of customer service and couldnt be bothered to help when you raise a concern over their failure to deliver. Happy to take your money though. And lets not get into their nationwide inability to label their products with prices 🤦 I feel so sad for their call centre these poor people have to deal with irate customers and seemingly have no internal methods for helping them solve their problems... Its basically lipservice.

Sabata, the salesman who assisted me with a gas hob was very helpful but not particularly knowledgeable of the product. I need to return to purchase the proper connection for the hose to the tank. I specifically asked him if there was anything else I needed to set up my hob..😖

Its been almost a month since I ordered a mirror. No stock but they wont refund my money.Update: its been over 2 months and still no refund.Update 2: The manager has no respect for customers. APPARENTLY he/she was going to make the deposit into my account urgently but then didnt for a few days. They just dont care.Reading the other reviews you can see that leadership is rotten at this store.

Not a great deal staff product knowledge

You cant get DIY advice from the staff, with the exception perhaps of the paint department. I was approached by 3 people offering a credit card for the store, quoting interest per month instead of per year and other greasy salesmen tactics. The quality of the stuff there is often very bad and overpriced for the quality. I would suggest specialist stores instead.

A nice experience in store however I have made three purchases for building materials in the past and they have always been delivered very late. One time the roofing delivered was too short fit the roof. The other time to few sheets were delivered and I had to source an extra sheet elsewhere. This last time it was countertops and was never delivered. I went in store got a credit no questions asked but the next day they seemingly didnt even realize they had credited me and asked if I was at home for delivery. Seemingly there is no communication between departments. I wont suffer this service again.

Its BuilderWarehouse - nothing fancy, just Builders Warehouse. How do we know? So many items are not marked with prices and the price on the shelf is missing. So many workers dont know where items and prices are. And the exit is still archaic- one receipt stamper checking in your bags for all the items - a complete farce. So bored with the Builders concept. It is just Builders Warehouse.

Was pleasantly surprised as to their prices, right on par with current pricing.Restrooms was clean and refreshing, staff knowledge on shops layout very good, cashiers was friendly and efficient, definitely going back if I need anything in the future.

Has everything under one roof. All staff I have asked for assistance usually lead you to the correct aisle/products. Queues also move fairly quickly when they appear long. Plenty of parking available too

Builders warehouse Tokai has once again let me downIve sent in my Dewalt drill 2 weeks ago and after several calls and staff promising to call me back Ive been met with a Arrogant manager throwing terms and conditions at me ....How am I supposed to earn an income without the correct toolsI ask with urgency that someone from the branch gives me a callBuilders might have all the correct products and decent prices but seriously your staff will force me to support your competitors

Nice experience, modern and upgrade is really pleasant adds to an enjoyable shop. Very big, loads of items of all sizes, safe and secure, even has a Vida coffee bar inside, large touch screen if you havent been assisted by friendly staff

Tje lady near tje toilet section, just stood thr e did help when i asked for help then just went back to stsnding inril i need more help, she knew a her products and did hekp, but i think, being a bit more proactive overall would be good. I must say not a bad range overall however try buy or enquire on anything in the power tool section thats where your fun will begin..... nobody around ever one would think with most of the items there costing more then the average items around the rest of the store theyd at least have active sales people on the power tool floor .... erm nope nada nothing and has happened many times also stock listed in store on the web well dont bank on it actually being in the requested store. Makes Home affairs fun !

My online order was not ready for collection even though I had received my email. They could not find my order on system. Spent 30mins trying to find my order. I left and was told to come back which I did 30 mins later and the person who contacted me to say they now had my order was not at the desk. I had to go looking for him. Worst online shopping experience. On a big board in your store it says online orders ready for collection in 90mins. Mine took a week. Very dissapointed.

Went to the store on Saturday and was intimidated as this was a big store. Well the sales team service was excellent, I was looking for interior and exterior paint and the guy Moegamat in the Paint department was very helpful. I will definitely be back to this store.

Big choice. But staff not on the ball.I was looking for an item in isle 4.I was redirected to isle 34!. Then found item back in isle 3. That was a huge walk and took ages.I bought amongst several other items totalling in excess of R1800 two tubes of adhesive that require plastic nozzles. These nozzles SHOULD be given at the till but WERNT!😮👎😳😩😡🤬.I am a pensioner and juggling many things at the till. I expect the till staff to be trained and spot whats nescessary for the customer. One pays the full price and expects the full product. I am unable to use these two tubes of adhesive. I live 25 km from the shop.I am not at all happy.Also...its Covid crazy. The people checking receipts and products exiting the shop are extra hands touching. Its an added dangerous step.The staff...when one is able to get their attention are usually courteous and pleasant which is what stops me giving 1 star.

Everything under one roof is the only way to describe this place. I went looking for a few items and was helped by several people as I walked from one end of the building to the other. An employee by the name of Thembelani, carried the ladder I purchased and helped me to my car. Brilliant service, clean environment and friendly staff members including the security at the front. Good quality products.

Ive never had a problem with staff. I find them very helpful at all times.The one thing that I really miss is the lovely coffee shop that they used to have before all the renovations took place. It was situated at the end of the shop in the gardening section. We always enjoyed their meals. Now there is a small coffee shop with 3 tables within the centre amidst all the buzz of the shoppers. Certainly not a place to relax. I will not be supporting it. The coffee shop location needs a rethink.

The most horrific experience ever.Tried contacting the store to place an order, however got redirected to a call centre.Upon communicating with multiple people to place an order of a certain quantity, I was advised that I would be contact by the stores manager Wesley to arrange that the required stock be ordered so I may collect at the store.2 days had gone by and ended up placing two separate orders online so that I could have the quantity I required.I received the first order within 24 hours from their depo and a day later received the other part of my order from constantia store. However the quantity I ordered and paid for from constantia was not the quantity I received.I contacted the call centre once again to find out where the rest of my order was as it had been paid in full and expected to receive everything. I was put through to the store and was told they did not have the stock I required ( The online store showed they had the required amount in stock) I was advised that once they receive stock in again they would deliver the rest. I was not given an eta as to when to expect the rest of my order nor was this communicated with me before the delivery was dispatched.The lack of customer service and communication is disgusting.I will definitely not recommend doing business with builders warehouse constantia.

I only buy something at Builders in real emergencies. For one reason only. Staff are lazy, never come up to us and ask if we need help like other hardwares. We have to look for someone and when they know you need help, take their own time, especially if theres other customers waiting. They will walk like they just woke up. Well stocked, a lot of items are just cheap rubbish from China which is generally over priced. I like the vida cafe here, staff are generally helpful.

Good hardware store BUT you must know your prices. The recent revamp has made it a bit of a problem to find what you are looking for.

Products not priced. Staff helpful once you can find someone to assist you. However it was late in the afternoon (about 5.15pm) so maybe staff were somewhat tired after a long day.

Very well stocked Builders in Steenberg (even though they call themselves Constantiaberg). Loads to choose from, and you can get stuff cut to size if need be for R5. My only wish was that they had a DIY stock catalogue that customers can use because Ive been sent from one far end to the other only to be told to walk back numerous times. I always go here for tools and they also have appliances.

A super hardware store with a unlimited range of products from building to interior to pool to lighting, actually best is to go in and see for yourself.Have a section for plants and garden accessories as well as a small restaurant.

Not very helpful on a Sunday before closing time. I was told that the people who work in the department I needed some advice from had already left for home with no alternate but to make another trip and return the next day. Id rather wait until Monday and run to the hardware store on the corner next time.

Terrible customer service. Waiting over 30 minutes at the cutting desk and just gave up. The unfortunate part is that builders have put all the smaller hardware stores with excellent service out of business so we are forced to deal with their incompetent and untrained staff. Ill drive to Campbell hardware in noordhoek next time as this place just puts me in a bad mood every single time.

Sadly other stores were out of stock.Sharks! Unfriendly sharks. Hugely disappointed.My story doesnt end there... The very next day I had to return the extremely overpriced part because it was faulty (a.k.a. broken) and the lady at the returns desk told me this happens often because of the how quickly they make the parts. So not only are they overpriced, theyre quite literally a waste of money.Thankfully I got my money back, and saved R20 around the corner.Todays lesson: Shop around people! A good name/brand means nothing if your staff or product quality cant back it up.
