First its not easy to find the Maitland branch. The GPS throws you off because the place is off the Voortrekker main road and the signage is poor. Secondly, The service we received from the coloured lady there was appalling. She completely ignored us when we reached there and when I approached her she showed no interest, went to buy food and we had to find our way around for items we were looking for. When she came back, some coloured customers came and she quickly attended to them. When she was done, I called her on the side and respectfully expressed my dismay at her service. There was no apology and when I said I will report her, she said if it will make me sleep well at night I can go ahead. The person I was with is not from the country, and he was shocked by the display of service we received. What a pity!!!

This is always a cool place to scratch around when youre looking for 2nd hand building materials. They often have great Oregon beams, that look amazing .....once you put them through the planer.

Reasonably priced. Lots of different building goods. Always check new prices before going there. Might not always be justifiably cheaper

If you building dont forget to visit this place first ..i bought all my burglar bars ther and a bug entrace gate ..took my measurements and off we went..much cheaper and the bars were all galvanised ..

The staff were unhelpful. There was dog poo everywhere outside. And the prices werent that goid.
