Client service could be a bit better but the shop is huge and has so much variety. WHEN you can find someone to help, then its awesome....its just to find someone 🤦‍♀️

I was so in awe of this place when I went in. Its so big and has tons selections for every pet you might have. I love the variety and was pleasantly surprised to see that they even have a groomers and vet inside the store as well. Staff were friendly and offered assistance. Definitely an exciting store and they have fish, rabbits, reptiles, birds and mice in store as well.

I spent over R600 there buying a fish and when I got home only to see my poor fishy has rotten fin. I was so excited about my new pet that I didnt even see he was ill. Im disgusted that they sold me a ill pet. They also let me buy fish tonic for my fishs health I didnt question it but its because he has fin rot!!!! Half of his front fin is gone 😭

The store has a fantastic stock and variety catering for all types of pets - everything under one roof! I took off one star for prices being a little high and another for lack of service. I was in the store for pribably 30-45 minutes - several items i looked at were not priced/marked and no-one in sight to ask. When later i did ask one of the staff about a price on a grooming brush, she was vague and left, leaving me wasting time waiting at the item, for her never to return with the price. Staff at till were very helpful and friendly though.

The birds here are fed sunflower seed, which is extremely unhealthy. I wont give them too much flak for this, as most pet shops do this even though it is known to be unhealthy.There is a large Macaw being kept in a display which is barely large enough for the bird to turn around in. There are much cheaper stores within a stones throw and their birds are treated way better.Otherwise, it is reasonably clean and sanitary, but this is also the least that could be expected.

They have everything pet related and more. Not the cheapest but also not the most expensive. The fact that you can get it all in one place make up for any price difference. Staff here are friendly and the cleanliness really is a mark above the rest.

Took a perfectly healthy bunny for grooming, when I got her back she was making funny noises and was sleepy. Their vet checked her out and gave medication that was given to her as prescribed. I thought she was just tired and made sure she was comfortable and warm when she got home, but died a few hours later. There are no cameras to see whether she was hurt while they were busy with her and the managers response was simply sorry. Will never make use of them again

All the shops my 4year old dont need a mask, so I did not have one for her. Was turned away by sarcastic staff and sitting with a crying dauther searching fot another petshop... Please see what was posted by our government. Found another petshop with lovely people helping as to buy our old dog the best food for them.

Service is extremely poorI went there yesterday to the aquarium department and not 1 single person to assist in the 15 minutes I was in the store even tho staff looked at me while walking past1 gentleman eventually came out of the back and looked like he was not really interested in doing his job but was assisting another gentleman and I eventually just walked outI came from malmesbury and just stopped off quickly as my wife needed to be somewhere so it was a quick stop off before heading out againIf I need to scoop my own fish out the tank there should be a notice to do soIf you guys are prepared to lose R1000 purchase in a single sale them thumbs upYour guys working in the aquarium department should take more pride in what they do as floors are filthy and dirty with water and buckets laying everywhere not to mention the tank glass on all tanks that have water streak marks possibly from weeks of not cleaning is extremely poor presentation to a customers eye and the shop being so quiet and nobody on the floor to assist you ask yourself what are they doing?Taking care of tanks is a process I understand as I have 2 myself but when you are a business presentation and hygiene need to be sorted out

Staff made us feel very uncomfortable when we wanted to enter, making us wait by the door to get approval first for us to enter which we did not understand. Afterwards they kept following us everywhere we went as if we looked suspicious. Whilst I was paying for products my friend questioned staff about his baby Guinea Pigs and one staff member immediately reprimanded him about not having them sterilized. Very unprofessional.. Wont shop there again.

Everytime I enter this store I feel like I need to hurry out again. Unfriendly staff With a attitude. It was said that No cash refunds will be done even though the item could not be tested instore because they didnt have a 2 point plug that fits. Will people trying to make sales you would expect businesses to alter here and there to make a sale but not here. This store does not need your sales. Very disappointed

Had a bad experience at the door. They did not want to let my grandson ( 3 years old) enter without a mask, although in the Government Gazette it says children under 6 do not have to wear a mask in a public place.I had to shorten the elastic of one of my masks for him so that we could enter.Inside, a very friendly vet helped me to get the correct type of food for my cat because they did not have the food I wanted to buy. Thank you for this, even if I do not know your name.

We made a booking weeks in advance on the website as I do regularly. Upon our arrival it seemed busy but no more than usual. When I checked in my dog I mentioned as it do every time I take my dog that he is not good with other dogs. The lady at the desk then said to me that I should have told them this before hand. I then informed her that I made the booking online and that there is no option for that. She then got rude by telling me how many other dogs they have at the parlor and if my dog is not good with other dogs they have to close down the rest of the parlor to accommodate him. I need to understand how the website is there to eliminate telephone bookings but yet I still have to call so my dog is safe.

Terrible service. Ignored at the door, sales people saw us then hurried away and the help at the aquatic section was more attitude than anything else. Worst part is that this wasnt our first time being treated like this. Their customer service is non-existent. Wont be returning.

Huuuuge place and I went to buy a female guinea pig today for my piggy at home for a friend ,the lady who helped me was sooo nice and knows a lot about guinea pig and rabbits ! She said the piggy is a albino and she has white fur and pink red eyes but I never knew an albino piggy could be blind,I am taking my piggy for a check up at the vet this week to check on her but poor baby I think she is actually blind. But will continue to love and take care of her ,I named her cherry :)

Wow such an amazing place to be ,I love nature

I would say its a nice shop overall, however the service is horrible rudest stuff ever.We have visited the store quite regularly since it was the only place near me selling frozen rodents also we took our daughter with just to look at animals. So one day we went to the shop my 9 month old in a pram with a blanket over since shes a 9 month old masks/shields is impossible to put on her face. Ok we where allowed in but then things just went crazy as my husband waiting for non existent service to have a frozen rodent i was with my daughter at the reptiles since it was very quite inside maybe 2 more customers in the store. Then things escalated quickly I was opening the blanket just a little to the side so my daughter can see a reptile through a little gap all of a sudden a lady started shouting at me from a distance yelling at me for the small gap where my daughter was looking through telling me that I should leave the store immediately since I breaking the rules.Unfortunately its the only place i can get frozen rodents so I have to send my husband but wish I can avoid this place totally.

My 23 month old daughter was refused access with my wife and I today for the same absolutely hogwash reasons everyone else has already stated in their reviews.The black haired female youngster at the doors attitude towards enforcing this rule and managing this issue was disgusting - she was clearly on a power trip. She was rude, obnoxious and disrespectful.We immediately turned around without entering, and we will never be back.The other reviews have already smashed your draconian unscientific irrational illogical and patently unsafe rules about mask wearing to pieces, so I wont repeat it again because it seems to be falling on deaf ears anyway. But heres some language your profit-drunk management might understand:As a family we have been a dedicated customer of this store for a long time and Ive spent tens of thousands with your aquarium section in particular. Your store is a long way from where I live but we always made the effort to make the 30+ min drive through because I liked your products and your livestock. But guaranteed after today I will NEVER be back and I will absolutely tell everyone else in person and on social media, about this inexcusable treatment. Ill happily rather support my local smaller fish shops who by the way actually thanked me for supporting them today instead of you.And dont even bother replying to this review with your meaningless, insulting canned response. Im not interested at all.

Just popped in to this store looking for food for my 3 tarantulas and left with the food decorations and a new toy for my doggies.So I will definitely be returning to this gem.The prices are really reasonable and the variety is incredible from aquatic to reptiles to birds and doggos and comrade cats. Even bunnies. So make this your next family trip and you will leave with a new family member.

Not very helpfull. Items packed with incorrect pricing then customers get blamed for packing shelves in correctly. Mamager not at all very friendly. Gets told that customer must check barcodes and pricing- not shop responsibility!!!!!

Pet world has really great assistance. Took the time to explain the points of the petworld app.They have a variety of treats and advice on most of my pet issues. They have a variety of products giving you options on what is effective and affordable. My dog loves the treats. Kids love the store its exciting for them to visit.

What a beautiful store with beautiful creatures. Its a pity the staff are so rude and unhelpful. Stood for half an hour waiting to buy fish, was blatantly ignored by the three workers helping out with the fish. Multiple customers complained as other people were being helped first whilst others stood for long waiting to be helped . No order at all. Disappointing service

Disgusted that I can be denied access to a shop in December due to my 3 month old baby not wearing a mask or being completely covered in her pram in the December heat. And the same happened again this week with my now almost 5 month old. Obviously the management has no regard for the safety of children or the law as the amended Disaster management Act clearly states that no child under 6 should be required to wear a mask let alone a baby under a year!!And then to see the pathetic response written to the many other parents complaining of the same shows the mentality of these people. You have lost many clients through this. Pathetic.
