They are very expensive but the care they offer is amazing. My bunny was in critical condition and they took him right away. They take every possible precaution and make sure to miss nothing. If your pet is in need of urgent medical attention or youre really worried about something medical I highly recommend CEAH.I wouldnt recommend for small things like nail clipping due to their prices

Extremely expensive price. To cut nails for one bird costs R 500. 5 minutes job. Before i paid much cheaper for that in another vet. And first time my parrots were shouting a lot. And after cut nails there were not good. Seat and sleep. Doctor said that she will used gas that birds will be not nervous. But there were nervous more than without gas. it was bad choice to go to this vet.

Took my African Grey Parrot in a few days ago as she was not gaining weight. Dr informed me that she had an infection and gave me antibiotics with instructions to see her In a week, I was handed my bill and sent on my way. My bird passed away today, if the condition was that serious then why not hospitalise her or at the very least inform me that she wont make it through the week. Deeply disappointed the Cape Exotic Animal Hospital.

Ive never experienced such empathy & excellent service in my life. Being a new chinnie mom comes with a lot of stress, but the doctors, nurses, & support staff at CEAH took such good care of my fur baby. He was booked in for 2 days, which felt like forever. But, I received updates twice a day on his progress. I could sleep soundly at night, knowing he was in good hands. I would highly recommend CEAH for all your exotic fur baby needs!

First time experience at CEAH with my guinea pig penny and received great service with such friendly people. Definitely felt at home there.

Drs Bernice and Kerry have been absolute brilliant with my African Grey and Lovebird (recently adopted), and I love how gentle Dr Bernice is with my Grey. They saved little Tweetys life, and continue to care for him with so much compassion. HIGHLY recommended.

CEAH have been treating my guinea pigs for over a year. The staff are competent, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. When my pig required a highly complicated tumour removal surgery I was constantly updated of her status and made to feel at ease during her hospitalization. Very pleased to have found an exotic vet of this caliber for my girls.

Rather have insurance or medical aid because it can be expensive

They were fully booked but still made a plan to see my rat when I couldnt find anyone else. When I picked him up he was happy, energetic and playful, and the care provided was top notch.

I am so grateful to Dr Bernice and Auberi for looking after both my old ratty boys with such care and their calming manner in dealing with me in a very stressed state. My Warchal is now on the mend after spending the weekend in little ratty hospital, during which I was kept up to date with his progress. Much appreciated by me sitting at home worrying. Sadly we had to let Mr Smilis go after there was nothing more we could do to keep him comfortable in his battle against cancer, but Dr Bernice and Auberi helped me make this heart-wrenching decision and made this a peaceful passing, which in the end is the best that we can do. Thanks to the CEAH team for all the support ♥

Amazing practice! We were very worried about our little dwarf hamster and struggled to find her the help she needed until we found this practice. The medical staff were very knowledgeable, not to mention kind and compassionate. I would definitely recommend Cape Exotic Animal hospital for both your pets well-being and your own peace of mind.

My bird is AGAIN traumatized. Ive been taking him to CEAH for about a year so I expected better treatment. Im extremely disappointed

CEAH is incredible. My rats have been treated by both dr. Karli and dr. Bernice and both of them are absolutely wonderful! The staff have a clear passion for animals and are always willing to go the extra mile for your furry friends. If you have exotic pets CEAH is definitely the way to go!

I do not recommend for a rabbit going into surgery and/or hospitalization. It was a total nightmare and I’m scarred for life.

I brought my African Grey to Dr Bernice van Huyssteen after a fall, and she and the team took excellent care of him. They are clear experts and handle animals with compassion and care. Dont hestitate to call and visit them. They also give excellent advice about care and diet.

Very very expensive. R2000 for an investigation and I still do not know what is wrong with the bird. Even more sought after may be able to tell me what is wrong. The speculation will probably cost R2000 more. My budget is not that big to test and test until the possible cause may be found.

I would definitely recommend the place to anyone. The people are so friendly and helpful. They make you feel at ease. There are a few places that can take lessons with them for caring, kindness and helpfulness. Well done !!!
