Awesome beach, really clean and no funny smells. Nice soft swirl was epic! Would definitely visit again.

Beautiful beach and scenery

This beach was recently upgraded with a promenade however, people tend to mess it up, vagrants loiter and some unsavory characters are making a home of it. During holidays and festive periods, the place gets so full and folks virtually camp on the promenade, leaving filth and litter behind. Certainly, it is no longer usable as it was designed for. Strand Beach was once a premier swimming beach... Alas, like most of nice places the country once had, degradation seems to be the direction....

Went mid week. Was pretty chilled. Nobody bothered us. Peaceful and the water wasnt too cold and it wasnt too windy. Good experience

Its a healthy and good experience

Strand is a really pretty spot, it was my first time checking this beach out, and I must say it was clean, and pristine. There is puplic toilets which were also spotless, they have staff at the toilets looking after it, there is ample spot to get a bite and dirt cheap ice cream, we saw many people enjoying these ice creams and it seemed there was different colors and flavors, the smell of the ocean was divine and thanks to the concrete barrier that they lucky to have, you can sit on it with out actually being on the beach during the regulations. But the best part for us was the feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle of the city and its surrounding beaches. It was just such a calm feel there. And there is even a little market to explore. For those that havent been to strand, and looking to get out the house in a safe manner, take a drive to strand with the family, go enjoy a snack and a ice cream and unwind from all this thats happening around us these days. Its safe and secure, its fresh and clean, and the people are friendly. There is also the optoin to play putt putt, and a water world.

The walkways, especially the older section, is too narrow for dog walkers, cyclists and joggers

We had lunch at 99 on beach. The view was nice and the service good. They did not have what we ordered from the menu but the waiter was very helpful.

I went somewhere else in Strand but ended up at the beach. Was nice, I really enjoyed
