One of my most favorate places. Dog friendly, friendly people, the beachfront is home to a host of fabulous eating places, sit in and takeaway, gift and antique shops and an open air gym.

Super day on a wonderfully clean beach. Weather was amazing and the water warm.

Gordons bay is an intimate beach where the water is quite warm. The whole family tends to go quite deep into the water at Gordons Bay. Guys were playing soccer at the beach too. There are sun umbrellas that you could rent as well and restaurants surround the beach. There is also a spur on the shore of the beach. Great fun

Loved the beach and we all enjoyed an ice cream in one of the local shops which everyone seemed to be at.

Great weekend and holiday beach outing site. Traffic was hectic but well managed.

Its a beautiful beach with a few restaurants, a ice cream shop and a cute second hand bookstore which sells some books for as little at 50 cents.

Beach is the place where I can hear my own thoughts. Feel free, fresh air. Hear the water. All my troubles just vanish. ( lol if only) ,but atleast for that moment.

Much better spot than Strand. Less people and great for kids to have fun.

The water was allot hotter than we expected, lots of benches to relax on, everything in good condition. Very clean beach and small waves perfect for the little ones in the family and lost of sea life on the rocks to keep them entertained. Lifeguards also around and toilet facilities available. Play, swim or just relax under the trees.

A great beach for tanning, swimming, dog walking, restaurant availability, pubs and many more. Plenty of parking but can get a little crowded during holiday season. There is so much potential and I wonder how much better it would be if every second shop wasnt an estate agent?! It seems very safe and has a police station in Beach road. I understand that this place is popular to Capetonians wanting to escape the crowds on their popular beaches.

Safe, clean beach. Bring the kids to explore the rock pools during low tide. Can get busy during peak season.

Its my hometown and I love the place! The beach was surprisingly clean, although here and there I spotted a piece of plastic and other rubbish that washed ashore. I did my bit for the environment and picked up as much as I could to put it in the bin with the resolve of carrying a plastic bag with me next time to have a greater clean up effort. Otherwise, a family friendly, safe kiddies beach with lots of friendly local residents strolling around, enjoying the last of the warm summer days. The select choice of restaurants just across the road from the main beach of course makes this the ideal beach outing on any given day.

Clean beach, clear water with minimal waves and beautiful scenery. The water is quite shallow for a reasonable distance which allows you to go further into the water and take in the surroundings from a central view. Restaurants are at a reasonable distance. The water is a good temperature and it is a fairly safe beach. An absolutely beautiful place to be with a spectacular sunset

What a beautiful clean beach. I am not sure if this is a blue flag beach. The walkways are tidy. Dog friendly. Everyone cleans if their dogs mess. The council keeps its finger on this beach. If you are in capetown on holiday. Please come see for yourself. The restaurants are word class.

Great intertidal action at this beach. Catch the low tide and come find sea treasures....anenomes, chitons and seastars galore. And you might find an octopus if you are lucky.Safe swimming for kiddies especially at low tide. Rocky underfoot though. Not the right beach if youre looking to surf or just enjoy the waves. Always check the wind situation first...that South Easter can hit GB hard sometimes.Dogs on leads allowed on one section of beach too.Sunsets on the beach are a special way to end the day.

Its was a lovely day at the beach. A bit windy but water was great. The beach wasnt that full.You have 2 pop in at my favourite store called Aladdins Cave opposite the main section of the beach. All the odds and ends , gadgets and pretty ornaments. There is also a book shop next to it. You cant miss it as there is a car parked on top of the shop😱After that u can pop in at the icecream shop.I hope u find this info useful.

So much plastic floating in the water and on the shore , but the water temperature is nice .

Best water if you want to swim. The showers are currently not in working condition so rinsing is abit of a problem.

The beach is best experienced during low tide. Lots of interesting restaurants and shops in close proximity. Can get quite busy during the holiday seasons, and parking is always an issue during those days.Beautiful views and walkways to go for a stroll. The beach is fairly safe and the water is calm enough for kids to enjoy.

The best beach to go for a swim and just spend the day with family. The water is simply amazing one just cant get enough. Well kept beaches.

Love it here on Bikini Beach. Love Beach Road.

Too many people walking dogs without leeches and vagrants roaming

If its blowing in the Strand you might fight a sheltered spot here. Very safe to swim here. Normally lots of parking. Just bring your own gazebo or umbrella.

So glad it wasnt overcrowded while on lockdown

Gordons Bay is a perfect family place, superb surroundings and a sandy beach with a shallow, kid friendly seashore, like most places in the cape, the wind can be cruel, but the trade off is well worth it.

A kids friendly, safe area. Clean with good safe parking. The Spur on the beach, we did not visit it this time, is an excellent idea. Good food... N hande-treetjie weg!

Good place for people to see small crabs and starfish in the shallow water, water is a bit cold. Lots of shells on the beach. Surrounding area is clean with ample parking available in the area and parking areas at the beach. Worth a visit.

Excellent it is always refreshing seating by the beach. Gordons Bay beach is always calm and many people love it

Repairs can be done to the grass surfaces on the beach walkway. Enjoyed beautiful sunset!

I enjoyed the variety of restorants, uncle Roys ice-cream shop and great Seaview. Its either you can take a nice beach walk, a good swim in warm sea water, bring your beach tent or seat in your car and enjoy the sea view. Free safe parking with car guards. Convinient for family, couples or alone.

The beach is generally calmer than Strand but watch out for hidden rocks in the water,, and dont expect any decent waves. Think of it as a large swimming pool, particularly at low tide.

Extremely scenic spot. You can sit in your car and watch tge sunset, or do it Gordons way and get an ice cream @UnclesBARRYSIceCream and chill on the beach 🏖

We sat in the car and had something to eat while watching the waves. Its still lockdown level 3 and not many people around. We took a walk and after weeks been cooped up at home the kids loved it. The beach was clean but many vagrants around. We had a lovely afternoon though

Everything about nature is great for me. I usually give 5 stars but this beachs water is way too salty. You cannot stay in it long. Your face starts to burn as as well your eyes. Other than that it is lovely to swim in besides the copious amounts of rocks. There is a lot of parking. Free parking. There is a Spur close by in case you get hungry. There is an outdoor gym nearby. Food to run on the beach for training. They have life guards. Can swim anywhere you want in the water no restrictions like other beaches...

Beach has allot of rocks and it can get windy. The shops in the area and extra parking makes it a good place to setup for the day.
