My first time ordering sushi from Redies and I am very happy. Reasonably priced and gorgeously fresh.

Arrived there this evening at 1945....as busy helping my son move....and amazing sushi made in less than 15 minutes..especially that they close @ 8!...thats excellent service....thank you....

Redies service is always fast, always friendly and the food is always tasty and freshly prepared! Did I mention that their prices are very good too? Szechuan and King Pow dishes are always a winner!

Im so mixed in my feelings here. The food is always great and the menu variety excellent, but the place and kitchen always looks SO dirty. Sticky tables, fried oil smell throughout the place and tacky decor. I love you Redies, just tidy up a bit please!

Great sushi. We order from them regularly. The only thing that really grinds my gears is paying R500-R600 per order and not getting complimentary wooden chopsticks. Maybe something to consider.

The prawns in the crispy prawn roll was raw.

The staff is friendly, and you can see they take safety protocols (COVId19) serious , its clean, the food is good.The portions are large, you get more than you pay for, the sushi took a bit long, but considering how understaffed they were and busy its understandable. Its definitly a good spot if youre craving Chinese but Id recommend ordering beforehand to save some time.

I love Redies. They have really good sushi which wont leave you bankrupt and their Asian dishes are very tasty and well made. Portions are generous.

Terrible. Sweet and Sour pork was just horrible and the sauce was like plain water. No taste. Egg fried rice was hard and massive pieces of egg everywhere. Chicken choy mein was drenched in soy sauce. Whole meal was a mess. They should stick to sushi and nothing else.

Too noodles were terrible....Not value for money... Legit Just spaghetti with soysauce... Incredibly salty... Way to strong... Would not recomend there is a beter chinese restaurant nearby.

This is a small restaurant which adds to an intimate feel. The menu covers the basics and more. One of my favorites. The Combos are excellently priced - but does not affect the quality thereof. Great for sit down, or just a quick take away.

Wow sushi. Worth finding them. I was pleasantly surprised. Place was so popular. I had lunch there, went back for supper. Both times sushi. Had the fried chips while I waited. Do that. Very reasonably priced too. Owner is on the ball and pleasant and pro active.

Very good and very cheap sushi. Ive ordered lots of platters and types of sushi from here and its all been great. Theyre fast and make ordering over the phone and collection easy

King pow beef and Cashew chicken with noodles is a must try on their menu! And their sushi is so delicious coming from someone who is extremely fussy and always skeptical about trying some new place. We tried it and its lekker. Rainbow rolls, ocean rolls and California rolls are winners.

Had the combo for 2 takeaway, the chicken Chow Mein, Sweet&Sour chicken and Spring rolls. The Spring Rolls was much, much too oily, the S&S (pastry balls) were bland and unimpressive (with an interesting pinkish sauce to give it some flavour) and with rice that was probably not very fresh. The Chow Mein also mainly just tasted stale with a few little pieces of chicken in between.

Bought the chicken cashew nuts as a take away. Rice is undercooked. Chicken is slightly off. Everything looks bleak and white and floats in a bowl of boiled garlic water. Wont go back there. Update in reply: I didnt keep it in the box for longer than 5 min as I ate it in a nearby parking area in the car while it was still warm. So the problem doesnt lie there. Unless the take away place kept it in the box too long?

Ordered through uber eats. Beef chow mein. Third of it was cold and all of it tasted quite bland. As if it was just taken out of the freezer/fridge.Would also be nice if you guys gave us some chopsticks with our orders.All over id say i wont be buying from you again anytime soon

Worst Chinese food I have ever had. Went to get some lunch and decided to go here, biggest mistake. The lady who took my order was in a rush to get her belly filled (not sure if she was on lunch?) - she didnt even ask me if I would like to sit down and I wasnt offered any drink with my meal. No customer service existence at all. The sweet and sour pork was mediocre and the rice seemed like it was the previous days leftovers. I gave them another chance - I ordered some sushi they had on special - once again, it was served in a take away box and I was clearly sitting down to eat(its like she wanted to get me away or something haha). What a pathetic excuse for a Chinese restaurant :(

I ordered the sweet and sour pork with egg fried rice through uber eats firstly the worst egg fried rice ever, it tasted like 5day old reheated normal tastic, it was not even sweet and sour, they just provided an artificial “sweet and sour sauce” that looked like a transparent red/pink colour. I’m not even sure if the pork was cooked properly. The presentation was horrific not appetizing at all. My colleagues were even shocked at my meal. The deep fried pork was so oily it became nauseating to eat. First time ordering but will never order again!

Ordered 2 chow mein. One with with noodles. The one with noodleds had double the size of rice. Ordered veggies as well. Only got fried onions. Very disappointed.

Great place that went downhill fast. For your health please avoid this place. They have cancelled their buffet, and start charging extra for each thing ie chopsticks. You would get this free at other restaurants. Their sushi portions have also decreased drastically in size.Also the last time I ordered sushi the rice was actually very old and not fresh. You could clearly taste it.Pity they were great but now its best to avoid.If however you want great chinese food go to Happy Yum Yum in Monte Vista or Golden Tiger in Bothasig. These are the top 2 Chinese restaurants and are frequented by most local Chinese. And whats best, they wont charge extra for chopsticks.

Nice fresh sushi and dumplings are tasty too. Food usually tends to be nicely done and flavourful. Staff ate friendly except the grumpy owner who always seems miserable. Prices are okay.

Ordered through uber eats the food was a mess when it arrived , the sweet and sour chicken tasted like it was made in old oil and the rice was old and hard. The spring rolls were drenched in oil and the vegetables in the chow mein tasted off ..... Honestly the worst chinese food we have had.
