Absolutely horrible customer experience, with no support for servicing and customer queries. Call-centers are pathetic with 55mins waiting in queue with no one to answer the call. The chat assistance is also limited and has restricted access to resources and tools. The email service is just not accessible with no replies for months. The refund process is out of order and has no definite SLAs.

Overall Emirates is amazing to fly with but I do have a few minor complaints:Flight from Bali to Dubai (EK 399): No menus were handed out and when we asked for the chicken dish, we were told its finished. 10 minutes later, more chicken miracously appeared!Flight from Dubai to Cape Town (EK 770): Food was cold, cabin crew looked downright depressed (except for one lady) and one lady also gave us attitude for something which was actually a mistake on their side.Besides this, we were extremely impressed with Emirates. Cabin crew on 3 out of the 4 flights were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the food was tasty and sufficient, the legroom great for economy and the ICE entertainment had a great variety to choose from.

Absolutely, terrible! It is one of the most difficult companies to communicate with. PLEASE, Emirates Airlines, you need to improve your services to customers.

As long as I have a choice, I will choose to fly with Emirates. Planning our trip to Bali from South Africa we knew we wanted to fly with Emirates Air. From choosing our flights (many available options) until the day we arrived back home it was a pleasure to be an Emirates passenger and guest. The Emirates App and online service is user friendly, the ground service at the airports was as good as it gets traveling economy class and onboard was amazing. We love Emirates.

For 6 years, Emirates was the perfect airline from booking to crew to their amazing food. This time around they made all sorts of mistakes like asking for my childs passport, making it clear that we must carry his birth certificate, then charging him as a full price adult. When we showed them the error, they said we must fill out forms and there will be an investigation {he is 7 years old, you made the mistake, now its our problem etc.} we had to pay more and they have not attempted to rectify the error...Emirates were the saviour for all economy travellers, we felt what it was like to taste first class; now we are left with a bad taste in our mouths. The cabin crew service is inconsistent and both service levels and food quality have dropped and Emirates have continued to remove options and services that made them the wonderful airline that they used to be...Sadly to date, they are becoming like every other airline...

They cancelled our flight home without stating any reason and have offered literally no help - no rebooking options from different flight companies, no refund, even no wifi connection to solve it by ourselves

Presently, one gets a real human being to help you on a phone call after a minute wait. A rare thing. Lets hope this continues. The operator may be overseas, but the assistance is very professional.

I was lied to, then ripped off for oversize baggage. Dishonest, unhelpful response to my support request.I booked a flight with Emirates that departed and returned from Cape Town. I specifically visited the airport in Cape Town to enquire about taking my snowboard bag with me as checked luggage, and whether there would be any additional charge.Cape Town Emirates staff told me there would NOT be an additional charge for any of my Emirates flights (outbound and return), and they did NOT charge me to check my snowboard bag. However, when returning, I was told by the Emirates staff at NRT airport in Japan that the charge would be the equivalent of R 3671.71 (over $200 US dollars!) to bring my snowboard bag back home, due to the fact that the snowboard bag was longer than 150cm.I consider this to be completely unacceptable and deceptive behaviour by Emirates. Emirates cannot tell me in Cape Town that I will not be charged for my bag, only to have different Emirates staff in Japan charge me on the way back when I have no option but to pay or leave my bag behind!! I spent a terrible 30 minutes at the check in counter trying to explain to the staff but they refused to understand probably due to language barrier.I opened a customer support query and they basically just referred me to the website and told me to get stuffed. So buyer beware! They will lie to you then extort you when you have no defence. No refund.

.....…..We just love flying! Period! We thorough-lii love floating through the air high in the skies and enjoying the good foods and drinks that Emirates is well known for while watching movies, learning a bit of a new language but most of all just having the time of lives sitting back and relaxing, yes and that is flying in economic class, we have seen and met many sport’s and TV celebrities also flying in economic class who like us know and believe that the plane is just a means to an end “getting us from point A to point B”! That is why we don’t mind the round-about-way of flying with Emirates Airlines first flying to Dubai and then to our chosen destination’s, we have flown with Emirates to the U.K., Beijing China, and various destinations in Europe. Always finding that there prices to be right and there on-board services to be of an ultra-high standard. They are a bit stick-ii when it comes too been overweight with your baggage but otherwise the book-ins and getting to fly on time is always good! When we look back at our flights from Cape Town to Dubai we then realize that we have flown the full length of the African continent and when we have flown from Dubai to London we have flown the width of the African continent! Wow! Having your own TV monitor you are able to record your travel escapade in video clips as you are able to see at all time where you are at! Most of the planes flying from Cape Town to Dubai are the normal 777-300 series but what’s very cool is when flying from Dubai to most international destinations you get to fly on the A380-800 the “Mother of the Air- Crafts” Wi-Fi, Phone calls can be made, stay connected to the Internet throughout your flight some real amazing experiences! The economic cabin looks like a large TV salon/sales centre with lots and lots of TV screens ………………We just love flying with Emirates Air-Lines!.....
