My flight cancelled and never knew until less than 24 hours before leaving. Then very difficult to find anyone to answer queries. Went to Cape Town Airport nobody knew anything, were sent to Head office in Strand Street where we could not get them to answer the phone. Was told the lady would do what she could and email me still nothing. This is maybe when using a more reputable Airline is advisable.

The customer service was not professional.I understand that COVID is a reality for all if us but you cannot expect a piece of paper being given should justify your interaction with your customer.You still need to give exceptional customer service and just not use a paper to push your customer quickly out of the door.

Information offered by the call Centre agent was totally different to the information offered at the offices.I was told to rather contact the call Centre as they have more information. So how are 2 entities of the same company not equally informative?

We see a lot of old reviews here and find it hard to balance same with the present service. This airline, since lockdown, has been booking flights and false representing itself as though scheduled flights are confirmed.This airline after SA announcement of opening airport on October 1st 2020, has rescheduled flights that were confirmed for both 1st October and 2nd October.This airline rescheduled flights stoping at Addis and kept mute about flights from Addis to other destinations.This airline has closed its cape town office and leave majority of its passengers wondering wether their booking was a scam or otherwise. Hopefully they will open their office on 1st October 2020.This airline has refused to reply to its emails.We wouldnt recommend this airline anytime soon except something changes.

I am battling to get a refund from Ethiopian Airlines after they cancelled their flights...I booked via e dreams, Ethiopian Airlines call center agents are directing me to call e dreams for a refund... e dreams are telling me to contact Ethiopian Airlines for a refund, I paid via EFT and not a credit card I need to contact my local Ethiopian airline office... which I did..... nobody answers the phone !!! As advised by your Live Chat Staff, I was advised to call you in order to verify a booking for a Multi City booking using my Sheba Miles and Credit Card. I was on hold for over 40 minutes,2 agents answered in this time. Could not or did not want to assist me and dropped the call. This is unacceptable customer service; in fact it is NO service at all. Would you prefer that I use either Qatar Airways or Emirates in future as my preferred Business Class carrier? Absolutely pathetic excuse for a corporate office. The girls are sitting talking nonsense to each other while the phones are ringing off the hook. When I asked why they dont answer I was told because they are only two. Two people doing absolutely nothing. They werent able to assist me either. Why are you paying rent and salaries for nothing?

Ethiopian airlines cancelled my boyfriendβs flight from SA to Germany last minute which caused him to be late on quarantine and he couldnβt compete in races he was meant to race overseas. Not reliable. Could have cost him his future. When he eventually got the flight a few days later there was no entertainment on screens despite other airlines having this service even during Covid times.
Why have a phone when it NEVER gets answered? Why register as a business on Google if you NEVER follow up with feedback, reviews or questions from customers? Pathetic.
They have a closed sign on door, with three three contact numbers that donot pick up when dialed, this bad service may have other indicators to the way they run the airline
Very unusual setting.I imagine that as long as you are able to find what you are looking for.So,if you receive service with a smile it is always a bonus.One have to make sure that if you wish to physically go there that you know exactly where the venue is situated that you find parking close by othetwize you may be in for a bit of a walk.

The lady was rather friendly and gave enough information to ensure first time resolution to my queries. I felt as much trust as I usually feel when dealing with SAA. Next flight to Dubai will definitely be with Ethiopian Airlines.

I had to change my ticket at Addis Ababa airport. Had about an hour between two flights. The ladies at the ticket desk were very helpful and they did the impossible. Not only I got to Cape Town on time, my bag arrived with the next flight Just after me. Was a very pleasant surprise.

I flew Ethiopian return from CPT to UK. I upgraded my ticket for the return journey (ET847). The seating was fantastic - but I was totally disappointed with the food served. I am GF and I never got a decent meal⦠Even though the hot dinner was GF, the other items on the tray were full of Gluten! If I had not checked the ingredients I may have been poisoned.I thought the food would be better in Business. Other passengers had a choice, I had to eat what was put in front of me. The before-dinner snacks were full of Gluten. For starters I was served fruit salad and green salad, followed by a fish-dish with tomato (it looked like it came from Economy). The dessert trolley and chocolates were full of Gluten!The service, staff, and bed were fantastic, but the meal was disappointing. Ethiopian did not even try!I am unhappy that I paid so much and ended up eating the same, boring meal that I got in Economy. I would like Ethiopian to upgrade my partners ticket free of charge from ADD to CPT when he returns mid-July. Upgrading his ticket would make me happy again. Thank you.

The Cape Town office workers do not answer calls and when one time I am able to get connected, a lady receptionist hanged on me on September 27, 2017 around 2:35 PM. Please train them how to serve customers.
