I think the location on google maps is not quite accurate, the food was amazing however. Great beef stew, tender meat and flavourful oily stew. The Chakalaka was nice as well. Would beg again!

Despite the food tasting good, it took about 45 minutes for 3 dishes - with less than 5 other patrons present. We also needed to request a single drink order 3 times. This took place on Wednesday 6 October 2021 at about 13:00

Went there lastweek on Heritage day... the food was nice but the service was too bad we had to find ourselves a table that was dirty and asked 1 of the waiter to assist but none was helping we had to ask for menu... and they gave us the menu after 50 minutes.

I really wanted my first experience to be mind blowing but I got the total opposite. It was just bad service several menu items not available, waitresses running up and down not being attentive, we decided to go to the bar and order drinks but we waited a while how can there be only one barman at an event? The manager shouts at the staff in front of customers I was so upset at that honestly guys please pull up your socks!

Pitsos has over that years become one of the most sort after plates of food in Capetown on a Saturday and with the opening of the restaurant at Makers Landing I assumed endless supply of my favorites. How disappointing it was to arrive on a Saturday (1pm) and be told that 80% of the menu was still being prepared and would be ready in 10min. So we place a takeaway order, do the rounds and return an hour plus later only to be avoided by the manager on duty and our waitress returns to tells us that the items we ordered are still not ready 10 more minutes... We try to order soft drinks to we can sip while we wait, none in stock.Ended up only taking one dish instead of 2-3A very disappointing and underwhelming exeperince given that the whole trip to the cruise terminal was to visit this restaurant.

FINALLY went to Pitso’s Kitchen and tried their Mogodu with their steamed bread.Positives:Let’s start with the bread, it was AMAZING, I ordered the Chakalaka as my side, enjoyed the taste. The Mogodu itself had great flavour just a tad bit dandy and that ALWAYS puts me off when eating tripe.Negatives:They got our order wrong, prepared the Braai option instead of the tripe we ordered. The sand bits on my tripe.Service was SUPER slow. Waited long periods for drinks, when we were sat down it then them 20min to attend to us, and the restaurant was empty. We only stayed because we really wanted the experience but being ignored while staff was going on about arranging tables and what not to prepare for a comedy show was off putting. My date was drinking Mojito and they ran out of ice 😞.I couldn’t understand how this could be if they had precooked tables, and they were all booked - proper planning wasn’t done on this regard. Our waiter had ZERO personality, I always enjoy a good banter between me and the service staff, maybe she was having an ‘off’ day so that’s easy to forgive. She gave wrong cutlery, didn’t give us water to wash our hands.I become super critical with these little things because I come from service and genuinely hope they take all these negatives as a learning opportunity to improve. Black owned businesses fail daily because we are too scared to point out negatives to help them grow.
