Very neat and comfortable stay. The owners went out of their way to accommodate us! The chalets are very well kitted out with Dstv, wifi and heated blankets for the winter. All in all l, a pleasant stay atba very affordable price

Self catering taken to another level of luxury. No falling around for anything, with daily cleaning. Dstv to keep kids occupied between our errands and visiting my mom. Coming back to a warm Shower and bed with electric blankets for just gives me that homely feeling. Hospitality at its best. Thank you. No question where we’ll stay on our next visit to my mom😁

Wonderful hosts, Amazing Breakfast and a comfortable stay. Loved the warm electric blankets in the cold nights. Excellent wi-fi connection. A must stay for your overnight en route to Kgalagadi from Cape Town and returning home with easy access from the highway.

Lovely small guesthouse in a historical building in Calvinia. The owners were so accommodating and all was great. Well appointed rooms. Well be back again hopefully for the festival.

Lovely spot. Breakfast is great, so do go for that. The owners are very friendly and helpful and know the area, so feel free to quiz them, before you plan your excursion into the surrounding Karoo.

We highly recommend this conveniently positioned place to stay in Calvinia. We stayed in one of their well appointed self catering chalets which stock everything that one needs. The beds were wonderfully comfortable for a great nights rest

We had a great one night stay. Beds are good, rooms are warm ( did not stay in the manor house), breakfast is fantastic! Due to COVID only two restaurants in town, but the hotel served lamb to die for.

Good linen and beds, breakfast very good. We did not liked the fact that you actually share a house with the owners and because of the old wooden floors every step can be heard when walking down the hall. Did not like bath and open toilet in bedroom. There is rooms outside house..so if you dont like sleeping in the house, ask specifically for that.

What a lovely guesthouse! Marcel and Gezina are very hospitable, even going as far as making a dinner booking for us at a popular location (which was excellent!) when I only asked for restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was fantastic, especially the eggs and tomato. I also really appreciated Marcels introduction to the property and telling us a few things about Calvinia. Id absolutely stay here again!

Had a lovely stay. Stayed in the self catering cottage. Kids played outside. Decor is beautiful. The owner booked us in at a nice restaurant. Helped us out with a doctor. The next morning we had a superb full brealfast. The hospitality was excellent!
