What seemed like the most unlikely place to stay in Beaufort turned out to be a wonderful stay with our amazing host Jacques.Outstanding breakfast and a must to try his world class Olive Ice Cream! Wow! Were sad we didnt have dinner there too.Dont know when well be through again but if we do well be there again.Scott and Kirsten
The hospitality was excellent. Big thanks to the owner for taking us in with no prior booking and helping with shelter against the rain. I would definitely stay over again and recommend the place to anyone.
Okay as a stop-over. The restaurant, however, is closed during off-peak times. Breakfast available. Rooms and bathroom are clean and neat. Secure parking available.
It is always worth it to spend a night over on your way to Cape town. The owner is always friendly and makes you feel very welcome.
Not impressed. Do not think Ye Olde Thatch Guesthouse will be operating for long. Very supportive Manager (?) But the DSTV did not work, the water was leaking (although there are water restrictions), and the cost for B&B per night is very high - for a one star quality!
Wonderful and peaceful escape from the everyday life that transports you to a different place and time but with all the modern luxuries!
If there can be a place I recommend for a sleep over it will be ye olde thatch for hospitality and and atmosphere thats overwellemd. Thank you Jacques for making our stay pleasent and thank you for be a greater host. May God bless you.
