Donkin Country House is by far one of the best lodges I have ever been to. I stayed in a two bedroom flat with my family and everything was perfect. The flat was very spacious, it had a wonderful style and was kept exceptionally clean. The staff were very polite and friendly and the service was excellent.The food was also amazing too.All and all Id say the Donkin Country House is the best play to stay if you need to stay over somewhere in the Beaufort West area.

Love staying ova when traveling for work. Same room everytime,its my home away from home. Daphne is the sweetest and most caring mother figure away from home. Staff is extremely friendly and the place in a whole is just awesome.Cant wait for my next visit.

Stayed for 1night, 3bedroom apartment was clean, up to date styling of bedrooms. being a drought stricken area, they removed taps from bath. They have a sit-down restaurant serving all meals. Owner is friendly and very accommodative.

Very easy to find. A gem in the middle of the Karoo accomodation are clean and supercede all my expentations . The food was over the moon, the staff very friendly a well earned 5 star to this place

Convenient place to stay over in Beaufort West. Rooms are clean and overall cost is reasonable. Dinner was great with some traditional Douuth African dishes. Breakfast was average but the fig jam was delicious.

Quiet clean friendly service

We were spoiled by Aunty Rita for who no effert was too big. Safe, ideally for bikers. Room were surprisingly more than expected, decorated with old Karroo charm.

The rooms are a little small for the amount of people they can accommodate, but they are pet friendly and have everything you need for an overnight stay! The staff are so friendly too and the owner is lovely!

Great overnight stop in Beaufort West! Clean and spacious rooms. Very friendly staff. Food was delicious lamb chops, roasted potatoes, sweet carrots, bean stew and rice. Bar available. Beautiful outdoors areas with tables and chairs. Braai available to those who prefer to braai their own meat. Worth the stopover!

Well located, clean and comfortable room and bed. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Secured and spacious parking.

Accommodation and dinner was good but very noisy with trucks running all night.

What a little GemIn the Karoo. After trying many places for a stop over on our Charity cycle tour, this is by far the Best! Tannie Rita & her team were so unbelievably caring & attentativeThe food was amazing, quality Karoo Lamb Chops & a SA speciality, Green bean stew done perfectly.What a pity we only had one night, thank you Rita & team for always looking after us so well🙏

Great big en suite rooms with kitchen and lounge. Pleasant staff, clean and tidy with ouma supervising the kitchen. Pet friendly and good rates. Perfect stopover between Jozi and Cape Town.

Great value for money, the room was clean, had great bedding, hot water and TV. There is a dinner buffet option and the service was rapid and friendly. Parking is safe.

Donkin House is a lovely place to stay. The rooms have a nice sized shower, a TV in both the lounge and bedroom, a small kitchenette and an aircon in the lounge area. Unfortunately the restaurant closed early which we is why I have only given it a three star rating. When I had spoken to the BnB on the phone they had said the restaurant would be open until 8:30pm but when we went to the restaurant at 7:30pm it was closed because it wasnt busy enough to stay open. Apart from that fact the room was well equipped and comfortable. With tea, coffee and milk provided and the possibility to buy yummy cookies in the reception area.
