What a great experience we had. Nadia went above and beyond to make a journey a memorable one. She calmed us down when we felt a overwhelmed. Such a beautiful chapel where the ceremony took place. The food, my word the food was ridiculously good. Guests was complimenting the food days after the reception. The stunning mountain views make for a great backdrop to pictures. Due to the weather we sat inside so couldnt appreciate the view. The food was very tasty, my Lamb Knuckle Curry was devine and others had Asian style Ribs and the Roast Sirlion. The Pinotage and Shiraz were also very nice. Highly recommended if youre in the area.

It was an amazing experience to have a wedding here! The general atmosphere was always calm even if we freaked out. The organizers were so helpful and the venues beauty speaks for itself!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and food was great, but we waited almost an half an hour just to be served. Food took an hour and I never received my cappuccino with cream ( that was my drink) . 5 min before our food came they told me there is problem with the cream and wanted to give me normal cappuccino. When we received our Cutlery it wasnt clean properly. I understand they didnt expect the rush, but this is unacceptable. Hope they read this and work at it

Yesterday we experienced another fabulous lunch at Waverly Hill Wines & Restaurant. The food was delicious and the the service was brilliant. This restaurant is a hidden jewel and it is a must to visit if you are in the area.

Lovely views, and there is a nice 20min outdoor walk. Food is fantastic, and great service from the friendly staff. The wines are a must try and certified organic.

The wine tasting was a disappointment as you pay R 50 per head to get a tasting of about two tablespoon per glass. I have never before in my life seen such small tastings, and I frequently do wine routes as I am a wine fanatic. The restaurant is great and the pizzas to die for. But the tastings was a drawback for this trip.** Update**Super impressed Manager came to our table within 10 minutes of posting the review to remedy the wine tasting experience. As a result I changed my star rating from 3 to 4.

Went with my friends and had high hopes looking at the reviews, but was so disappointed. Service was shocking and the friendliness was just as bad. Ricky was rude and did not attempt to improve our experience.

Always a pleasure visiting Waverley! The ambience, views, food, service -it all makes for an amazing experience especially on a winters day when seated at the fire place. Also picnics at the jungle gym great with the kids:)

Great view, friendly staff and excellent food

Excellent food served in a particularly beautiful setting. Start with some wine tasting and then move into the dining room and drool over the menu. There were some lovely, innovative dishes as well as the option to choose what you would like in a picnic basket. I had the best ever vegetarian pizza, but omnivores will also be very happy with the choices.

Breathtaking views as you approach this stunning vineyard. The restaurant has high ceilings giving making it very open. You can purchase wine, olives and olive oil from the estate. The food was incredibly well presented and fresh. We had incredible prawns, delicious lamb and wonderful brownies to finish. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality. They werent able to accommodate last minute dietary requirements though for groups preventing some of our group from getting a decent main course though. However food was delicious and waitresses lovely if the chef was not able to accommodate requests.

The views are great. The food of the entire table was cold and took 1h30 mins to make. Burgers aren’t complicated , come on Waverley restaurant

A delightful wine estate up on the hill overlooking the Tulbagh valley. The wine tasting wad enjoyable and the wine is good. The prices were reasonable and wine we liked was on special. The restaurant looks good but we were to early for lunch. If the food is as good ad the view and ambiance then it must be good.

We went to Visit the Farm without making a booking. on arrival we received a warm welcome to the Estate at the Tasting room from a very friendly lady the tasting was amazing and very informative and we also brought some wine from the bubbly lady :-) We had lunch at the Restaurant wow delicious food and friendly waitress assisted us and made the day extra special. Thank you for the good service! we will definitely be back and will recommend you to family and friends.

This is about the 6th time weve been to Waverley Hills and the service, the food and the atmosphere is the best ever! Stunning setting to try out a vast range of organic wines

Lovely set up but the wines are the worst i have ever tasted. Great olives though so it wasnt a complete wasted visit

The organic wine is light and easy to drink, and of surprisingly good quality with a full range of flavours. There is a selection of homemade ice-cream, that features interesting local flavours such as Rooibos. The restaurant dining area is modern, full of light and offers a superb view of Mostertshoek, which is the highest peak in the area and covered by snow at times in the winter.

Vegan pizza was magical and the wines are vegan friendly.

Beautiful hills but restaurant food not so great. Steak was medium rare but had lots of membranes and strands. Mussels sauce was very salty but seafood pasta was great.

They are still serving amazing food. Very strict on wearing masks and temperature reading. And lots of zero alcohol choices on the menu.

A most perfect wine, heavy, smooth and really tasty. One of my best tasted wines from South Africa. Bought the a bottle of this multiple awarded wine in ZA a year ago SMV 2013, and enjoy it now in Norway. I will be back when corona is over.

I am very reluctant to give any establishment a bad review, but oh my word!!!! How this place is still open is utterly beyond my comprehension. We went for breakfast there this morning as part of a post wedding celebration. Service was non-existent. Half our group eventually gave up and left. Those of us that remained behind waited for our food forever. It took them almost 45 minutes just to bring our coffee. When my breakfast finally arrived, it was cold and disgusting. I ordered an orange juice, only to be told an hour later that they dont even STOCK orange juice. We were literally the only table there (I saw another couple arrive about an hour after we arrived) so it wasnt as if they were over-booked and understaffed PLUS we didnt just pitch with no notice. They were fully aware of us coming as it was pre-booked. It literally breaks my brain that a business like this would supply such bad service during a COVID year when everyone is struggling to save their businesses. We werent demanding or difficult. We simply wanted to order and receive our meals and drinks in a timely manner. Im actually mortified to think that international tourists have to endure this kind of service in an area that is renowned for good service and hospitality. At some point, when going to the toilet, I overheard the manager telling one of the waitresses that it cant be helped if people complain, as they were doing the best they can. If that is their best, I shudder to think what their worst look like. Shocking, shocking, shocking!!!

Food & experience was great. Unfortunately due to the alcohol ban in level 3 lockdown in South Africa, we were unable to taste their wine so I opted for a Duchess alcohol free Gin & Tonic

Waverley Hills, international award winning wines, is a must do organic wine tasting experience. The wines are the best Ive tasted in the area. The pizzas are divine and beautifully presented.

Wine tasting was excellent...lots of their wine have received awards including John Platter awards. The wine tasting was for free. We ate a pizza which was tasty and thin crusted and locally made. Ampke parking and air conditioner inside.

Arrived there just after 14h00 on the 24th December 2019 and was informed that the kitchen was closing at 15h00. We decided to place our order straight away and then taste some of the wines while waiting for our lunch. When we asked for the menu we were told that the kitchen had in fact closed at 14h00. I think it would have been better for them to have either informed us immediately on our arrival or had a sign up at their main entrance or on their website or FB page. An overseas couple arrived at the same time as we did only to be told that the kitchen had closed. Not great for promoting the W. Cape wine route. However that said their wines, some of which we did get to taste, are excellent. In particular their Grenache Rose.

Just drove all the way from Bloemfontein and made a stop here to eat, we were greeted and treated in an amazing manner, they tought us about their wines and one can see they are passionate!!! Thank you Maryka for your world class service...

Lovely food a d the bubbles was so refreshing

Bobotie spring rolls, blue sea views(actually farms) and organic wines without the sulphites... 10 out of 10 place amongst the hills... The food pricing is cheap and the quality is good, portions are big, so come hungry. The wines here are international winners of note and one of the cab sauvs is without sulphite(best enjoyed chilled) which is an allergy-free winner. Best to take the day and spend it here, bring family and friends!!!
