What type of establishment takes a non-threatening genuine feedback item and bashes clients for that view? Unacceptable. The menu was very limited (and no, we were not there over the snow weekend). As someone who cannot eat red meat or have any diary, I really struggled to find anything suitable at this restaurant. The owners incredibly rude response made the experience and memories of our trip here even worse. Its incredibly patronising to be told the reason for not stocking alternative milks is because 0.1% of our customers ask for them. LOTS of people have allergies and health concerns meaning they cannot have eat/drink any lactose - its not just for vegan customers, although that should be taken seriously too. Additionally, alternative milks are long life and can be kept for a while - its not a huge expense. Looking at your responses to other 1-star reviews, Id just like to add that I work alongside a local cafe and we NEVER make Covid an excuse for bad service or a bad experience. We also would NEVER bash people for writing their honest review - thats just unprofessional. Perhaps take it as an opportunity to improve rather than an opportunity to berate people people for not enjoying your space. Everyone is suffering because of Covid - its not an excuse.

Scenic Inn. Located at junction of 2 major roads. Stunning scenery. Went for Sunday lunch with family. Nice food and decent local wines.

The Harvest Table Bistro is a lovely family restaurant. Excellent service, friendly and attentive staff and owners. The menu is vast and the food was sublime. Best pizza and burgers weve had since moving to the Cape! Highly recommended.

Whilst there are great reviews, this was my experience at Harvest Bistro:My friends and I visited the restaurant yesterday, 28 August 2021, after seeing the snow in Ceres. The service we received from the restaurant was absolutely horrible. No one seated us until I asked to be seat. I had to ask for the menus twice and after 30 minutes, no one took our order. The restaurant was somewhat busy and it didnt look like they were understaffed and even if they were, they should have communicated with us. After more than 30 minutes of terrible service, we decided to leave. Upon our departure, the owner/manager just looked at us, not asking why were leaving, instead she chatted away.Would be great if their services can be improved for future business.Sadly, not a great experience.

We didn’t stay the evening but we did try the restaurant on our way through. We were pleasantly surprised by the relaxed atmosphere, the calming music but most of all their food. The mozzarella chicken burger is a MUST. It was spectacular. So glad we found this gem. If you are looking for a place to stop for coffee and something to it, there’s no need to look further. The waiter was friendly and the owner was just as pleasant.

Beautiful Sunday Morning BreakfastWe visited the gorgeous restaurant at the Winterberg Inn this morning and enjoyed the most delicious breakfast. All the elements were perfectly prepared and I particularly enjoyed the homemade bread and delightful corn fritters. Their homemade lemonade is very refreshing and definitely worth a try. Thank you to Karien and her friendly staff for a great Sunday morning breakfast.

We had a lovely breakfast next to the garden while the little one where playing.

I had my daughters birthday party there, they had a fun time! The service was great, and the waiters were very patient and friendly with the girls. Compliments to the chef on delivering 9 delicious pizzas! Thank you, and see you again soon!

Nice place to stopover on the way to Clanwilliam. I had the pulled pork burger which was good but lose some of the grissle and make sure the chips are properly cooked. The location is good and service was also good...

Visiting the Harvest table bistro was an horrible experience. There is only one waiter to service all the tables which means slow service. I has the chicken burger on their menu which was overpriced for what you get. The bun was so hard I could not bite through it and could only eat the chicken. When telling the waiter about the experience he just replied with okay. Would never visit again

Cute venue offering lodging to those who want as well as a reasonably priced restaurant. They offer the normal food at the restaurant including burgers, pizza, and starters for those who are just feeling peckish. Definitely a nice stop for a Sunday lunch, if youre in the area, as they have some great offers on hand - be sure to call beforehand and ask what the specials are!

My boyfriend and I always make a point to visit the Winterberg Inn whenever we are in or around the valley. The delicious, melt in your mouth ribs keep us coming back as I really think they beat any ribs Ive had in Cape Town. The staff and management team are attentive and friendly and food appears in the right amount of time. Oh, and the pool is a life saver during those days when the temperature soars!

Gorgeous breakfast spot!! The view is breathtaking and the food was lovely. When it gets busy the service does slow down but still worth it. A must try is the Shakshuka (pic attached) amazing!

This is such a brilliant spot at the foot of the Ceres pass. The venue restaurant is under utilised and the staff are too few to cater on busy days for light meals. Ample parking, lovely mountain views in this tranquil setting.

Cozy place to stay anytime...Best rates in the area if you need a place to rest while traveling far or even if planning a weekend with the family.The staff are friendly, the food is great and the beer is refreshing.They also serve a good old cup of Joe and I have to say, their breakfast stays my favourite.

My wife has booked us for a Saturday Night for my friends wedding. She found the booking experience extremely tedious and frustrating.Another friend of mine is also coming to the wedding and has booked accommodation at another place for two nights without any hassles. I was hoping to book an extra night to be able to spend some more time with my friends from far, but there is no answer on the telephone number provided and no alternative number to dial. Also their website is down ...Seems like well be booking in somewhere else for Friday nightIf this is the service you get on trying to make a booking, Id rather not think about the service to expect on arrival

What used to be a lovely little spot for Saturday morning breakfast has turned into a great view with absolutely pathetic service . Worst experience ever on 11 August 2018. Waited for breakfast for more than an hour . The waiter was rude, unfriendly and uninterested. The menu changes are appalling and leave no room for selection of options . 3 breakfast options which arent even captivating. Employ more staff and employ people who enjoy customer service .
