Idyllic. You can sit here for hours and hours and hours. Burgers were nice. Coffee was good. Would have loved some kind of dessert to go with the coffee perhaps? The ideal time to go is in the week because it is quiet. I will definitely return.

A beautiful restaurant with amazing views and so peaceful and relaxing sitting on the deck watching the bird life on the pond. Ive also sat at one of the tables tucked away under the trees which is lovely. The food is delicious. Im gluten intolerant but i just ask for a bunless burger and still enjoy it. The beef patty is 100% beef.

Another one of those gems in the area, after starting with the wine tasting at Hidden Valley, we ended with lunch at The Deck. Its not what you would expect, a sort of food truck style way of ordering food and finding a seat floating on the water but it works so well.The burgers and calamari was fantastic, full of flavour and a decent size, well worth the distance if travelling from Cape Town. Combined with a bottle of wine and the views, it was truly a great experience.

This place makes me think of heaven. Its high up the mountain, its closer to heaven and its really hidden in a valley. Here you can have burgers and calamari sitting on a floating deck on the dam while enjoying wine, a view of the dam and the mountains. Best burger ever.

This place is amazing, I just wanted some place to relax and unwind in a more chilled place. In a calm place engulfed with nature. Hidden Valley did for me.

Oh. My. Word. There actually arent words to accurately describe this place. What a gem. I had the opportunity of having a slow lunch here...definitely a place where time doesnt matter. Views for days, mountains and greenery. Serenity and space. The Deck is on a lake and the food is delicious (of course the wine too!). As a born and bred citygirl, all I can say is wow. Definitely will not be forgetting this gem of a place.

Food was exceptional. Not as affordable with the wine as other wine farms Ive been too but amazing non the less. Also a beautiful nature trail to walk with your loved one. Throughly enjoyed the time there.

Really beautiful spot, in natural setting. Limited menu and disappointingly we were unlucky with our pizzas. Overcooked on the outer side and undercooked in the middle, regrettably not as enjoyable as should have been.

Very disappointed with The Deck, google showed they serve 2 dishes namely hamburgers & fish with chips. I dont eat gluten & they only had hamburgers & pizza. We skipped the meal & just had coffee which was very good though!

Was a great spot for all groups for small intimate picnic for two on the numerous grass lawns and private alcoves. For big groups u have ample space with enough seating for everyone. So if u wanna break away from the hussle and bussle of the busy city and drive up the hidden valley. So do stop by and enjoy the scenic eating areas.

Beautiful wine farm and unique restaurant floating on a small dam in Hidden Valley Stellenbosch. Different options offered from picnicking to the affordable Deck restaurant we visited to the fancy Overture restaurant so they cater for everyone. Very nice nature walks with bird viewing options and excellent wine.

Excellent setting but unfortunately very inconsistent with the food. Eaten there a couple of times now and the burger has been done from perfect to over done to boarder line burned.

What a beautiful place!! The scenery and atmosphere around the dam is surreal!! Greatest hamburgers to eat right there on the dam. You can do wine tastings at the top tasting venue overlooking the entire valley. Beautiful views from there. There is also a formal dinning restaurant at the tasting venue with lots to choose from. The wines are very easy to drink. Love Hidden Valley.

After arriving we proceeded to the order point, as step 1 on the sign at the entrance suggests as to “how to get yourself fed”. The staff asked us whether we had a table on the deck, to which we responded that we did not. The deck was full and although the sign at the entrance clearly states that should the deck be full that patrons are welcome to use the lawn or even the wine tasting centre the staff did not want to serve us food. We were keen for a lunch-time burger, but left hungry and disappointed. This restaurant does not take any bookings so be careful not to be caught out by poor signage.

We came here just by chance because our initial goal was Ernie Els (they were closed for renovation). What a nice little paradise we found here. We had great hamburgers with a view of the lake and the mountains! Very friendly staff too! Definitely will come back!

Beautiful Setting

Beautiful relaxing environment whether on the deck or on the lawns. Unfortunately they only sell the Hidden Valley wines, and not beer.

The view is beautiful as well as all the surroundings. We had to wait a long time for our pizza because it was busy. I had a burger which was very expensive but taste wise was very bland. Drinks selection is not that great, wish they had beer on tap or gin and Tonic. I recommend going there for a glass of wine and rather sharing a pizza than having a burger.

Had an expensive, mediocre burger that was still raw inside. To be honest, a big Mac is better value. At this price point I would expect proper cutlery, and hand cut fries. Go to Jordan for the Burger instead.

Great spot

Always a wonderful setting and the food is delicious, lots of attention to detail. Pity that the red wine had sediment rocks in it which management werent too apologetic about. But it was good wine nonetheless.

This is a fantastic place to visit. This is also the highest wine farm overlooking the Stellenbosch valley with spectacular views. On the deck we ordered the burger option and it was a great choice, together with a nice bottle of wine.The atmosphere and views are great. We also took great pictures so it is also fantastic from a photography point of view for many great memory photos.This is a must visit to the Stellenbosch wine route.

Best Burgers, but chips tasted like oven bake chips. When we were there 2 years before, the chips was amazing, dont know why they changed it. The pizza was not that nice. The crust was hard and burnt and staff was unfriendly. Beautifull views!!

A stunning place to spend a Sunday afternoon having a light lunch and some fine wine overlooking the dam. The deck sits on top of the water with a counter right on the edge which gives unobstructed views of the water and the mountains.The lawns are ideally suited for a sit down picnic on the grass.Pizzas and burgers are the main fare, but they add to the menu on a daily basis.This is the poor cousin of the (very swanky) Overture restaurant situated further up in the tasting room of the estate.

The most beautiful venue. The burger is exquisite! Definitely worth it! Staff are very friendly and the food is served quickly. Really worth a visit! A very small three item menu though as well as limited drinks are served. The main restaurant has a wider range available.
