You should never drive past this hidden gem when in St Helena Bay! It is unpretentious in every way but the food is amazing! Best fish we had in a long time! Love this place and wonderful setting! Will be back!

Not impressive. Had snoek and it was PaP snoek. When we informed the staff they looked at us as if we did not no what we talking about. They said they will inform the kitchen.

We were optimistic at first, however, things went south very quickly. People who came in after us got their food first, we waited over an hour for our meals, and when we wanted to pay the system didnt work. They use an iPad system and it didnt work. We waited 15 minutes to process our transaction.

Food is always a winner... most delicious fish on the West Coast for sure.... owner and staff very friendly a must to visit...

We waited for more than an hour for our food without any explanation. We only got an apology after complaining and this is most certainly not the first time. Another reason for my low rate we have waited an hour for our food as mentioned and the people sitting next to our table came in and ordered half-hour later and our food and theirs were served at the same time, they even got all their food before us. I am very disappointed we really wanted to give your restaurant another change yet no improvement.

We were pleasantly surprised. Amazing fresh fish, prawns, calamari chips and salad. Oh so fresh, tasty and very well presented. If youre in St Helena Bay gi and experience it yourself. We met the owner and is wife Melody who prepares all the food. Super scrumptious. Will definitely recommend thus establishment for a tast meal. The service was excellent too. The price is very reasonable.

Just a lovely experience, beautiful ocean view, spacious restuarant. Seafood was delicious and well plated... worth every cent. Owners Melody and Charl are so friendly, place is clean and well kept... WELL DONE guys!!! We will definitely come visit soon as you guys made our drive from Cape Town worthwhile.

I took a drive down to St Helena Bay today and was forced to stop at a garage where I ask a petrol attendant where can find fish and chips. He advised me to go to the harbour just around the corner. When I took a left turn thought Im at Snoekies in Houtbay but when I entered Oppikaai I realise that this is no ordinary fish and chips takeaways. I nevertheless decided to sit down. When I got the menu figured that this is next level seafood.Long story short this was the most pleasant experience ever. The friendliest most warm hearted owners and staff I ever came across.The set-up,atmosphere and location just perfect. The preparation and presentation our food was fit for a king, not to mention the tartar sauce with a twist.Whoever might be reading this dont have to take my word, but go try Oppikaai yourself. Definitely an experience worth the try...Well done Melody,Charl and staff you will definitely see me in the near future.

Terrible service. Nothing that I ordered from the menu was available and when our food finally came it was half raw.First and last time. Would not recommend, just up the street theres a much cheaper and friendlier fish 🐠 serving establishment.
