Great friendly service. We ordered the Captains Platter. The seafood was out of this world. Best ever! Please buy the cook a drink and tip the wait staff. They deserve it.

Our party of 4 had hake, Chicken Schnitzel and the Navigators parcel. My hake was absolutely fantastic, the ladys had the Chicken schnitzel and said it was the best ever. My brother-in-law had the parcel - his comment was that it was one of the best meals he had in a long time. It was clear that everything was freshly prepared (it takes a while as does most quality things). The prices are also very reasonable. This unassuming place deserves to get lots of support. JP and his team is doing an outstanding job.

Huge FLAVOURFUL mussels. SOFT juicy calamari. hot plates. Delicious sauces. Hot lemon water for washing hands. Chef is Vincent Breytenbach.

Whether you go for a drink at the pub or go eat in the restaurant, the hospitality is amazing. Burgers very good, generous seafood portions and we tried the pizza, the wood-fired pizza I had was generously loaded with topping absolutely no skimping there we got parmesan cheese , garlic and chilies to put over that, not that it was necessary thank you, JP

I picked the seafood pizza out of curiosity, hadnt ever heard of it before, and ended up disliking it quite a bit... though that was likely just my mistake, as my family wouldnt stop talking about how good the food was.The only real complaint I have is that the room was full of smoke, which I thonk came from the pizza oven? Not sure. But thats what stripped the stars down a bit

We got to St Helena Bay quite late and were lucky enough to find JP’s Grill still open. Enjoyed a pizza and a drink. Very friendly staff

Sorry for the mistake made by putting wrong rewiev on JPs Grill and Bistro about the oysters was ment for some other Resturant was click of a wrong button...I am very sorry...my experience of JPs Grill and Bistrowas always good food greate service and company👌

They had the most delicious 3 course Sunday roast special for a great price and the Esptada was Devine. Will definitely be back ,thank you for a great lunch 🙂

Simply wonderful. My Kingklip, chips and salad tonight was superb, and at R99 was the best value in the province. The pork spare ribs were (apparently) also very tasty, and staff so friendly, helpful and generous.

Their T-bone steak and ribs are the best Ive had so far!! The food overall is great

Never ever judge a book by its cover .... This restaurant didnt look like much from the outside and we almost left because it didnt look open until we saw someone come out.I am so thankful we didnt leave because boy o boy was the food good. I had the best burger Ive ever had and my husband the surf n turf. His steak was perfectly prepared and the calamari soft and tender.What a delightful find of a restaurant!! Absolutely faultless meal despite its no frills looks.

Lovely lunch with seafood 🦞 platter for 2 (wonderful prawns perfectly cooked, mussels, fresh hake & crumbed calamari & chips - €16!) - fillet on a bed of tagliatelle and great pizzas! Friendly efficient service and a kind proprietor- We will be back for more.

Dont let the industrial area look on the outside put you off. The food and service was amazing, we really enjoyed it.

The best pizza ever...

Made a booking, but when we arrived there was no record of the booking. Had to wait for a table. Only one waiter and it took a very long time for our order to be taken. Food arrived after a long wait and was cold. Had to send steak back to be heated up. Pepper steak sauce had no pepper in. Food was ok, once heated up. Dirty window panes next to table, with spiders and spiderwebs. Smoke from bar came into non-smoking area, as the door was kept open by a rock.

Absolutely great food , big portions- value for money. Waiting period for food between 20 and 30 minutes , but its worth a wait. Take own alcoholic beverages with - no liqiour licence. Atmosphere relax and staff very friendly.
