What a pleasant experience, such a diverse menu that caters for all! Love it!Giblets were mouthwatering... soft and so tasty.. their own made chilli 🌶 sauce oh my heavens!!Baby deboned chicken, soft ... moist and very tasty.. . Hand-cut chips...pity about the chip spice not for everyone .Atmosphere, Jonny and staff really makes one just feel welcomed and wanting to return to try their menu again!!!

Easily the best seafood restaurant in Johannesburg North! Food is always fresh and cooked beautifully every time. We have ordered take away also and they used good quality packaging and the food was as tasty as in restaurant..one of my favorites

We had lunch at Jonnys and ordered from the lunch special menu. The food was great and was served within 15 minutes of ordering so we were in and out in 45 minutes. Jonnys is great for a quick lunch; and the prices are better than the local franchises. The Waggu beef burger and chips with a free sauce was only R75.

Such a fabulous Portuguese restaurant in Dainfern. Food consistently delicious anything you order the seafood 🦞 is fabulous and when Oysters 🦪 are available they are huge, tasty and well priced 🤤 Johnny is there every day managing the place, vibey upmarket crowd. Always full so booking is advised.

First time visit and cant fault this place. Friendly staff pleasant atmosphere. Hubby and I shared a prawn curry, for starters snails and grilled squid heads - all very delish. Will certainly be eating at Johnnys place again.

We had never been to Jonnys before and certainly were not expecting the great, professional and friendly level of service we received, and dont get be started on the food.A generous helping of squid heads to start followed by the delicious chicken Parmigiano which was the most amazing chicken I have ever had, then followed by deep fried oreas and ice cream - a dessert I never knew existed. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE TREAT! Worth your money and worth your while! I cant wait to go back.

Best sunday Portuguese restaurant in northern Johannesburg

Johnnys is really the best restaurant in the area. From steak to seafood - they know how. And you wont get oysters fresher than this. Try them. You will come back for more. Oh, you have to book as they are full every night.

I like jonnys a lot, they provide quality services and their staffs are not taking their customers for granted. They have highly qualified chefs and waiters that doesnt take their customers for granted. Actually at jonnys they dont compromises in what they do

One of the best restaurants Ive ever been to.

Johnnys appears to be a very simple restaurant from outside and even from inside to be frank. The decor is nothing to write home about, clean but simple decor. That is the general appearance in my eyes. However it is very well supported! The food is good, the service is great and it is not an overly costly place. This was my first visit, due to the fact that I now live in the Eastern Cape and for that reason alone I doubt that I will return any time soon but if I do I will visit again.

Went there for a meal with friends on Sunday. Loads of atmosphere and great food.

Jonnys is a great place to eat. Often quite difficult to get a table but when you can its worth it. Its got got good atmosphere in a relaxed environment but for me, I come because the food is really top notch. Very good quality and the prices are very reasonable for what you get

Johnnys is a good, casual restaurant that every person who lives nearby or passes by it should visit. Its food is slightly overrated but despite this remains at a relatively high quality. Its prawn curry for example is among the best I have ever had. The service is also good and its location is both accessible and safe. The food is generally served fast, and the environment is energetic and vibrant, though it can become very noisy and hard to talk to other people.The menu itself is simple, good for a casual dinner/lunch, you should not expect anything too fancy and with the exception of a few dishes nothing exceptional.

Jonnys is a lovely place to go relax for a meal. Friendly and efficient service. I love to sit on the terrace and feel at the seaside even though it is for smokers. Love the food especially the daily specials posted on the board. Good pricing.

Food was absolutely superb! Had a fillet and a Cajun calamari, both cooked to perfection and accompanied with awesome sides! Service was friendly, efficient yet not overly intrusive. Atmosphere and vibe, amazing! Definitely a must try, and Ill be back...without doubt!

Fantastic Portuguese chicken. By far the best version Ive had locally. Prawns lacked flavor but were cooked beautifully. Staff were somewhat friendly but not very attentive even on days when it wasnt busy.

Johnnys Place is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is incredible. The vibe is good and the service is always excellent. Johnny is always there and knows most of his customers well. We especially love the calamari and the baby chicken.

Had my Dads birthday bash at Jonnys on Sat 8th Feb 2020. The food was scrumptious, the service outstanding, and the vibe unforgettable. Definitely the best function venue in town. Ten out of ten to all the staff members who made the day such a success. Thumbs up to Jonnys!

Great meal and service

Excellent seafood destination with brilliant service. My guest and I shared a Roquefort Salad served with the lightest of fresh Portuguese Rolls. Salad was generous in content with a creamy dressing. Our main course was Kabeljou with delicious sides of freah veg and sweet potato fries. Fish cooked to perfection. Although a bit pricey a worthwhile treat. Highly recommended.
