The chilli pasta is great! I havent tried anything else on the menu as it is not halaal but their food seems good. For Italian food lovers. Mostly pasta on the menu though.

Charming, intimate, child friendly restaurant. Excellent service & the owner is hands on, friendly and hella funny. She even gave us tasty homemade Clemechello (hope I spelled it correctly) that was tasty and will order a bottle next time.

The calamari starter was returned as it wasnt cooked well but the main meal, seafood pasta, was divine! Love the ambience, the garden and the welcoming hostess. Thank you

Really phenomenal food. Every person at the table enjoyed their meal. The manager/owner was really lovely. I would definitely go back there.The only downside was the waiting staff was not up to scratch in comparison to everything else we experienced.

This is a little gem of a restaurant in a green space in Sandton. It may not have the interior/exterior design standards of other Sandton restaurants but you come here for the food. This is a real familly Italian restaurant with real North Italian food, under Italian control. The rabbit ravioli was amazing and the truffle ravioli was the best I ever had. Of a group of 6 nobody had anything bad to say and every plate was eaten clean.

What a lovely Sunday lunch. Food great ,loved the relaxed atmosphere with lovely live background music. Will be back!

Great Authentic italian food

Felt like visiting an old friend, great food

Overpriced spot and the garden is very shabby. Pull out the weeds guys and put the fences and cement posts out of site and fix the outside lamps that have broken and fallen over. Ask how much the specials are as a simple artichoke ravioli was billed at R220.00 Luckily we were not charged for the doll sized eclair at he end of the meal. Wines are all either R320 for local or R580 for Italian.

Delicious pasta dishes. A friendly suggestion: the navy blue table cloths outside in the garden are too dark. Made the area feel sombre. A lighter color would be nice.

Celebrated a special occasion (Birthday) so we chose Stelle restaurant. Wish we had not!Positives - great outdoor setting and wonderful musician entertaining us during lunch.Arrived at 13h30 - took a good 15 min for a waiter to ask us what we would like to drink. Eventually we ordered and it came quite fast. Once again we waited so long to order starters and mains. The restaurant wasnt full (maybe 40 people) it took about 35 min for 4 starters to arrive at our table. Starters were average. Not bad but also not good. It was after 15h00 before we finally received our main course which came staggered (also the plates from the starters hadnt even been removed). Half of the guests had to start eating otherwise the food would have gotten cold! We asked for salt and pepper 3 times and eventually we received it half way through. 3 of us ordered fillets. What a joke! It was more like a minute steak and every Fillet was over cooked. Mine was so bad that I couldnt even eat it. It was grey and completely dried out! Another guest had the seafood pasta - which came highly recommended - the pasta were so badly overcooked and the entire pasta had an unpleasant fishy taste (we love seafood pasta but this tasted like sea water). We asked for the manager to come x3 times over 10 min but she showed no interest. Eventually we got up with the plate and walked inside to her. She obviously didnt expect this and tried to explain that this pasta was fresh and thats why it was so soft - absolute rubbish - in any case she apologized and said she would make us new dishes as she wouldnt accept the fillet either but unfortunately after receiving such shocking service and having it spoil the day we said thank you but No. After once again looking for a waiter for quite some time we asked for the bill and of course we were charged for the spoilt meals which she even admitted to that she herself would be unhappy if received. They did take the pasta off the bill. We are not here to get free food but if you disappoint and your chef can not even cook basics, rectify it! The manager was then seen at a table, conviently located further down enjoying her wine instead of taking care of customers or thanking them and saying good bye. Clearly doesnt care! Stelle restaurant - not stellar at all!

Great atmosphere and very courteous staff.The food was excellent too.There even was a performer there that played soft background music under the trees.It was one of the restaurant-jewels on our trip through South Africa.

I have just eaten the most sublime lunch at this restaurant. In my opinion there is no Northern Italian competitor in SA. The truffle and mushroom risotto was probably the best I’ve eaten, here or in Italy.

Wow all I can say is amazing and actually needs 10 stars out of 5. The food and service and pricing for the quality and portions is just amazing. I personally recommend this place for dinner and lunch. Been back 3 times in one month and all staff are so friendly and efficient.

For vegetarians perhaps. Very limited meat selections from the menu which differed from what was on the website. We were one of two guests at peak dinner time. I now understand why. The food is very mediocre and the tiramisu was runny. The staff were very pleasant. Certainly wont be back.

This review is about Septimo Italian restaurant in Nelson Mandela square , nothing to do with Stelle restuarant as everyone needs to know how Bad Septimo in sandton is and the Head chef Andy that runs it.Worked there a whole month in the kitchen as a chef, was fired after head chef set up an employee to argue with me insult me, and get me fired because of that. Was Only Paid R1000 for working there a Whole month, bunch of criminals .Head chef there Andy was racist towards me because in Indian. He also doesnt like blacks.

Beautiful restaurant in Rivonia right in a park, We had a long Sunday lunch and we enjoyed the great food in a garden full of atmosphere. Calm, relaxed and with a family touch. Food was Italian and wine list was extensive and quality. Ravioli di castagne and salciccia were the highlight and the main courses were really special: we had lamb rack and tagliata with rucola. Great desserts, actually best gelato I ever had in Johannesburg. We will certainly come back also because parking was easy inside the premises and our children could safely play in the guarded park.

Top class italian restaurant. Real traditional and creative food from Piemonte. We enjoyed very much the RAvioli di castagne e con funghi. Great dish is their Tagliatelle di mare. Excellent wine selection from Piemonte, great Barbera Carlin de PAolo.Premises are elegant, well managed. PArking is inside. Nice garden for children. Kind people.
