I enjoyed dinner here with a friend one evening, I was worried when I arrived if there was enough parking but good thing there’s more than enough behind the gate (and it’s free!). Our waiter paid enough attention to us and recommended a really good cocktail. I enjoyed my pasta and the dessert was okay I guess (regular vanilla ice cream without the espresso). Only taking off one star because there was an annoying man (not a patron at the restaurant but a guest at the hotel) who just would not go away — I guess that’s the downside of eating at a restaurant hotel.

The staff is so so kind and the food is amazing ! The chair was abit tall for me so my feet couldnt reach the bottom to push in properly and the waiter kindly and gently pushed me in and always checked up on us. The manager is very kind as well, recommended.

I think they have really great breakfast. I tbinkbtheirnin restaurant offering is pretty good. No beers on tap sadly. I decided to go with 3 stars because their delivery standards are shocking. The food is poor quality and mostly ice cold. I wouldnt recommend ordering from them.

The food was greatI just didn’t understand the pool being right next to the dinning/ eating area. If guests wanted to swimmers take a dip, since it’s a splash pool, it would be a problem for a lot of people.

Nice location, food was great! I had a pure beef burger meal. I had to try that all black patty, haha. Deck could be better laid out as to make the most of it. Im into plants, so once again biased.

We have had Pablos Egg Go Bar on our to eat list for quite sometime. During the lockdown we were quite sad to hear of their closing, cos we kept wanting to take the trip to Mellville for a sunday breakfast.Luckily we heard they re-opened in the newly launched Mint Hotel 84 on Katherine St so we could finally get our share of Pablo Sandton 🎉🎉I called in the week to make a booking as I know many people were happy to hear they were back in business and now much closer too, so figured rather be safe than sorry. I was told that they dont take bookings over weekends, as we wanted to come around 9am for 3 people and were told that we should be able to get a table as it gets alot busier after 11am. Clearly that statement doesnt apply to everyone, as when we arrived there were some reserved tables of which I knew the one occupant. So that just annoyed me slightly.Luckily our waiter Wesley was on the ball. We ordered our drinks. Turmeric Lemonade and 2 x Cardamon Coffee. As a person who loves trying new varieties, this Lemonade is pretty darn good, cant say the reaction for the Cardamon coffee was good they said it tasted weak and lacked flavour.As for our food, we took the Red Shakshuka (I mean how can you not order it - 3 eggs poached in a middle eastern style tomato sauce with Hummus, Green salsa and Yemeni flat bread😋), the Breakfast bun (Steak & Bacon Cheddar balls with smoked back Bacon, crispy fried Egg, Pablos mayo on an English muffin with Triple cooked chips), Salmon Scramble (eggs scrambled in butter with smoked salmon, black sesame and coriander) and the Granola Yoghurt fruit bowl (Homemade Granola with fruit, real Greek yogurt, honey and toasted cashew and coconut)When the food arrived, everything looked amazing, and so did the taste. Our Shakshuka was just perfect and the eggs poached right. The yemeni flat bread with the hummus was also tummy..The Breakfast bun was good but the meatballs slightly dry, so needed some more pablo Mayo or something but otherwise tasty, and the chips - delicious. The scramble and the granola also tasted really fresh and lovely. Granola was particularly unique with its flavour profile and crunch. 👍🏻Great morning having a catchup, finished off with a Cappuccino with cream and a Dirty Espresso.Another compliment I must give is the clean and neat toilets, not often do you find establishments with such decent facilities. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Before leaving we took a quick walk by the outside tables by the pool. Not sure whose brave enough to swin there 🤔And my only other gripe is the parking area and signage. Someone didnt plan for all the big cars who dont know how to park in small places between lines and just finding this spot in general. We call Pablo the breakfast place within my close friend group, I think primarily because of their Shakshuka; but its certainly much more than that. Ive stayed a weekend at the hotel in which its based. Had couple of meals. Let me tell you, they dont miss. Highly. Recommend. But if youre to try it out, start off with breakfast.

Only got takeaways, but really good. Pizza still good after having to reheat.

Really good food such a genuine sweet staff. Fairly priced and delicious. Well made drinks with knowledgeable bartenders.

After reading a reviews and seeing the pictures on Instagram I added Pablo (inside Mint Hotel on Katherine Street) onto my list for #ShaziReviews to explore.My friend and I hadnt seen each other in a while and since Saturday 07 November was a sunny day I thought Great day to try out Pablo and eat by the pool deck! 😁 for #ShaziReviewsI was going to make a reservation but on the reviews they said they dont take reservations on weekends, not sure why.Saturday at lunchtime with the sun out in all its glory I arrive at the Mint hotel and the entry into the parking is 1 entry gate managed by 1 security guard scanning each car coming in so there was a 8 minute hold up 😑Once parked I enter the restaurant and it is PACKED 😭 and smaller than I expected it to be. COVID regulations are in place and the place is BUZZING but surprisingly not loud although it is full. The decor is minimal and warm, gives it a great look. Crowd is young and lively. I am seated by the lovely hostess at the pizza oven area to wait for a table.15 minutes later we are seated and waiting for a waiter, this takes a while. Eventually we get a waiter and order our drinks and food at the same time. Approximately 30 minutes later 1 of 2 items I ordered come out (kitchen issues 😑) and no drinks still 🤷🏾‍♀️ about 10 minutes later our cocktails arrive and 10 minutes later my second item comes out.Food was lovely, the flavors worked well together and so fresh 😍 I had the prawn & chorizo skewer and turmeric chicken thighs (both dishes are tapas and not main meals so dont expect large portions).I suggest you have the PALOMA cocktail when you go, it is DELICIOUS 😋 and not crazy sweet.At 3 a DJ came on the decks by the pool and played relaxed tunes and the crowd got MUCH younger 🤣😂 that was when we left. I will go back at 3 pm next time Im in a party mood.Service 1,5/5Look and feel 4/5Food 3/5Vibe 4/5

My partner and I have always loved Pablo-Eggs-Go-Bar in Melville so since their move we decided to check it out. Pablo is a mood. Great ambience, good food and flatbread to absolutely die for (Im not even exaggerating). The new spot looks like it would great for summer brunches sitting outside with friends/family or your partner and just enjoying life. Not to say its not a good spot right now in winter - its great all year round hahahaha but you know what I mean. In short - go there, its worth it.

Some of the tapas were excellent. Some were average. Service was good. Staff friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was a bit lacking for a dinner venue as it opens right up onto Katherine Drive so you are less than 10m away from the traffic when sitting out on the pool deck. Probably best for a weekend breakfast or evening pizzas when the traffic is light and ambiance is less important.

Regardless of which Pablo you go to. Its consistently brilliant. Great music, excellent food, quality cocktails and a great vibe. Love it.

Not a great place if you wanting a calm, quiet place to eat. If you want very loud must that you cant hear yourself think let alone hear what people are saying to you, then this is your place.

Get better signage for the turn.Try keep the all-day breakfast, that’s your USP. Food took too long and was underwhelming. The drinks too. Waiter forgot about other ordered meals. I was a regular at Melville but my visit to Sandton was so disappointing, for lack of a better word😏😢

Absolutely the best shakshuka in Joburg that I have eaten. Can be a bit buzzy but we had a great table upstairs ( recommended for children). Food and coffee is excellent.

Nice setting.They have limited knowledge of how to stick and manage a Bar.The waiter did not know the names of the drink ordered and poured the aperitif into the wrong glass.

I guess the pictures raised my expectations and my expectations were not met when I got there. Its a decent place, looks clean with a poolside and a small restaurant area. Lots of parking if you coming in with a car.The food itself? We were there for a quick bite and had the peri-peri prawns and a salad. The prawns felt over-priced but it really tasted good. Would be great for a side of salad, chips or something to be included in the price.

Pablo is familiar in name and food as its the relocated Pablo Eggs-go-bar from Old Melville.The service is great, the food is great though the new setting in the Mint hotel overlooking Katherine Street in Ssndton does let it down a bit. It used to be warm and vibey and a bit quirky. Now its just vibey.We were there for brunch and very happy with the good fare and good service.

We had a great time. Good is reasonable priced and delicious. Vegan and vegetarian menu is tapas. The smashed avo on toast breakfast is amazing! They have wifi and theres parking available at the back of the hotel. Really enjoyed it, definitely coming back. Seating is outside, spaced tables, santiser available.

Pablo is such a vibe! Come for brunch, stay for sundowners. This is what happened to me. Great food, great drinks, great time!

Flies, flies, flies. Baby potatoes were overly crisp, almost burnt. Schnitzel was dry and tasteless if you ask for even an extra serviette from a waiter who is not serving your table you will be ignored. Had to wait awhile for our bill. Music was too loud for the afternoon. Red velvet cake was good but wouldnt drizzle a red coulis on it.

I was a bit nervous because we used to visit the Melville location and I wasnt sure what to expect from Sandton. The view onto the street isnt particularly inspiring but the set up looking onto the pool is actually an improvement on Melville. Most importantly, the food is still absolutely excellent. The Yemini flatbread alone was worth the longer drive. Ive never been a fan of their non-alcoholic drink options, and so it remains. But I still think 5 stars is deserved because of the unique range of breakfast choices, which are all first class. Will definitely be back ASAP, especially because the lunch menu also looks very appetising indeed.
