The location of the restaurant is almost perfect with the view of the big screen plus the music and service was good on the night. However when the bill came there was a service fee of R180 that i was not told about and I still gave a tip. This may not have been the waiters fault but frankly i am disgusted by the by the fact that they would just let us innocent little kinders be scammed like that.

Great location, superb atmosphere and great food but absolutely terrible service!the first problem i’d had was during a saturday evening, i’d ordered a pizza- forgot the name, that was extremely hot but absolutely delicious. with that, i proceeded to ask my waiter for a glass of water for my younger sister and i. the server at our table was extremely rude and told us that he has other tables to wait on and can’t be JUST getting us water! i was in distraught and decided to get the bill and leave immediately. when the bill arrived, i had no intention to tip the man that spoke to me with such attitude, but he harassed me to and said he wanted one. i cannot believe the performance of this man! i would love to know his name to speak to the manager. god bless

This restaurant survived longer then most here at the square, thats partly because they have a well balanced menu, that said, the taste however has been very precarious, changing from time to time even though you order the same dish all the time, I think its because of the the change of the kitchen staff perhaps. They have a very nice vantage point at the square however they lack the comfortable seats outside, they should include sofas, its pretty much a norm for a restaurant of this category.

Delicious Pizza with some new and exciting flavours, quite different to your normal pizza. The Nachos pizza and the Butter Chicken pizza are definitely worth a try!

I really like this branch and where its situated. Also has a nice upstairs section overlooking the Piazza. The menu has changed over time, and always some really good options. Most recent visit was a simple quick order.Delicious focaccia and a Cosmopolitan to wash it down with. Quick friendly service.

This was the worst experience ever from all the CC restaurants Ive eaten at.I ordered my usual margherita pizza with chilli and when it came it looked fine but when I taster it, it was like eating dough.Perhaps it was their off day, but one things for sure , I wont go back there again, which is unfortunate because the position of the restaurant is nice and relaxing.Lastly, that straw like thingy ? Thats the most unhygienic way to serve a straw replacement, I mean anyone can put their dirty hands on them. Absolutely disgusting.

Shake-up needed. Tuesday evening. Not many people. Waiters all over but no service.! What gives guys. It’s not difficult. When people arrive please acknowledge them, greet, take a first drinks order and so we get on with enjoying the evening. Why the need to lecture a waiter first then the service improves. Not a squeak from the manager. Food was good, convenient location and eventually service improved. Mr Owner, your staff need your help.

The food was subpar, tasteless toppings. I covered my pizza with tobasco ,salt and pepper. Plus side , could not fault the waiter and its located perfectly.

Less than impressed-Gavin was the only good thing about the place-he really tried to be accommodating.Bad service, poor attempt at food.Pizza was soggy, pasta bland. Starters were badly presented and like eating wet cardboard. Menus changed, disorganized lack of attention and barely warm food. No music , trouble with Card machine, no availability on lots of popular drinks(Hunters Gold, Lupini??)-take always appeared with half of what was left on the plate! Disgusted at the lack cleanliness & one has to walk past the open kitchen door?No bathroom onsite?Spend you money elsewhere!Wouldn’t recommend this at all and definitely going elsewhere next week with our next function!Update:also the deserts were very poor-shoved at us on a plate while staff packed up, huffing and puffing....checked with all who attended and collectively agreed it was a disaster.

The food is horrible, worst mashed potatoes Ive ever tasted and the smallest lamb shank Ive ever seen. The food is just not worth the price.Maybe their specialties are better tasting but I guess I will never know.

Not a typical ColCacchio fine experience. Slow service, cold food, and dissatisfaction. At least the Manager stepped in to rescue the evening, so we were in a better mood as we left. And good cappuccino made it better. Think the waiters need training....Had further engagement with a very apologetic Management, who said the matter was receiving urgent attention, so things will likely improve, I intend returning when possible. Please feel free to try them out ...

Ordered food on UberEATS for pickup - Food was fine. However, service was really unprofessional, unhelpful and unfriendly at pickup. The order wasn’t labelled or packed, so nobody was sure where my order was, and when asked for assistance the waiter just started opening up all the pizza boxes at the pass, which is not something I was comfortable with during COVID. Food was good but service of waiting staff was really poor.

Today we went to CC Monte Casino... There were about 17 of us and we checked with Dumie if he could assist with a table and extend for us. He was a pro from setting It up moving us before it started raining to checking in with us to taking adhoc orders to getting the waiters involved to making sure my granny and all of us were comfortable too. All this while managing the restaurant while it was about to rain outside to move others in... Great manager. Keep it up.

Great branch of ColCacchio. Staff were very friendly and they were happy to accommodate our group of 30. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is peaceful. Great place for lunch and dinner. I recommend them highly.

Our vegan friend thoroughly enjoyed the options available on the menu to build his own dish. However there was no non-dairy coffee option. The basic pizza was great and the chicken had a tasty sauce. Pricing also reasonable and on a balmy summer evening the outdoor area was heaven

Visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday night with the family. Their pizzas are to die for!!! And the staff deserve a special mention because we had an amazing waitress (Hlengiwe, I still remember her name)...such great manners and etiquette, so friendly and amusing! With a wide variety of restaurants to choose from at Montecasino we chose Col’Cacchio. We enjoyed some freshly prepared cocktails and pizzas and pastas.Food was deliciously prepared!Unfortunately the service wasn’t very good, we’ve waited several times to get our waiter’s attention to place our orders. Col’Cacchio is overall overpriced with their food.

Terrible service! Waiter gave our drinks and disappeared. Waited so long for our food. When our waiter eventually showed up with our food it was ice cold (2x pizzas and lasagna). Not impressed!

We had a birthday event last night 27/02/2019 and the service was so poor the waiter could not manage on his own the rest of the waiters did not bother the assist the waiter was told on more than one occasion on instruction and still did not manage we ended up just leafing some orders as it did not came to pass. We had two birthday people at the table and the waiter only knowledge one person we had to speak to to the staff x3 times no manager any where to be seen or introduced the whole evening.The waiter was rude and just could not manage the table of 14 people it was shocking.

Great overall experience went there with a group of friends last week Saturday only issue is I think my credit card might’ve been left there , a gold FNB card

Very bland food. Didnt have sweet potatoes in stock and failed to tell us this when we ordered a meal that was centered around sweet potatoes. Then proceeded to substitute it with the most awful spaghetti and meatballs.Cocktails were gross. I sent my frozen margarita back, didnt mind paying for it, but I wasnt going to drink it.All in all not a great experience. Wont be going back.

Worst experience.On the 8th December 2019 went to colcacchio in monte casinso for my sons birthday.We were seated and waited 1 and half hours to get our starters and we did not receive our starters or main course.then we asked to give us the bill for the drinks and get billed for the food we never received.everyone that came after us got served before us.the manager didnt have anything to say not even a sorry.will never refer any family or friends to this restaurant

I shall not return. We requested water with lemon. It didnt arrive. Only after a reminder did they bring it but without the lemon. They refused to give me the WiFi password claiming that it is not working. I believe that to be a lie. The signal was strong. The manager came but seemed disinterested. I offered him my card so that he could tell management/owners and report back to me. He ignored me. The pizza arrived quickly. Too quickly. It was cold. I believe that they pre-cook the base (urrrgh) and simply heat the toppings as ordered. Mediocre quality. We received cutlery but only one serviette. Standard practice is that every table receives a plate with three bowls. Garlic, chilli & parmesan. We didnt get that. The coffee was cold. Shocking experience. Now I also know what the name means. Poor choice. Finito.

Really nice menu with gluten free and low carb meal options. Unfortunately my sisters meal was a complete mess. She ordered the lasagne and it was served cold in the centre. We were really surprised to hear that they make a large tray of lasagne and just heat up portions when it’s ordered. I go to a restaurant expecting fresh food so that just seems gross. The lasagne was also 90% pasta & 10% meat. We ended up sending it back and she just got a pizza, obviously by this point everyone else had finished eating so it really took the fun out of enjoying a meal with your family. The toblerone cocktail was delicious though!

The food and the scenery is amazing, the service however is not that great. I would definitiley go back but they need to train their staff better.

Service is terrible at both of then inside and out. The food portions are shocking and with very little effort. The waiter we had this time was like a scatter brain who had no idea what his job was. Ill certainly not be going to eat there at either of them again.

Total rip off!, service sucks!. Quality of the food is not good. The kiddies meal that was ordered from the menu was totally different to what we received. Well spend our money elsewhere in future.

Had my husbands birthday lunch on the 18th March at col Cachio montecasino. From beginning to end it was horrendous. Service was slow, pathetic. Dirty glasses were brought to our table, dirty cutlery. Both the make and female waiters were hopeless. The male was so slow. We ordered the kids meals as soon as sat down. Took 45 minutes to arrive. It arrived cold. We ordered a plate of chips to be told we had to order from next door even though it was one store. We were a table of 21. The rest of our mains arrived in dribs and drabs. One of my guests got her pizza when we were all done as her pizza was taken to another table. The waiter had placed 3 orders incorrectly but we ate it anyway as we were so starved by that time. The tomato sauce brought our table was of. Tasted off. We didnt get any serviettes. We never had even a manager come to ask how was our meal. If we needed anything. Our bill came to R3500. The waiter billed R35000 through to my card. I can guarantee that none of the 22 guests that arrived will be going back.
