Best of the lot in Sandton. Quality of equipment and the space exceeds that of their other standard clubs and competes keenly with their platinum clubs.

The gym is well stocked, layout is good and staff are friendly. Only gripe is their archaic Membership and subscription services. If they change to month-to-month Ill consider joining.

Really cool gym, kinda small but it accommodates for 50 people due to the pandemic. The classes are great too.

Nice, especially the body fat weigh is nice, it gives me a specific figure of my body status.

Planet Fitness Morningside is a conducive place to gain your fitness. They have a dedicated team to assist you. Their equipments are world class and they have specific fun classes that you can attend to boost your fitness level

Nice gym with modern equipment.I particularly like the walking machines that feature simulated videos of walking in various scenic routes. Makes the walking/running a bit less boring. 😀

Neat and new machines . Needs a pool , a working scale and a Kauai tho urgently.

They lock you in a 2 year contract and when you try to cancel, the cancellation fee is 95% of the remainder of the contract. Will definitely not be returning once my contract is done.

Nothing better than a good session. With their aircon and state of the art machines, one can truly enjoy a pump session.

I must say after having seen a whole range of gyms, the weight section here is amazing! Great range of machines and benches available.

I would strongly advise people to not sign up to this gym. They give you erroneous and misleading information in order for you to sign up and by the end of the contract will come up with nonsensical information charging you more money.

Best place to workout during covid, every machine has a sanitizer and the staff are very friendly

Quite quiet at about 09:30 - 11:00.Santizers at almost every station.Did see a couple members not wearing masks while working out though.Or using the santizers to clean their machine before or after use.Otherwise all other Rules adhered to like used weights and mats placed in the designated zone for cleaning. Every other stationary bike unavailable to use.Stretch area limited number of people.

This Planet Fitness, although its a signature one, is really small. I preferred the older Rivonia one as it was like 4 times the size. Due to its size its rather limited and always packed

Best Planet Fitness Club.....No Contention

More than two years ago, we joined Planet Fitness Craighall. We only wanted a year contract, and they said, its fine, just sign here, and its all sorted. Great, everythings great, until we wanted to cancel after a year. They said no, its a two year contract. Very unhappy, but okay, we pay for another year. Our two year contract ended in June 2020. So mid June, Planet Fitness Gave us a call. Would we like to renew our contract for another two years, We clearly said NO! We do not wish to renew our contract. So yesterday, we found out that Planet Fitness has deducted almost a R1000 a month, and this month almost R2000. I mean, what is so difficult to understand that we do not wish to renew our contract? The Branch we joined is closed permanently... So now Id like to know, when are you going to pay back the money that you basically stole from us? Or do I need to name and shame you all over the internet?

Useless to say the least. Because of COVID-19 pandemic Planet Fitness extended my contract without consulting me as a Client.They keep on deducting my account although I have gave them notice long before COVID-19 even existed. This company is criminals and I will suggest everyone to Gym elsewhere. I personally know of at least 20 Customers struggling with the same issue for years.Planet Fitness soft block all premiums over this Lockdown period. Yet again they did not consult their clients. They just decided to do so. And then conveniently extended the contracts of their Clients. This is agains the Law to do this. I will take this matter up with Garte Blanch to investigate.The Time has come for them to be exposed.

I was pleasantly surprised with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff at this gym. The front staff were warm and the sales consultant helped me to sign a membership here with no fuss. I came in for a free week and enjoyed my time at the gym which is why I signed up to be a member. The Sales Consultant took me for a tour of the gym, and was very understanding and helpful in signing up. Its a modern, clean gym which has great facilities and classes.

Be careful, 2 incidents of car break-ins this week. I parked my car just outside the entrance and was still broken into. One security guard that just sits on the wall towards the back, no outside cameras or lights at night.Management needs to address this issue ASAP.

I have to say I one thing I really appreciate. Was when I went in. I was introduced to Kayn. One of the sales guys. Hes really helpful he sorted everything out and was very thorough on the contract with me so I understood everything and he really was super helpful. Even the staff in the front are really helpful. And the gym itself is really nice. 👌 well worth it. Also they have lockers where you dont need to bring a lock. Its really convenient.

1 star is more than what they deserve. Auto renewed my contract though my visa had expired even. harassed me by sending my number to recovery agents finally had to pay over 6 grand to avoid them. managers with no authority and sales person.. be careful they will make you sign everything before you know.

They really stepped up there game on this gym with beautiful facilities and an amazing location. Better then any virgin Ive been to. My only problems were That there is no pool nor is there a track. I thought the track was something found in all planet fitnesses and is great if youre a runner but unfortunately there isnt one. I did contact them as to whether or not on would be put in but it didnt seem like that was going to happen(pool and track)

Been here over a couple of months.The equipment is top notch quality, looking at the welding as an engineer, it is done well.Wide range of equipment to choose from and the gym is 2 floors.There is no track to run on but plenty of equipment to run on though. Classes and spin classes.

Beautiful gym but small.Considering I’m paying the same fees and the gym was downgraded from 3x the space with an indoor pool and a track in Rivonia, I feel a bit hard done by. However, the new location has beautiful views from the cardio section and the equipment is first class. The Life Fitness equipment integrates through an app to track one’s progress and one can compete with others internationally. Lots of fun!That being said, when it’s busy it’s difficult to work out without almost bumping into people and waiting for equipment - one can literally be elbowed accidentally. I’ve had mats and benches I’m using ‘disappear’ while I’m working out. If you can get there early, do so as it’ll result in a less interrupted workout.Staff are friendly and the protein shakes are delicious.

Love this gym although its not that big the equipments are more than enough and the staff are super friendly. Its always clean as well

Make sure if you join you’re in it for life because it’s near impossible to cancel a contract with them. Even though I gave them written notice I did not receive any reply back about a cancellation fee or any acknowledgment whatsoever and then months later they send a debt collector to find me saying that I owe them tons of money for arrears and legal costs. Plus they use the most incompetent debt collectors on the planet. Check HelloPeter for Saya Recoveries .. there are others who have had the same issue with cancelling contracts and dealing with this debt collector. If you absolutely must sign a contract with planet fitness and ever decide to cancel make sure you get a proof of cancellation in writing.... hopefully in your case someone will respond to your mails or phone calls. Oh and don’t bother trying to cancel it in the branch itself with a real live human... they will just refer you to some system or phone number to call.

I had an awful experience at the Claremont branch a few years back but this gym is awesome. Friendly staff, modern equipment, group classes and super clean. Only downside is the gym is quite small, there’s no pool and the air con is on quite low in the cardio section.

I enjoy this planet fitness especially if Im aiming to get a quick cardio or quick lifting session in. Variety of isolation exercise equipment available I do feel studio is a bit small compared to others but it serves its purpose.

I am a member of planet fitness in the wedge shopping centre morningside. It is an all round good facility with very helpful and warm staff in a relaxed friendly environment. They have all the circuit equipment which you need downstairs and on the first level there are all the exercise machines from treadmills to exercise bikes and all the other machines which exercise technology offers. These machines offer interactive programmes or you can watch sporting or news channels while you exercise. There is also a very nice spinning room for indoor cycling if you are an avid cyclist. What I really enjoy the most are the classes which they have on offer in their studio at various times of the day. You can do pilates, yoga, piloxing- a combination of pilates and boxing, step and bootcamp. All very challenging classes, great for toning and fitness. So if exercising through a form of dance is for you rather than exercising on machines, then this is for you. I pay R599 per month and can make use of all facilities. But for an extra R150 you can get a tag which allows you to bring someone to gym with you when you visit. This tag system works well for my husband who travels out of the country 5 months a year. So when he is here, he tags along. Worth it.

Its a good gym equipment is new however the gym is quite small and that means try train at non peak times.

Exceptional service from Keyn and a wonderful personalised tour.Overall, I am very impressed with the club. It offers fantastic, technology enabled equipment that tracks your routines via an app.There is ample space for training and classes which include Crossfit.There is a nice chill lounge with smoothie bar and free Wi-Fi. They also have back up power supply for load shedding periods.All in all, I highly recommend this location.
