The food is fresh and good value for money. The dim sum snacks,however are much smaller and not as coarse and tasty as traditional Chinese ones.Service was very good.

Fantastic authentic Chinese food! Not like the normal commercial takeaway type of food, but the proper recipes.This is where the local Chinese people go to have food or for their birthday celebrations.We had a private room with a lazy susan in the middle of the table that could rotate for us to share dishes.Everything we ordered was superb. We had 12 different dishes that we shared amongst everyone. The food was more than enough for all to eat their fill.U will definitely return here again!

This is one of my absolute favourite Chinese restaurants. Very wide selection of food. The dumplings and the bamboo with black mushrooms are awesome.

They deliver absolutely INCORRECT vs the order you place.Then come up with every nonsense explanation- but never taking responsibility that the fault lies with them. Futher to this they offer NO REFUND wrt their incompetence. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant. They do not operate within the ambits of integrity!

Had take away and was kindly accommodated by the owner even after arriving 5 minutes before they were closing. Generous food portions that are reasonably priced.

The sweet and sour pork was mainly a whole lot of rice with a hint of pork. That I can look past because quantities are subjective.However cant look past that I ordered chicken spring roll and discovered later on it was vegetable, these kinds of mistakes tell me you dont care enough to be thorough with customer orders.It was not a busy day there were only 2 of us waiting to be served, not good enough in my opinion. Wont be going back there.

Authentic chinese cuisine with great customer service

For my wifes birthday, a REAL Chinese dinner (or banquet), served the way they do in China. We even had a Chinese friend with to confirm the authenticity.As could be expected the food from their extensive menu was excellent. The service quick and friendly, and all this at a remarkably reasonable price per head.Highly recommended.

Lovely looking restaurant and you get received at the door very nicely. The food is good, however for example my cripsy pork was 80% rice 10% veggies and 10% pork.Feels like they try to fill you with all the rice. Would love to see a little better ratio between rice and the actual food I was going there to get.

We had a awful meal at this restaurant. I had grilled duck @ R168, more bone than meat, my wife had simple sweet and sour pork. It was prepared the day before and heated on a microwave, tough as pork can get! We disappointed. I spoke to the owners daughter at the front desk and she seemed mildly interested only. Will never go back, even the egg fried rice was old and dry.

Bad food

Myself and my girlfriend decided to try something new and were very disappointed with the food. I ordered crispy beef and it was more batter than beef to be honest. The service was ok at best. An additional down fall is that their prices are steep for the portion size offered.

We had a table of 8 for a friend’s birthday. The food was delicious and authentic! There wasn’t a long wait between ordering and getting the food- which is very rare. The decor is simple, and it’s in a lovely setting.

My partner and I ordered the sweet and sour chicken dishes. We were highly disappointed with what we recieved. The take away container was filled with rice and drenched in sauce. There was almost no pieces of chicken and the pieces we could find were dry and tasteless. We certainly wont be ordering from them again.

Kind of pricey considering that you have to purchase the rice or noodles separately to go with the main course. Im use to getting rice with the meat, not just a plate of meat alone. Food was good and so was the service.

The Fried rice dishes are delicious and the noodles are very nice too. The vegan (avo and cucumber) sushi is something to try too!

Food took 45 minutes to prepare, an extra 25 minutes than the normal 20minute. After the long wait, the food was quite disappointing, very bland and tasteless. Wont be going back there.

We ordered take out from Kong Tai restaurant and were awfully disappointed! Each container was full of rice and just a little bit of the ordered dish on top. The pork was old and completely dry. Even the egg fried rice had no taste at all. First and last time for us there!!
