Value for money & super fresh! We got 36 pieces of salmon sushi, crispy pork ribs & rice & edamame, cream cheese and prawn dim-sum for R495! It was extremely fresh and ready within 20 minutes. Definitely one of my favourites going forward!

Normally I really like this place but yesterday 13 Aug 2021, I phoned ahead to place an order for pick up at 18:20, I arrived to collect my food at 18:45, the food was still not ready, then I waited a further 15 min and only got my food at 19:00, and the worst part about it was that the staff were so unhelpful and in no hurry to to get my food to me, even though I asked a few times and what really irritates me about the situation was it was only 1 order of beef Foo Yong, nothing else, essentially 40 min to cook one dish. Ridiculous

I have just moved to the area and I have been going to golden rose for years but I have never gone to this one since last night(13 September) I saw on maps that there was a golden rose close by so I got excited but what a disappointment.Literally got the scraps of everything, chicken was completely hard and tasteless, avo was going off. Everything tasted as if we were served the scrapes of the day. Staff was just useless, sat and drank something to wait for our order, they never let us know when it was done. We just sat waiting for ages till we asked what was happening and they told us it was ready ages ago.I will definitely never ever go back to them again

Amazing place, great and fast service. The food is fresh!!! Love the chilli soy sauce. Amazing dumplings, a must try is the spinach dumpling for vegetarians!

Golden Rose is the best Chinese restaurant around. And their sushi is fresh. It will take a lot to beat them.

If you are looking for a local susbi spot to grab sushi specials midweek, this is the place to go. Relatively affordable and fresh sushi.

Golden Rose at Cambridge Crossing has been our go to place for sushi for more than 2 years now and we have been mostly satisfied with the quality of the sushi. However, the sushi we had last night was terrible. The rice was old, the meat was old (and skimpy), even the ginger was old, and the sushi was overall tasteless. This is not what we are used to from Golden Rose. I really hope this is not the new standard.EDIT: I reached out to the manager on email and we resolved the issue. The next time we ordered, it was the same top quality sushi that we know Golden Rose for. The rice, meat and ginger was fresh and we really enjoyed it a lot. They really do go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy their food, so always give them feedback if youre not happy with your order.

A lovely little gem in Cambridge Crossing Paulshof. Authentic fresh Chinese, Sushi and small Thai menu. The Sushi is the best, really well priced and fabulous friendly service. This branch is great as its smaller and more intimate than Sunninghill (Chilli Lane), great spot for any occasion.

Wait forever for terrible sushi!! Waited almost an hour to receive the wrong order. Warships instead of Wasabi Fashion Sandwiches, the Sushi Cake does not look anything like the photo on the menu, but is rather rice with mayonnaise slopped on top with what looks like they saved 1 last strawberry for my order. They let me order the sushi cake (strawberry thing) but told me it wasnt on the special (Because that is for Normal sushi - not sure what that is LOL) which was fine but when I queried this I was told they dont make it on a Monday. Maybe thats why I got the last strawberry LOL. Not worth the wait, not worth the money, and certainly not worth changing from your regular sushi spot.

I am so disappointed in the sushi we received this evening. We often come here and the last two visits have both been less than satisfying. The picture below is the excuse for a piece of salmon which I received on my Fashion sandwich. The salmon platter consisted of tiny slithers of salmon.The sushi was falling to pieces too. What a pity as this restaurant is right around the corner from us.

Went to Golden Rose on Saturday night for a cheeky little date night and was very impressed. The Sushi was delicious - the best I have had for a while, and the service was wonderful. It really was a lovely evening.

Messed up our entire order. Incorrect description on the boxes. Therefore I never had my prawns, it went to our nanny whom wanted chicken. Also paid additional cost for fried rice and noodles and got steamed rice. The manager continuously interrupted the person taking our order, not a good experience at all. The food is not bad, but good luck getting what you ordered and paid for.

Get told they can do a specific sushi order before sitting down,order the sushi,get told no,now suddenly cant do it,even after specifically asking to not be unreasonable

I complained about a dish i was unsatisfied with. I got a call from the manager, a very polite apology and my next meal free. They even called me back to come and collect a free meal. So now i inspect my meal before i walk away.

I ordered food and the Sushi looked BAD! Enjoyed the Phad Thai but inconsistent discoloration on the Salmon really put me off!
