Man! This food is incredible.We are the fried prawns, and sweet and sour chicken. Bystanders came in to order the same because it smelled so good! I’d also recommend getting the iced tea with a moon & a monkey on. That was the best iced tea I ever had.We sat at the table outside and there are two more tables inside. It’s lovely there.

The restaurant is tucked away in a market place just off the main road(Jan Smuts). Its well lit, clean and the staff are friendly. On the other hand, the food, although having a very strong fragrance, unfortunately did not have much flavour and was quiet bland. Maybe it was my prepared dish on the day but the restaurant is popular with locals. The price of the food is in line with other Chinese restaurants (R70-R100).

Nah, not happy. Ordered chow mein last night - could have just used noodles, bits of limp lettuce and meat slivers. Pity, perfect location for me 2 b a regular.

May not have the best sit down atmosphere and parking is difficult at times but the Yung Chen noodles with some extra chilli is amazing!

Simple menu in a quaint setting off Jan Smuts avenue. The food is fantastic and enjoyed by loyal customers who have kept going back for many years. Take out is most popular but we love sitting out on a lovely afternoon or evening. They do not serve alcohol but we are always welcome to bring our own wine.

This is our go-to local chinese takeaway. The quality varies a bit from time to time, but generally the meals are of a good quality. Value for money is good. Give them a try if you are in the area. Our favs are sweet and sour pork, black bean beef / chicken and crispy chicken.

Best chinese noodles

Yung Chen is delicious. Kung fu kitchen really has nothing on the quality of food which is produced out of this kitchen.I recently ordered an array of food off of their menu and each item was well cooked, not overly cooked like a squash ball. The flavours of the food are also brilliant.Do yourself a favour and give it a try!

This evening i bought crispy and curry meal , i was totally satisfied with the service the only thing that disappointed me was the curry meal because it tasted old and had a little bit of sticky soup in it. Another thing was the crispy i coulndnt even taste the beef because there was alot of that chutney sauce. I am very disappointed as it was my first experience with Yung Chen restaurant .☹
