The place is definitely nice and their food is delicious. Definitely a place to come to on a budget.Sadly though their service is slow! It took them a long time to bring out our orders, including a glass of water!!!

Delicious food, great atmosphere and fantastic staff. The venue is vastly improved by the recent addition of soundproofing on the walls and roof. Some of my favourite dishes are the salmon tacos, the fried tofu and the baos. Don’t forget to bring your own alcohol- there is no corkage fee!

Great food.Waitress was very helpful in recommending what to try. Food was a bit cold and quite sweet. Looking forward to try the more spicy dishes. Restaurant does not sell alcohol however allows you to bring your own, at no additional cost. If you’re not an alcohol drinker, their ginger drink is amazing!

The food was really delicious, ordered the beef potstickers, colonel Bao and the yaki soba. Service was slow and inadequate despite not having many customers.

Momo Baohaus was an absolute delight, the food was authentic and fresh. A great place for halal Korean cuisine as not many restaurants cater halaal Asian food. The yaki soba, chicken was absolutely tender, with a great balance of flavour, add a little chili oil and it really lifts the dish. Colonel boa was super crunch with a seriously soft wrap. The gyoza pot sticker was a win for me, incredibly juicy and delectable. The Turkish delight lemonade was a great twist to the traditional pink lemonade but it was really sweet. Great service, amazing food and super chilled atmosphere

The service isn’t so great. The waiter hardly checked on me. The sushi is fresh, but it was drenched in Sriracha sauce. The 3 stars is for the sushi.

A place I go back to time and again. Nothing beats their Baus. Seriously. They are addictive. Also a relatively cheap night out as you bring your own booze. Great food, good vibe. What more could you want.

What a lovely fresh and tasty meal! We started with the FIRECRACKER PRAWNS, because we read a good review and yes it was a winner!! Delicate flavours. Our 2nd starter was the PRAWN SPRINGROLLS, and they did not disappoint.Our mains were the highlight- we both chose a bowl, the Bangock was a delicious basiland beef and the S a tasty teriyaki beef. We chose the noodles, as who wants rice, when you can have authentic Asian noodles?The service was excellent and always with a smile. We will def go back!!!!

The food and atmosphere was great. I had a Seoul bowl, the ingredients were fresh and crisp, it also had a nice bite of spice. My only complaint is the dessert, I had the Dark chocolate matcha tart, unfortunately they were out of pistachio ice cream so they replaced it whith white chocolate ice cream, which was divine - the tart itself? Not so much.Would definitely recommend sans the tart.

One of my favourite eateries!We decided to have just tapas as our meal and as usual, everything was satisfying though most of the warm food arrived lukewarm and became cold quickly.The twice cooked beef ribs, Korean fried chicken wings, sushi rolls and prawn spring rolls (though I much rather prefer the veg option) were our choices at last weeks outing.Our other all time favourites include the Crispy Calamari, Colonel Bao and Tokyo Bowl.It gets rather noisy but fortunately we sat on the quieter side of the wall! Would be great if they could heat the place a bit so that thick jackets may be removed prior to eating.

We thoroughly enjoy the food at Momo Baohaus. We have tried a number of items on the menu and have never been disappointed. The Momo bowls are delicious, the teas are refreshing and I highly recommend the popcorn tea. When the puddings are available they are wonderful too and we are only sad when we cannot have pudding. Love eating here! You can bring your own alcohol when that is allowed as they do not serve alcohol.

The food was.... AMAZING. 10 stars!!! We ordered a selection of starters and mains and shared everything and each dish was a flavour extravaganza :D The restaurant is not licensed but you may bring your own booze. The decor is quite austere and the place was quite empty, it being a Monday night, so the atmosphere felt a bit cold upon arrival, but as soon as the food started arriving, the lack of ambience was long forgotten. Definitely go there now.

Great food.. So many flavours packed into one bite, can recommend this for anyone who likes food. Cafe style interior with a nice vibe and you can take your own wine at no charge. Vegan and vegetarian friendly.

Slightly slow on the service but overall this place is a VIBE. Love the decor. The food is great. Music is really nice. Would definitely come here again. Price for the portion is reasonable. The dumplings are awesome. Thin skin and very generous filling. The filling is also flavourful with a twist. Fantastic presentation. Pity that the sushi menu is closed from 3 30 until 5 30 but everything else is really nice. Really wanted to try it out. Will definitely come to this place again. A bit nicer to come in person that using just Ubereats.

If you’re very hungry don’t go here.It is actually ridiculous how overworked the staff is! Management really needs to get their act together. We waited for 45 min after calling in an order 30 minutes before.I don’t blame your staff, they were so stressed! Do better 🙄

Such an amazing restaurant, food was delicious with all sorts of traditional dishes. Drinks such as homemade ice tea were really good. Portions and prices for the meals were excellent. The sushi is out of this world! Overall an excellent experience for food.

It was my first time ordering here and I loved it! We ordered the Colonel Bao and the Lucky Bao. The chicken on the Colonel Bao was dark meat and had a piece of cartilage in it, which was slightly disappointing as I was expecting a fried chicken breast, but the flavours definitely made up for it! The brisket was a little tough, but other than that, delicious! Beautifully presented too. I cant wait to come back and try out their other meals

The food is exceptional and super tasty! Alas, some dishes on the menu are either not available or take 2 hours to prepare. Not on! This said, Momo Baohaus will definitely see us again simply because of its great food!

This place is definitely one of the gems of Linden. The buns, bowls and sushi are all amazing. Be careful though, when they say hot they mean hot. The atmosphere and service is really good as well. There is a limited number of seating but they are busy expanding into the store next door.For me the highlight was the bowls. I will definitely be frequenting this restaurant more often. You will need to make a booking as it gets quite busy. There is no alcohol sold at the restaurant but customers are allowed to bring in their own liquor.

The food, the vibe and the team makes it my new favourite spot in town. The flavours take you on a journey that you wont forget. Leave the plane tickets and just take a drive to this gem. Try the pot stickers, boas and noodles. And dont laugh when someone dives into their handbag and takes out their water from home, you are allowed to bring your own drinks.

Had a great lunch here. The starters we ordered were all incredibly delicious and paved the way for the mains which were presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Their prices are reasonable and you really get what you pay for. Our waitress was amazing and attended to us attentively. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Amazing Bao. Had the crispy chicken and the Baohaus special. Both delicious. Probably some of the better boas I ever had.

Food is superb, especially all their tapas dishes. I live the twice cooked ribs, wings and calamari. Their baos are good, I like the chicken one the best - it has a good crispy skin on the chicken and a great taste. I haven’t tried any of their noodle dishes. I would highly recommend this place for the tapas alone, in fact a full meal can be made with just the tapas on offer.

Some really different (but great) takes on traditional Chinese and Asian dishes. Your taste buds wont be disappointed! Only the wanton left me a little unimpressed.Momo Bauhaus has decent portions, especially with the tapas dishes, so even the really hungry will come away with a smile

Friendly staff. Good food but lost its spicy touch.

The first in the Momo chain but the last for me to visit... definitely the same high standard as the rest. We had the Firecracker Prawns for starters which were delicious, and I had the Szechuan Bowl for mains which I thought was a bit too drenched in the spicy sauce, but it wasn’t bad overall. The venue seems a lot smaller than the others but keeps the same vibe going.

Some of the best Asian food in Joburg! My favourites include the prawn bao, Korean wings and twice cooked beef short ribs. No alcohol is served, but you can BYOB and theres no corkage charges! My only gripe is that dessert is a non feature, sad but true.

Made a booking and on arrival my name was not on the list. We were seated in the most uncomfortable place at the restaurant. Two sat on chairs and my hubby and I sat on a cemented bench with no cushions. Was the worse seating at any restaurant I have been to.No alcohol served here however there is a variety of soft drinks.Tried a few starters which were good. Edamame beans was not as flavorful compared to other places.Had Various Bao - which I’m not going to rave about as I was expecting much more flavour with a bit more sauce in this soft bun.We enjoyed the pistachio ice cream served with the dark chocolate rare.

Whether on Uber Eats, or in store, an incredible selection of flavourful and tasty food, the best spot to be in a cold winters day. A staple part of a Good Food of Joburg diet. Great spot to sit for a while or to meet with people with particular focus on design.

Its a quaint and quiet little shop that feels quite artisanal. The food is really good but when we were there as a group, the order did take a while to be made. Well worth it and it will probably be much better with a smaller group.

Interesting flavours with a lot of meat options. A little limited in vegetarian options across the dishes. We ordered Sechuan bowls and oolong tea. Had a great time. However the service was a bit slow, and we did have to reorder the tea after not receiving it first time around.

Despite the waitron who greeted us assuring he would look after us, the service didnt exist. We watched people walk in, stand around, and after a few minutes walk out.It was also during Ubers BOGO week so it was like the restaurant was full, but it wasnt.No leadership, food was ok, nothing more, nothing less, it has been better. Unfortunately the proprietors have neglected the business and it shows.

Loved the vibe and the staff were brilliant! Food was really great, except for pot stickers which could have done with more flavor and seasoning. Seafood Baohaus was brilliant and the deep fried bun with sweet milk was a massive hit with all of us - ended up ordering again and again and again.

Momo Baohaus is a great spot to enjoy Asian food. The Buns, Bowls, and Sushi are delicious and the Buns are highly recommend. Friendly staff greeted us and our drinks orders were taken promptly. (Note that they do not sell alcohol, however youre welcome to bring your own, and theres no corkage).

The food, as with most momos is very good. This momo is bigger than others, and is louder due to more customers. My experience felt like I was at wimpy.

I ordered a simple bao for delivery through Uber eats. The restaurant kept the poor Uber driver waiting for over an hour. They then gave him the completely incorrect order! I will never again order from this restaurant! Because of their inefficiency, my daughter did not get dinner as by the time the wrong order arrived, it was too late to order anything else before curfew! Very unimpressed!!

Ahhhh love this restaurant felt like I was in a Anime for a bit🤣.Ahhh just going to go straight into it I really enjoyed my meal here. Had the Shanghai dish and I honestly think its the best😁😁😁. Did you know that you can bring your own drinks to the restaurant at no extra cost,well now you do😁. They also have the latest POS terminals which allowed me to pay with my watch ,(our waiter Shylene was so shocked when she saw this🤣🤣). .Service was great and quick too.Overall 11/10 🤷🏾‍♂️ come at me🤣🤣
