What a cool hidden spot. If youve read most of my reviews, youll see Im into breakfast. This place didnt disappoint at all. I had the French Toasted Banana Bread with peanut butter, weird concept but it works. My husband had lamb meatballs which were also divine. This is the place to go when youre in Pretoria and need good food and service. Wonderful🎊

Went for brunch and the service was amazing. The food, the drinks ? Definitely worth it. The prices aren’t even that bad. Definitely recommend to go when wanting to have a chilled morning/early day vibe.

Would def recommend for a coffee date. The tiramisu baked cheesecake was amazing and the melktert latte was sooo good!Food on the other hand I can only comment on one thing as our one breakfast they didnt have (should have told us before we ordered).The other one (Turkish Kofta) while good, was a tad over spiced and the flatbread was thin and very hard to eat. My suggestion would be something more like a naan to mop up all that yummy sauce and a lighter hand with the chilli and cumin.Overall a good experience and we will def be back!

Opted to go for lunch at Khaleo. The place is quite popular and it was buzzing with people. Started with a lovely strong cappuccino (good strong coffee). The menu is a cafe cuisine so you won’t find a big steak served there. Our orders were sourdough open sandwiches and a serving of asian infused pork belly (served with pickled eggs and fine noodles). Good tasting food but the meals are a bit small for liking.

If you’re in the mood for something completely different than a normal bacon and egg breakfast, then this place is for you. The good is really different and very good!! I was amazed at the price as well , super affordable! Try the banana bread, absolutely amazing. Will definitely go back.

We went for breakfast and had an great experience. Ive heard it can get busy but it was very laidback and relaxed for us (maybe because we went there on a public holiday). The food is good and they have a few unique items which will be worth returning for. I had pap with pulled BBQ beef, basil pesto and Rosa tomatoes ... it was delicious. If youre after a slice of cake and coffee remember that they have a weekend special! Thank you!

We were driving though Waterkloof, and Decided to stop here for a breakfast and what a hidden gem it is! It is a pitty about the location, as it is hidden. The food is of outstanding quality, coffee is really good with the different options they make it. Service is on point, never seem to be in your face. Real quaint spot, I don’t think they get enough credit. Reminds me of a small place one would go to in Cape Town or New York!

What a wonderful surprise: we found this gem hidden away from street traffic in a very upmarket location, serving the best breakfast and coffee imaginable. The waiters are attentive to your every need and the owner came by to introduce himself. The food was divine. I would definitely recommend Khaleo for those leisurely Sunday morning brunches where you just sit down and talk for hours.

Looking for a new trendy and contemporary restaurant to try out? Khaleo – the Club caterered to all my culinary wants and needs, serving breakfast, lunch and confectionary. It is situated conveniently in The Club Centre with secured parking and free wi-fi. The interior of the restaurant is strikingly beautiful and creates a tranquil enviroment ideal for a quick catch-up with a friend or a space to get some work done. My friend and I popped in for a quick coffee. The coffee is exceptional and upon enquiry the owner explained that they create their very own blend from their own roastery. After perusing the menu, I decided to try the curry chicken mayo on rye with dried apricots and coriander. It was served with a burnt lemon wedge, which took the already delicious taste combination to the next level creating a jummy gooey syrup that complimented and rounded off the dish. I can highly recommend this dish, but there are so many other delicious breakfast and lunch options to choose from. I cant wait to try the cherry and white chocolate baked cheesecake on my I next visit.

What a gem!This small cosy restaurant is ideal for an alternative lunch, or for great coffee.The menu is small - it is mostly consisted of alternative meals. I had the Sirloin strip with Japanese mustard sandwich and my wife had the Asian noodle bowl with chicken breast. Both of these meals were divine. Fairly priced and a good portion size.We also shared a slice of cheesecake - specifically the Avo and White chocolate cheesecake. This was an amazingly light dessert!The coffee is also very well made. We had a normal cappuccino and a dirty chai latte.Would definitely recommend this place!

The one star is for the food - not good, but ok. We made the booking based on the menu on their website. When we got there, a completely different menu was presented. Not what we were anticipating. The service was terrible. We waited really long to be served and the place was at that stage not busy at all. We ordered smoothies and was very disappointed when the waitress brought a small bottle of Sir Juice and a glass. Im still waiting for the pineapple and banana to show up on my taste buds. We had to ask for our bill three times. When we called for a manager, nobody came. We had to ask three times to see a manager. At last a woman less than 2 meters away slowly got up and came to our table. She was quick to tell us that she is off duty and that the other manager was not available. She refused to give us any contact information in order for us to reach the owner or the manager. She was rude and told us we can bring on any legal action we want, when we brought up the Consumers Act. She said that we threatened her, which was not the case at all. After a long discussion we realised that the man sitting at the next table was in fact the owner himself and he could not be bothered at all. He did not even attempt to come and find out what the problem was. Khaleo is not on our list for a second visit, nor for any recommendations to our friends.

Good food, nice atmosphere and the fountain next door is a breath of fresh air. Really nice place to just take a break from everything.

Khaleo was wonderful!! Sourdough bread with greens, avo, bits of bacon and poached eggs, with very crisp bacon strips and beetroot. Surprisingly delicious and absolutely beautifully presented. Service was excellent!! Interiors with green plants hanging from the roof calming and like an oasis in a busy city scape. Loved it!!!

Lovely place with great food. The menu is not as extensive as other places but perfect in my opinion. They have a very nice selection of healthier options. I had the French Toast and it was delicious. They are also on the entertainer app which is a bonus for me. There is inside and outside seating and the atmosphere is very cosy and relaxed. I would definitely recommend them.

I highly recommend to my friends that we go there for breakfast. We waited exactly 70min for our food, our waitress didnt check up on us once after serving our coffee and our food was not warm when it was served.I was very disappointed.Other that that, the place really has amazing food! ...70min waiting was just very unpleasant!!!!!!!

Came here to have a breakfast.Had the banana bread French toast - portions were ridiculously small for the price. The staff are extremely slow. Multiple requests were shrugged off until we had to get up to request the manager. The manager was also the chef in the kitchen so when we requested to speak to him we were told we must get up and go to speak to him? This is unprofessional. Our request for the entertainer app was also denied with the manager stating they are no longer using it. We should have been advised prior to sitting down.

We were looking forward to a new coffee shop at The Club and Khaleo looked great with lots of promise. Unfortunately it was a bit disappointing.The menu looks as good as the restaurant does at first glance but the food was about average.There was a few things that really annoyed us. One the plates and table combination does not work, the plates keep moving around especially when you try to cut into the ridiculously hard bread.Also not sure if the decorators really thought about the plastic plants in the ceiling since they will gather dust if not cleaned regularly and they are all over the tables.In summary a nice looking restaurant with average food, rather bad choice in plates and tables with the potential of some really dusty food.

Such a stunning little place. I would truly recommend Kaleo, especially their Chai Latte.

Interior of restaurant is amazing.Pricing is reasonable and fair.Food tasted good. Prestation was disappointing as food was left on the pass for over 10 mins leading to presentation literally melting away.All coffees order was cold. When this was brought to the staffs attention instead of remaking the coffee the cold coffee was heated using the sreamwand of the coffee machine ruining the taste of the coffee. Such a shame. Such an easy problem to fix. However I notice it is not the first comment of this nature for this restaurant.
