Made a booking for our anniversary and arrived to hear that our table had been given to someone else. So we were accommodated at a big table for 6 people. This after I asked the person when I booked to just give us a nice table as I wanted the evening to be special.Our waiter was top notch and she more than made up for the above. My wifes calamari was great and my rump was okay, but it tasted as it had been boiled instead of being on a grill top. Maybe check into that?Besides that, you guys have a great place with great staff and are local.Well be back.

I could not believe the place hidden so close to home. Staff so friendly. Sitting outside close to the pool brought one thought to mind; Go on road trips as often as you want, but stay! This is our place, this is home.

Place looks great inside. Love the atmosphere. I do suggest the management start working on the service. Its slow/non existent. Try sitting inside as sitting outside at the pool area you are forgotten about when your hot beverages keeps arriving cold.

Went here for a milkshake with my daughter. We were pleasantly surprised at the venue. I cant comment on the food but the drinks were great and well priced.Nice relaxing atmosphere, a place we will defenitief visit again.There is secure parking inside and a dedicated car guard outside for when you need to park on the street.It seems like the type of place you can have a really good time at.

We met some friends here for dinner and it was our first visit to Goyas. Its a great place with a wide variety of food reasonably priced.The service from our waiter was also great! Only negative is the lack of lighting at the outside tables at night. Its impossible to read the menu or see the food on your plate... A little more light would be great.

Oh wow, what a lovely gem of a restaurant we found in one of our escapades... Reminds me of a French bistro .. Love the charcoal architecture, the water ponds and the potted plants esp lemon trees..the food was delish too

Awesome place, friendly stuff. And so much variety on the menu. The space is so nice and simple with some nice art pieces and antiques youd forget you in Pretoria. Eating by the pool area is so refreshing.

Airy, modern space with large veranda doors opening up the space. The menu is a bit limited you do not love chicken schnitzel (my companion got a large, tasty portion) or rack of lamb on Sundays. The mushroom steak was a measly few smaller mushrooms - I literally had to order an extra portion of vegetables to make do. Snoek served here was good, served with generous portions of either chips or sweet potato fries.

What can one say about this place..... beautiful place, it feels if your out of the city, relaxing atmosphere and good food and there it stops, the negative side they do not expect CASH, ONLY CARDS be warned, the waiters are slow blaming the kitchen staff for the food that took more than an hour and after receiving your food it was cold, the other negative thing is when we ask the waiter to bring the bill he disappeared (Chum) name of waiter... I later went to the bar area to ask can we pay or was the food on the house, after a 15 min wait again a other waiter help us to pay, will I recommend this place to go NO for the bad service and YES for the food, pity the owner was not there and the young manager was also not of much help

Tucked away off Soutpansberg road in the most beautiful setting is a new eating place. The garden, pool and layout is really beautiful. I previously visited the restaurant and rated it highly.We visited again today, a Saturday when there was a wedding reception in some part of the complex. On my last visit I noted the poor service. Todays service was execrable. It took over 75 minutes to prepare 2 burgers and a ladies steak. The burgers and steak were COLD on arriving at the table. The chips were hot. We had complained twice already about how long it took.The shredded pork burger and beef burger were beautifully presented. But cold burgers are horrible. The steak was nicely cooked but cold. We were SO disappointed. The lack of pleasure was especially bad as the service was even worse than on our last visit.The Earl Grey tea was delivered after 21 minutes WITHOUT ANY SUGAR. it took the intervention of a different waiter to get sugar. Goyas is new. The food is very reasonable/ well priced. The service is awful..

A lovely new restaurant gem in Rietondale. Excellent value for money. Cant believe you get a chicken snitchel for R99,00 (lockdown special).The pizzas with more than enough cheese and woodoven.The environmont is se relaxed. I can make this my new office working in te garden.

Great quality food for the price offered. Lovely restaurant property that creates an “exclusive/getaway” atmosphere. Lovely to see fresh breads being packed out as they are baked.Unfortunately the service however, has been slow both times that we have been here. Chicken kebabs were underdone but the manager readily took them back to prepare a new plate for me which was far better.

I would just like to give Goyas The Hanging Garden Restaurant a huge compliment on their desert I have had the Oreo Choc Brownie Cheesecake and it is the best that I have ever tasted. I would Highly recommend it to anyone who loves desserts.

A beautiful Restaurant in Rietondale! We had a Baby Shower - the prefect venue! The food was delicious, great service and good prices. Had a lovely afternoon and stayed much longer than we planned. Well definately be back on a regular basis. Thank you, Goya!

I love Goyas! Good food, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. If the service is a bit slow, you can just sit back and relax. I can recommend the snoek, it is beautifully served with onion rings, sweet potato rounds and a salad.

I really like this place. And it would have become my regular restaurant. However, the specials changed too often to get my loyalty; and I really dislike it when a restaurant dictates to a customer how to behave. Order 1kg ribs you are not allowed to share. You have to make the customers feel special to maintain loyalty.

Nice venue and decent pricing, however a medium-rare steak was nearly well done and cold. The pizza is average, lacking seasoning, and a doughy base.Not wheelchair friendly, and no bathrooms accessible by wheelchair.

Must say was very disappointed with Mothers day menu. The kebabs arrived totally cold. Sent them back. They then arrived hot but dried out. The ice cream was in one bowl to share with a dribble of chocolate sauce. How can you force patrons to share dessert from one bowl? The only good part of meal was the soup starter. Hence 2 stars instead of 1. Other 3 tables around us also appeared to complain about service. So disappointed. Spoilt mothers day.

Delicious food with amazing vibes!

Nice ambience with friendly staff members and the service was great. The breakfast/brunch menu had bread with most of the dishes. I am not a bread lover so was forced to take lunch instead of the brunch that we went there for. The lunch was fantastic though and I thorougly enjoyed it. Crumbed chicken breast with roasted veggies and two cheese sauces. Will definitely go there again.

We had a very bad experience at Goyas for my mothers 81st bday on 21st September.Poor service...kitchen very slow and poor...some of the food...bad.MANAGEMENT poor!

Nice venue but definitely not wheelchair friendly as advertised. Lights at wheelchair ramp not working and battling to access up/down stairs. Manager/owner laughing when seeing the struggle person in wheelchair has to endure instead of providing assistance. Well priced, however, though waiters were friendly and willing to assist, the kitchen was slow. Pizzas were doughy, lasagne was oily and overcooked, medium done steaks were rather well-done. Definitely not an enjoyable experience

Talk about how to f-up a special reservation for a birthday (mine). Arrive and no table is ready because of the rain people were moved in and assigned table now lost to someone else...waiting 15 minutes finally a small table at door is opened...not the best spot. So the mood is already ruined...the food and service needs to be 110% at this stage. Not really impressed.

Unexpectedly spacious eating areas behind a house in a quiet street. Lots of space for social distancing, high ceilings and tasteful gray decor inside , tables and braai area outside. Waiters helpful, polite, masked and available. We had eisbeins and craft draught beer, reasonably priced and good.

Ordered cappucino with cream, NO cream in stock. Ordered strawberry milkshake, NO strawberry syrup in stock. These are basic stuff a restaurant should have in stock

What a pity... Use to be a fan, but its clear that the standards are slipping. Kitchen way too slow. 90 minutes wait for 3 breakfasts? And its not the first time.Worrying to see the high staff turnover rate here. Not a good sign... Give it a try if you are passionate about panflute music. Otherwise Id recommend steering clear.

Poor service. Took more than an hour for food to arrive, one order was wrong. Waitress never returned to table to take more drink orders, when i asked another waiter, the drinks never arrived. I eventually complained to owner, she started a screaming match with the waitress for all to see, i was shocked and just walked away. This was my second bad experience and I wil not be back.
