Alton is an absolute champion, got me my dream car (cleanest Ive ever seen a car) friendly and really made me feel like a friend and didnt look down or pressure me in any way possible, the other sales guys all came to say congrats and I really felt like a king, Alton and ford silver lake will always have my stamp of approval and Ill refer all to this branch.

I took my car in to get the electric window and my door fixed and throughout the day I had people calling me telling me nothing is wrong with the car. They told me that the window was fine but they window only worked 1 our of 3 times you push the button. Then I got told the door is fine yet the door latch didnt even clip onto the car properly and would open when I hit a bump. Poor service and I took my car all the way to JHB to fix it.

I took my Ford ranger for a transfer case oil seal replacement. I told them that the output shaft is loose. They replaced the seal but told me that the shaft is fine. I went back to them and then they agree that the shaft is loose but Ford does not work on gear boxes and that they can not fix this problem. Because I did not believe them I took my Ranger to Lasarus Ford and they said they can fix it. A job that could have been done in one session must now be redone at extra costs. It seems if they do not have adequate experience

The most pathetic service I have ever experienced. We were ignored for 40 minutes, while employees were chatting with each other and doing there best not to give us service. Eventually after we were getting annoyed by the lack of service one of the receptionist decided to take down our details to call us back. So I dont think I will go back there again.

The dealership with a service department where you get the worst posssible service for your vehicle. They literally damage your car while servicing it (of course when you refer to McCarthy Silver Lakes the word service must have another meaning than most of us are used to).Be warned that your vehicle will most likely be scratched or bumped or damaged in some form - but, should you raise your concerns, they will get aggresive and attempt to intimidate you. Another approach is the liberal application of blatant lies in order to cover up sloppy work.Rather stay away from this dealers service department. Your health and the value of your vehicle is not worth a visit.

Friendly and fast service from front personnel, a Ford dealership that actually answered when I called for my booking.

Took my car in for minor repairs to Silver lakes branch (had rear suspension bushes replaced), the service technician left old stud in right rear brake drum which caused rear wheel to lock and fail while driving. I had to repair a part of car which was not broke, cause of sloppy work. Will not use them for service or repairs again.

Need to work on a lot of service areas. Last 3 visits not so great.

Just under 2 years ago i bought my first ford. I was looking for an economical vehicle that had the necessary trimmings needed for someone who spends a large portion of their day in the car. The sales team was very helpful and at first i was quite impressed with the ford fiesta ecoboost. Well, that all changed within a few months. My bluetooth stopped conecting to my phone, my radio volume would go up when i tried to turn it down and vice versa, my front and rear windows got a mind of their own refusing to close leaving my car at risk when parked in public parking lots. I took the car in for a service and mentioned the problems i was having, they did their assessment and came back to me telling me i would have to be without my vehicle for up to 2 weeks while they went through warranty. Understandable. What i dont understand is why i dont get a replacement vehicle during this time... I obviosly declined at this time because i could not be without a car for this long. Next service. I brought up my concerns again. The car went in for its service and was also looked at by a technician. I was then told that there was nothing wrong with my radio and they would not replace it. I had to return to ford after being told i was lying, sit with the technician who then finally agreed that there was in fact a problem with the radio. The radio and bluetooth was then fixed. After Picking up my vehicle my rear windows were still giving me problems, my car now was screeching which sounded like the fanbelt and now my hooter was also not working. I was advised that i should call roadside assistance as driving the car may cause further damage. after 4 days of not hearing a thing from ford i was called by Petrus and told that my car was not making any noise (once again being told that i was imagining things) I was also told that my hooter had suffered damage due to possibly being in an accident and that it would not be covered by warranty. I was not in any accident and my hooter was working just fine when i handed it in for service which leads me to only one possibility. Ford damaged the hooter and now refuses to fix it. Denial and deflection and telling the client it is their fault seems to be a common tactic from Ford and offended. I will be sure to pursue this further. I will never purchase another ford vehicle and hopefully put this company and its staff behind me.
