Amazing personal trainers and complete, clean gym. Hands down, best choice Ive made training.

What an amazing Virgin Active. The staff are lovely and so helpful. The facilities are well maintained and very modern. Wonderful salt swimming pool like really!

Probably one of my favorite clubs. Great place with almost all the equipments one would need to workout, sometimes it gets super crowded

Airy, cleanly designed gym which blends in well with the modern surroundings of Loftus. Staff always exchange friendly greetings. The gym is spacious, with a high ceiling so that you have the feeling of exercising outside. I mostly use the pool, flanked on at least one side with large, glass-only windows from bottom to top. On most days, sunlight streams into the pool, which is always pristinely clear. The water is lukewarm, 25 degrees even in winter months, a joy. The gym colour palette uses limited bright colours with shades of grey, in playful interlocking triangles on the pool wall. There is space to sit down and eat a snack from Kauai before you go out.

The place is very clean, friendly staff to assist, the gym is set up in a good way that even if its full it doesnt feel that way

The gym is fairly new so it comes with fantastic facilities. Its clean and a great atmosphere to exercise. The workout area upstairs is a little small and cramped and leaves very little room to manoeuvre when the gym is at capacity. Parking is free for a limited period.

This gym is going technologically backwards. After the recent hack they have failed to reinstate wifi - how convenient is that? Cost saving while members continue to fork out.Today I was told the electronic version of my access card on my phone is also not allowed.Virgin active ...can you please keep up.

Very clean gym with functional and modern equipment. Staff are also friendly and kind.

The personnel there were just something else,asked for a tour but instead got to wait for at least 15 mins without any assistance after I had filled all the forms.Ended up without getting what I wanted, oh well maybe to them I didnt seem like I can afford their R830 p/m membership fee..so disappointed that even at this age of time,we are judged like this ..Next time Ill go with an accent & outfit maybe Ill be taken seriously..

An absolute rip off and fraud of a gym. I signed up and never got the time to actually start going. After 2 months of not going I called to cancel and they told me it would cost me R1800.. Pay for a membership and /or facilities I didnt use!?! Absolutely horrendous experience

Water in pool consistently coldest in the gauteng area. Have complained over the past few years complained numerous times to staff to no avail.Last few for 2 days only the water was nice

Arguably one of the most beautiful Virgin Active gyms in the area! I thoroughly enjoy gyming at this Virgin Active, it’s a really modern gym and the staff are always friendly. Bathrooms are always clean, and the equipment is quite new.

A great gym, filled with young and friendly people! The class instructors here are professionals, giving the best experiences! The staff were extremely helpful when changing memberships- but the one guy hung up on us when we had already joined- not very professional of him. Great facilities at a reasonable rate due to all the students!

Good gym. Busy during peak times. Small compared to most Virgin Actives, but clean with customization equipment which makes doing various exercises with one piece of equipment easy. Quiet during the day. Makes use of Techno-gym and Pure Strength branded equipment. Mostly young members aged

This gym is amazing. They have everything you can think of, is neat inside and have friendly staff. I would recommend this gym to anyone that can afford it. I attended the Splash class it offers in the pool, and Ill highly recommend attending this if you can. The instructor is friendly and it was a very fun experience.

Decent selection of equipment, good amount of squat racks and cardio machines. There could be a few more chest press benches though

Nice equipment and vibe. Beautiful gym. Only down point is that it gets super busy at certain times and then there isnt enough equipment or space to do your workout.

I genuinely enjoy attending the classes, the instructors are always really friendly and patient. My only problem is with the personal trainers and some of the staff. The trainers can be incredibly condescending and presumptuous and sometimes inappropriate when they approach you. Other than that it’s a good place to train.

Has all the requirements of a top gym

Great gym with a good selection of classes. Good size pool with 5 lanes and several studios for classes. It’s in a great location and the changing rooms are nice and large. Full Kauai cafe is available with plenty of seating in the lobby.

Pool is a bit cold at times but otherwise a great gym, one of the best virgin actives I have been to. Great facilities, everything is new, bathroom, showers etc are kept clean. Very good classes. I would recommend the HEAT and reformer pilates classes

By far the best gym Ive ever seen ! It is huge and beautiful and modern and everything about it is just awesome !The facilities are brand new and the changing rooms are big and beautiful (the ladies changing room even has hair straighteners and hairdryers) 😍There are lots of classes available from yoga to pilates to spinning at different times of the dayThere is a swimming pool and a place where the little kids can play and keep themselves busy.What an awesome gym, Id recommend it to anyone and everyone !

This is the gym I go to and I absolutely LOVE IT! first the staff is very welcoming, the ladies changing room is very spacious, with showers, sauna and steam room. There is also a play room for your kids, but they have to be members as well, Ive brought my nephew and niece there once and they had the best time, plenty of toys available and 3 staff members watching over them. Its perfect for kids of all ages. Then the equipment upstairs includes weight training stations, treadmill, all kinds. The classes include spin, Pilates, yoga, shape, HIIT or HEAT as they call it, kick boxing, and obviously the main studio is available for your personal training when there are no classes scheduled. Many personal trainers if youre the kind who needs extra help in achieving your goals. I 100% recommend!

Fantastic facilities, just not overly friendly when I tried to use my digital card unlike Virgin Active Menlyn Maine which is always happy to accept it.

Okay gym. Lots of space wasted on general and Kauai seating areas. The basics are covered, but couldve been much better. Tends to get overcrowded very quickly.

This is probably the future of the Virgin Active gyms, this has everything you could possibly need in a gym and more.Probably what makes this gym so beautiful is the architecture, the solid concrete walls, the lights and almost the urban jungle feeling with writing on the wall.A definately must visit gym even if it is for the day.

The Gym looks very nice.Equipments are relatively new and well maintained.Plenty of cardio equipments.One major complain I think is that they lack of certain bodybuilding machines considering the price and name of virgin active, I think improvements could be made.

Beautiful facility. However, a year later the temperature of the pool still fluctuates greatly. It is disappointing. I therefore change my four star rating to three.

Too busy, cannot always get to the equipment, have to wait in line. This happens when I have time to get to gym. Youre signing up too bodies.

Im new in Gauteng.. Definitely the best Virgin Active Ive been to in Gueteng.

Most of the time you would not find your entire groceries list at Loftus.The store also closes one till in peak time which does not make sense. The store is not designed to have such long qeues so closing one of the tills in peak hours causes choas.Very few of the tellers know how to use a wi code.
