Had a quick stop here for something to eat. The food was ok kind of, the portions are rather small you can judge from the picture of the Tramazini with feta and Avo. The Burger was dry and this was the Sloppy joe. The only thing that was close to being sloppy was the soggy excuse for a bun. Unfortunately even the cup of coffee was on the week side. For the price you pay, you can get much better bang for your buck.

The food is good and the service great. We always ask for Berry - shes such a positive, friendly waitress and will do anything for her customers.

Excellent food. One of the only places that does pap & kaiings justice. And even accommodates low carb meals. My fully loaded omelette was so good! Berryl was such a friendly hostess and we felt the warmth and welcoming atmosphere.

Good food and good service

I ordered a very VERY thick piece of tomato for my breakfast and got yesterdays paper thin garnish... this isnt the issue. The issue is that the waitress told me they refuse to give you a thick piece... I ordered it... Ill pay for it... management look like floating robots asking is everything ok... why yes my toothache is terribly sore?? Get proper training.

Went there for the first with the recommendation from a friend. The breakfast was amazing. It has prices that are so worth while. Foer the size of the meal it is worth it. I will be going there again when in the area. Thanks for the great service as well.

Last night I ate some Bobotie at Elmas. I ate nothing after that, but this morning I am really sick with a running stomach and vomiting. I am of the opinion that Bobotie was not that fresh. You guys will not see me again soon, believe me.

I just read the review from Sylvia Koetzee and am shocked at the lies she tells. My husband and I are regular customers and love going to Elmas. We have previously complained about people walking through to go the toilet. She addressed this with a sign planted near the entrance which this lady igmoredElma wan nothing but polite to this aggressive person. How sad she has chosen to try and defame this wonderful lady and great restaurant

We EAT at Elmas since the restaurant opened sometimes up to 2 times a month have always been happy with their menu and service on 8 Aug we saw shopping at hyperama again. I made my family wait at Elmas so I could wash my hands quickly before we went to eat at Elmas as usual. I walked to the bathroom where a woman did not notice a lady. A woman grabbed me by my arm, I took hold of the driver and held my arm and asked Are you looking for a table? I did not say now before I could finish explaining that I did want a family table after I washed my hands, she still told me on my arm that you can not walk to the toilet through this, you have to walk around everything. asked and wanted to do so. I had never been so humiliated in my life. I came back after my hands were clean and told her darling I still wanted to finish talking but you did not give me a chance I wanted to say when I have finished washing my hands we want a table but we would rather go to another place on which she with Great entertainment made fun of me at seated clients possibly friends. I feel like she humiliated me in front of a full restaurant and therefore has to apologize to me. There are many restaurants and I do not need to spend my money on a person with such bad customer service. I can not believe that such a person occupies such a noble position.Thank you very muchSilvia

We have been customers of Elmas since the opening of the Mayville Mall many years ago. It was then operated under the name BJs. The owner is still Elma Read and we have known her and her staff ever since. Elmas is the only business in Mall that still exists since opening. The others have all closed their doors and this is surely a testament to excellent management and service delivery. At present, good service delivery is the exception rather than the rule, but at Elmas the service is excellent and professional and the rogue is excellent and affordable. Elma Read is an owner with integrity and honesty and I would like to congratulate her and her staff on their service and work ethic and will recommend them wherever I go.
