The wine tasting was fine. The lady promoting the wines was very friendly. However, the restaurant was a disaster. We sat down for a meal (booked) was served with a warm bottle of wine with the promise that the ice and bucket will come. Still waiting. We placed our meal orders. Still waiting. At 3.30 (They close at 4.00) we left. The service was shocking. P Nederburg is advertised internationally. The restaurant is busy digging a grave for the Nederburg wine industry.

Wow... What a beautiful experience!! The food was delicious and very well presented. The service was excellent, staff was so friendly. My family and I enjoyed our time at The Manor restaurant, will definitely recommend it.

Great place and great food

Wonderful lunch. We visited soon after the restaurant reopened after lock down and enjoyed an amazing meal. The wine tasting was informative and interesting, and although we couldnt purchase wines due to the restrictions, Ive since ordered some favourites online which they delivered promptly.

Relaxing atmosphere. Family friendly. With a large grass field for the kids to play. Upper-class feel with competitively price fish and chips. Thats the dish I definitely recommend. Come and have a look.

Service was excellent....and the food delicious. Caters extremely well for children..offering a wine tasting experience to delight their palate ie...ice cream.. marshmallows.. chocolate; while mum and dad enjoy their true wine tasting. Such a novel idea.

Food was amazing! view incredible and service great.however, we went to a walk in the vineyard and were attached with a knife by two young men who took everything we had on us. VERY bad experience … YET the staff were really super nice and had all the empathy and support.nonetheless … PLEASE do not walk around in this vineyard if you decide to go … just enjoy the restaurant :)

Great views, great food and friendly staff. I will definitely be going back. Have lunch under the shade of a tree is always special, but if the food is good to boot is makes it extra special. The wine is superb and the variety much better than youll find in your local supermarket.

Maybe they had a bad day in the kitchen , food was very average . We went there a lot couple years ago, we where always very happy. Now rather a disappointing experience . The lamb shanks we had where very dry and fatty . Same like the venison pies . Staff very friendly but food a no go.

Its so wonderful to head out of Cape Town to a heritage vineyard that has given me so many years of drinking joy, hahah. Not only that, it also caters for family fun! An hour out of Town, but worth every minute, because once you arrive it all falls into place. The view is incredible, the food is yumcious and their is a family fun area for everyone to enjoy. They have set up a really cool jungle gym for the kids and cool hammock like, chair Hoops for those of us wanting to stretch out after a delicious meal. With a lovely breeze on our necks and an easy to order menu, I almost fell asleep, which is a good thing, trust me! They also make it easy for you to chose which wines with what dish and concidering it is the holidays, the less is more approach was embraced, Hehehe. For our starters, We ordered something I have never heard of, called a Slaphakskeentjie Tart Tatin with Chevin Cream - which BLEW ME AWAY and the Smoked Smoor Snoek and Cauliflour Rice - which tastes like home. For mains we hit the Slow Braised Springbok Phylo Parcel - which I unexpectedly enjoyed, as I usually dont enjoy game meat (but we like to share when we try new things and it was yum) and of course I just had to dive into an ocean of Fried Squid Tenticals and Calamari which was fragrant and unique with a warm helping of bulgar wheat to fill the belly. For dessert we kept is local n lekker with the Milk Tart and Rooibos Ice cream and then went international with the Chocolate fondant. Both hit the treat spot nicely. Of course you can NOT go to Nederburg without rounding up a few of their fine wines, so I left, hands full, with some delicious options to enjoy at home. Honestly, a great experience, with wonderful service and an enjoyable vibe. so remember to bring that rugby ball or cricket set you havent used in a while to have some fun with the kids on the field to shake of the tummy tummies. Just a note though, Their are thorns, so bring your takkies!

After Nederburg announced the revamping of their restaurant now called Manor , some month ago, we had a fantastic lunch experience with fine dining food. We spread the news to some friends who all had the same experience after their visits .What a disappointment when we had lunch there last week with our daughter, husband and children. What was fine dining food before was now substandard pub grub. A salad with avocado contained no avocado. The Hake in Fish and chips was not cooked through, smelled fishy and the batter was pale and soggy., the fillet steak came in a conical shape. The sea bass of the Restaurant Week Special menu, was tasty but skin not crispy and the vegetables overcooked.We later found out that the chef in charge on our previous visit had left some weeks ago.
