I have had good experiences at this Builders. They are usually friendly and helpful and never too crowded.Sometimes an items may not be in stock, but its an express and online purchases can be collected there or delivered

No excuse to use Covid to employ people to assist. There is no one to assist properly, so I will rather drive to Wellington to shop at Build-It, you enter with people that smile and are willing to assist you around every corner. And the prices on the items in Builders are non existing?

They are not any better than before. You as a customer needs to go find some one to assist you. Also they never have stock. Online it will show stock available but when you get to the store its sorry we dont have now but the truck is coming

I like to visit this store for my DIY projects and regular hardware items. Spacious, clean and ample secure parking. This past Sunday 8th Aug 21, I got very good advice on choosing the right wood stain &sealer from the salesman on duty. Thank you

Good selection of tools and products for home DIY. But they really need to work on their customer service. You always need to go looking for help, help will never come to you.

I always enjoy to drop in at the Builders Express in Paarl and browse around to see what is new or on special. Their is always ample parking and being situated close to the Paarl Mall its usually on my way from or to somewhere, which means its rare that I have to drive their especially. The light inside is ample and makes reading the isle signage easy. They stock a wide range of power tool brands, both in the heavy duty or more affordable range for the weekend DIY person who does not need the most hard core electric drill for example. The gardening section is also a pleasurable experience with beautiful garden fixtures and plants for your home. Some of their products are a bit over prized though and you can find it considerably cheaper at competing hardware stores, however, I would not let this stop you from going there. Paying for your goods at the checkout points are always a pleasurable experience and they help you quickly. Finding assistance sometimes while looking for something needs a bit of attention from managements side though, but once again its not a major concern. Over alI I always walk out of there feeling satisfied enough that I found what I wanted or needed to get the job done.

Dont think that this place is cheap!We paid 20% more here for 1 litre of paint than at the local paint shop in Paarl. 🙄

After having asked for assistance from 3 different people(*staff members),whom all indicated that they would find someone to assist,i left the store and went elsewhere.Shockingly bad service

Poor service ... went by to look at a trimmer and no staff member to assist. I inquire with a staff member who eventually passed by in the department about the battery and charger for the trimmer and still waiting. No urgency from staff. Management will have to beef up this sloppiness.

Such a big building and servicing the whole Wellington, Paarl, Franschhoek valley, yet in stead of being a Warehouse they are an Express outlet. Limited range, low on stock most of the time and no garden patio stock, where other Express outlet stock it.

Only one person on duty at the service counter for variety of services like key and board cutting on a Saturday morning when most people do their DIY work at home..have stood in a queue from 10h10 and still waiting at 10h40.People not in que are helped as they walk in from the side with no regard for those waiting in line. Please also work on staff friendliness .I encountered one friendly staff member in the light bulb section only.Thanks ,we depend upon you to make us proud of Paarl business experiences !

It seems the shop is to big for the little staff on duty didnt get good service in the department I needed assistance the til points is ok And the stock can be upgraded seems like they selling for lower class and is not running on full capacity like other builders stores now I ask myself why the big shop but think small 🤔 it need to compete against the Makros and builders Cape Gate than no need to go out of Paarl for what you need.

Why does an enterprise like this not respond to feedback??? Just based upon the reviews, how can anyone punish themselves by even going there.It’s a company thing because all reviews are so similar to Somerset westIndifferent staff, poor product knowledge.I have to go to a Brights to get good service.

It is basically impossible to get any more quality products from builders express. Examples are the most expensive door handles they sell that I bought only a few months ago starts to show serious wear as the cheap paint they are coated with simply peals off. Another example is the rollup extention coard also only lasted a few months as the cheap plastic plug points simply broke and now I can not plug anything into it any more. Even the toilet seat I bought only lasted a short while as it is fitter the the most pathetic brackets that simply broke.

You should really consider having direct phone lines to your different branches. Ive been phoning numerous times and everytime they put me through to the Paarl branch then the phone just rings endlessly. All I wanted was a quotation, seems impossible to get help at this place, poor service at its best. P.s Phoned Build It, got an immediate response and got my quotation back within 10 minutes. If it was possible to give you Zero stars then I wouldve.

New Staff need some training

Very mediocre service. Not at all impressed. Completely dis-interested members of staff, talking to themselves and not caring about the customer. A generator should be a fairly easy sell at the moment, and I couldn’t be fully assisted there either by a member of staff (I talked to 3). As someone who frequents some of the other Builders outlets, I’m very sad that the one closest to me is not worth visiting again

When the staff at builders are to busy on their phones so much so that you can take pictures of them rather than helping the customers it makes for allot of walking up and down in the store and is not considered good customer service.
