What an amazing place. Never thought I’d be swimming at sunset in the middle of the Karoo. The food is absolutely amazing. The rooms are so beautiful. You walk in and feel relaxed immediately. Very clean and comfortable environment. Flowers all over the place made it just feel so much more. We will. Definitely be returning. We had an amazing host and all the staff are so friendly. Everyone deserves 10 stars. One of the best features was looking up at night and seeing the stars so clearly. The Milky Way was so spectacular and we could see Venus with the naked eye. Lovely place. Food was good on my first night at dinner

Booked for three nights and after two nights decided to add another to make it a four night stay!! I just had to; De Denne is superb in every respect. An awesome location with views all around.The rooms are spacious,comfortable and luxurious. Breakfast is scrumptious and for dinner the ostrich steak is simply the best I have ever tasted! Staff are welcoming, very friendly and accommodating. The hosts, Johan Keller and his wife, understand what true Karoo hospitality stands for. Very gratifying indeed. De Denne is an absolute must visit destination. And their special tariffs make it one of the best value for money guest houses in South Africa!

I took my mom and little girl for a weekend away in Oudtshoorn and stayed at De Denne for 3 nights. What a treat! We had the most amazing experience. Beautiful accommodation, friendly staff and delicious food AND wine. We were also assist with our weekend itinerary and suddenly the long weekend became too short. There are so many places to visit in Oudtshoorn and all in close proximity 15 - 30 mins away so driving around is not an issue at all. Also plenty to do in the outdoors and fun activities for the little ones - we also ended up feeding the horse and donkey apples and carrots which ended up in a very teary departure...I have no reservations in recommending De Denne and cannot wait until our next trip. The 4 1/2 hours drive from Cape Town was absolutely worth it!!

Loved staying here, in the middle of nowhere. Incredible views and the rooms are very spacious and upmarket. The cold aircon was a bonus. Lovely communal pool to cool down in the heat. The food was good but you cant sit outside due to all the million ants. Will visit again!

What a welcome, what a stay. Met amazing people, made friends. Such professional staff, covid pritocols adhered to, randomly had my car washed, best food ever.

I need more space to sing praises here. From the outset from the booking to the welcome to the guy that randomly washed our car to the most amazing food to the young lady Aike from Serenity Bliss who came at short notice. If you are looking to recharge batteries to food for the soul this is the place to be. The staff are phenomenal, dont want to name them in case i leavd one out. This is the place to go

Good nice guest house. Rooms were clean and nice. Service was good. They even washed our car for free. (we did give them a tip off course but they didnt asked for it) ostrich which is near the reception is a real cupido he practiced his breeding dance every time we went to him. Nice to see they are having a good life. MA Bella restaurant which is near the guest house is nice. We had good food and the wine was nice as well.

De Denne Country Guesthouse is a beautiful Guesthouse on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn close to Highgate the well known Ostrich farm. If one needs a place of quiet environment and just the Country Side of Oudtshoorn this would be for you.

Lovely place with a great Restaurant. The Highlite is the tour at the ostrich farm which I can highly recommend.

The accomodation was more than adequate for our 2 night stay. Beware they are suffering from power cuts (load shedding) but so are many other towns along the garden route. The breakfast service was mixed, excellent one day indifferent the next. We were also a little disappointed with the breakfast choices. Dinner was excellent. The wine tour, which includes the farm tour, was overpriced.

A 5* experience all round !

I loved the place.

Situated on the outskirts of Outdshoorn, this one is the classic Klein Karoo accommodation. The main house is an old manor house from the time of the feather barons. The whole areal is neat and clean and the rooms are nicely appointed. There is a restaurant, that asks you to order you dinner ahead of time. But dont be fooled, the food wont arrive any faster though, compared with a restaurant that takes the order on the table. Besides this, the food is nice and well cooked. The ostrich steak is a must! The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate you. If you asked the day before, they will crack open an ostrich egg for breakfast.

A return visitor...the last time in October 19 with the wife and kids and it was, as expected, a grand experience! An oasis and always lovely to be there

Great experience and hospitality!

Excellent accommodation and restaurant which has a good menu. Braai on-site produces well cooked meat with ostrich from their own farm. Farm tours together with guides can take visitors to local attraction. Our 7th visit I suppose says it all

It is indescribable how my husband and I loved this little oasis. Pure happiness there! Quiet, great photo light and delicious ostrich specialties. The staff was very courteous and polite. Our cars were washed every day and the accommodations are very spacious. The ostrich steak in the in-house restaurant was the best meat Ive ever eaten. The breakfast was so varied that we could hardly try anything. Just perfect! Great attractions in the area, very well located.

Very hard to find, signs are only in the street itself. Nevertheless, a great place to stay. Guest rooms are spacious and clean and have a great view. For the restaurant you have to submit your menu around 5 p.m. That feels a bit strange but then its great what they serve after 7 p.m. Really very good. Also a good wine list.

Lovely guesthouse where you will be very spoiled. Beautiful rooms and a good restaurant. The ostriches are walking in front of the door. And you get a tour with the explanation about these beautiful birds. Only stargazing was a mockery. Furthermore, a very nice place.

Very nice located accommodation. The rooms are nice and tastefully decorated and leave nothing to be desired. A fridge is also available to make food more durable if needed. From the terrace you are in a few steps by the pool and can also freshen up on one of the sun loungers to enjoy the beautiful view. There is a great breakfast buffet and in the evening you can enjoy ostrich fillet in the restaurant.Conclusion: clear recommendation :)

Lovely farmhouse, delicious ostrich dinner and good educational tour. On the road between Cape Town and The Garden Route, its worth the detour to the interior of the country because in addition, the landscapes are beautiful.
