We enjoyed our stay in Mosselbay, service and staff were very pleasant. But the rooms needs attention, hand basin in room 305 bathroom was cracked, soap dispensers were broken and the telephone was broken for the duration of our stay. The hotel is well located with magnificent views.

Very nice clean and spacious suite. It was nice and warm as well. In summer I will not want the same room as it will be boiling! The toilet behind the bathroom door was a bit funny as I initially thought that there wasnt one at all.

These guys are clearly struggling to recover from covid and is creating every day small miracles with what resources they have. NOT A 4 STAR HOTELId go as far as to say this is a nice 3 star hotel (meaning I have stayed in some really nice 3 star hotels).The upkeep and room appearance is what lets this place down. The staff are helpful and friendly, but the rooms are NOT nice, or clean.Such a pity.

Where do I begin..... the receptionist does everything. Nobody to help! The room’s bedding smells like it hasn’t been changed. No DSTV, only 3 channels. The poor guy at reception is doing his best but had to sort out everything. Not fair on staff and not fair on a paying customer paying for a 4 star experience. Will never be back!!!

The Point Hotel was ok just the aircon did not work properly and we froze the night through.There is no extra blankets in the room.The Ladies at the breakfast was excellent hosts.I think if you book via booking.com you get the worst rooms.Not worth saving that extra rand on a holiday as my own room at home was more comfortable than that hotel room.

Definitely not four stars.No water in room,bathroom floods when you shower,water discoloured,sound you hear is not waves breaking on the shore but the aircon making a terrible noise,defined not worth the rate you pay per night.This is a two star Hotel at 4 star prices.besides the view this Hotel has got nothing going for it.Lifts dont work,decor is cheap,water from aircon floods the balcony.

I booked this 6 day stay. I was told 2 weeks before that the lifts dont work. When we arrived nothing in our room was working. No aircon, the kettle was broken no glasses and no extra blankets. The second room had the same problem. According to their website they have Room service but all a lie. Only breakfast. My son had to wait for 2 men to carry him upstairs. The staff however was fantastic., but unfortunately that does not make up for the extremely poor equipment. There were no water in the rooms and you had to ask for water daily. I have not had a Holliday in 8 years and was looking forward to this Holliday but seriously I will never ever go there again. It was like booking into a room with a view and I paid for a 4 star something. Sorry I will not and cant approve of this place.

We got to the hotel only to find that its not worth a 4 star but a two star door handle broken the jacuzzi is not working the sauna not working saying the maintenance has taken long to complete definitely not worth the amount paid.Tv plays with wifi but wifi was so slow

Our experience unfortunately wasnt good. The room wasnt dusty and bedding was not clean.

Currently under construction and does not look like the pictures on internet. Doors dont close properly. Wind blows through the sliding doors and rattles throughthe night.. Bath in 501 was not secured to the floor. And so on and so on. Girls downstairs in spa are GREAT and professional, not like up stars where staff dont know if you are booking in nor out. Will be a great place to go after upgrading has been done.

We were here in 2009 and really enjoyed it. Its right on the coast with rooms facing the ocean. A pretty lighthouse is just a short walk away and there are trails along the rocky coast. Keep an eye out for dassies, a kind of large squirrel. We were there in August when the whales are up and we could see them from the hotel.

Best location in Mossel Bay, and quite possibly one of the best locations in the world. Closest proximity to the famous Mossel bay zipline, perfect for those wanting to do the zipline on holiday, it is just a 1 minute walk. The owner, Dulshi, went out of his way to accommodate for us. The hotel and staff even went out of their way to cook us halal breakfast. We had the most wonderful time in the hotel and the location offers the best activities such as the wonderous cave, beach, aquarium, hikes and zipline. The family rooms are so spacious wish large balconies that are basically on the sea. Thank you to the owner Dulshi and the pleasent staff. We highly recommend this beautiful establishment and look forward to coming again soon.

We all enjoyed the meals very much. Beautiful view right into the big waves outside. Very friendly waiter and lovely atmosphere. We can highly recommend this place!

We booked one of the self catering houses overlooking the camp sight. It was wonderful accommodation for our family of six. The house was well equipped plus the added bonus of being serviced daily. The views were great and it was walking distance to putt putt, the beach, local restaurants, lookout point and the town of Mossel Bay. We will definitely return. The house is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Location location location!This hotel has the best possible location in the area. Flanked by ocean waters on three sides, the rooms have amazing views of waves hitting the rocks. Additionally there is a nice hiking path that goes up to the light house.The food is amazing too!

This hotel is most epic one. The reason for that is its last hotel on the road and its sea facing. I am attaching two of the photos I have taken from my balcony. Its realtively cheap. You can also enjoy parties at their hall by paying little extra. The view at the night is stunning. You must go out for a walk in the night. It will be most existing and thrilling experience. Just beside the hotel there is a way for lighthouse on a mountain which you can go out for morning jog. Its 15km total. But remember that at a point the way to lighthouse and jogging will change. Be sure to ask someone before selecting a track. Enjoy your life.

We stayed five days in Point Hotel recently which is facing ocean. Superb & mind blowing view from balcony of the room. We have been served Jain food. Very good service. One must stay in Point Hotel in mossalbay.

Incredible view!! great location!!Reception staff offered us a deluxe package which was quite difficult to resist, My husband and I had one of the most relaxed Spa treatments in a while. Great choice indeed it was.The fact that it is unlimited I would definitely recommend.

Location and everything is fantastic. However being a 4 star hotel I do not expect things to be stolen from my room. 16000 rands were stolen from my bag in the room. Considering the huge amount I expected some quick action from the hotel. We were just asked to lodge a police complain and wait. We still have not received the complain id nor any updates from the hotel on their course of action. It was a terrible experience after that. I dont know if I will get my money back. However those who are going to stay in the hotel please beware.

Absolutely gorgeous view of the sea and lovely staff. The restaurant has a separate glassed in room to host private parties and theres outdoor seating for those who love the sun and fresh sea air.

Had the most wonderful stay. Staff are helpful and kind and you feel cared for and looked after. The Point Hotel I would recommend to everyone that loves the sea view from your own balcony, looking at the sea and a room that caters for all your needs. Excellent!

We recently had a visit to Mossel Bay and wow was this a tremendously beautiful hotel to stay in!!! The staff throughout was some of the most friendliest people weve ever encountered! The Double Deluxe package was simply amazing with all the unlimited drinks & soothing Spa treatment,this was really worth the value for money. Thanks for a memorable experience. We stayed at the Point on 16 December 2018 on the R3000 package. What a disappointment! The hotel is at most a 2 star with run down facilities and limited availability of drinks and food (they only have boxed wine). Showering was a bad experience as the shower is over the bath and the trap got clogged when showering. The outdoor pool is a public tidal pool. The free parking is the public parking area in front of the hotel with no security. The Spa is in the basement and smells musty, while the jacuzzi was dirty. The Spa treatment was ok though. The staff was helpful, but it was clear they were operating under trying and limiting conditions....we will never ever go to the Point again or recommend anyone to go there. Do not be deceived by the website. The only thing good about this hotel is the view, but that you can get for free from the car park next to the hotel.

Not what website promised!!!!Ok, my comment was based on my first impressions, and the negative experience with bar/food service in an all included deal...Then we went for our couple spa treatment in the relatively new spa...and was treated to above excellent service and professional treatment! Five star spa!!! Make up for the hotels other shortcomings!

The stay was just amazing.There is a beach on the left side.The balcony in the room is sea facing and the view is excellent.There is even a small mountain to climb to reach the light house.In short a must visit hotel if in Morsel Bay

Wonderful location at Sea shore. Service not bad. Three star property. When we visited faced hot water trouble for a day.

I had the privilege to stay here for 2 glorious nights. To be in Mossel Bay is always electrifying, but to have slept here, was a thrill on its own.Although they were renovating this beautiful place, management and staff worked around this problem to still make sure your stay is more than pleasant. Breakfast was as lovely as was the staff who served the breakfast. Helpful and friendly, is the words to describe my arrival experience. I wish I could remember the name of the front office staff member who helped me on arrival and the nice gentleman who helped again to carry my luggage on departure. If all the staff is as helpful as them, The Point Hotel does not have to rely on the beautiful views alone, to sell this love accommodation destination. 10 out of 10

Location of hotel is just excellent and we received excellent hospitality. View of lovely Indian Ocean from our room will be cherished for very very long time.

The Point Hotel & Spa.Fantastic location.Cape St Blaize Light House in right next to hotel with a trail leading up. Could not resist temptation to go visit the Light House . Disappointed. Just a cliff below the light house your progress is blocked by barbed wire fencing. Feeling of so close yet so far ! To see light House go through the city.If for nothing else stay here just for its location. Right on the rocky coast. Gazing across waters of South Atlantic and Indian Ocean. Watch the waves, at times gentling lapping and at times thunderously crashing on the rocks just out side the sit out of your room. True for Rooms facing South.Location is not the only thing going for it . The rooms are comfortable.Food Good. Service nice.During second night of our stay there was major power outage/failure in power supply. Darkness all around. Even the essential and vital safety service like the light house next door was not functioning. Surprisingly there was no standby supply or generator.Every thing must have been thrown out of gear for the staff as breakfast was delayed and service at that time left much to be desired. May be not their fault. Such events could have been avoided in alternate power source was available.Other than power outage we enjoyed our stay there. Recommended.

The hotel position is admirable. It is just on the cliff overlooking the ocean. From the room you can watch whales and dolfins breaching while swimming. The rooms are generally ok quite spacious and with comfortable beds. The cleaningness of the rooms is more of a question mark. What triggered the one star rating despite the positive comments on the rooms was the outside of the rooms. The hotel is just not finished.In many corridors the tiles were missing, the main reception had holes in the walls and the ceiling was not finished yet. Hence it seems like living in a place which is undergoing renovation but no one is working on it.The staff is also not perfect, their work processes are not enabling the team to provide the best service and very often the info provided are confusing and not clear. In general they are also quite rude. Overall not recommended.

Me & my husband went for our honeymoon to south africa thru Gem Tours of India. V visited entire south africa in 12 nts but BEST OF BEST part was Point Hotel, Mossel Bay. Perfect honeymoon place, music of waves, large & comfortable room, excellent massage @ their spa, Food was THE BEST. V did not taste such a Lovely food at any other place in south africa. Very good staff. Mossel Bay itself is wonderful place, so many things to do, so many activities, so SAFE. My eyes were full of tears & emotions when v left the place. I will just say, if not stayed at Point Hotel in Mossel Bay, u r greedy & not wishing to taste real south african wonder.

Point hotel & spa one of the best hotel for stay at mossel bay.. Its location is also best at the edge of the ocean and also all staff is also of friendly nature and ready to help Also food was very delicious with various options for all the visitors from different origin..I have also stayed at johannesburg and Capetown but my experience of stay at mossel bay was unexpected. Also spa experience with one of best europian therapist was awesome ...I recommend to all to stay at mossel bay and only at point hotel
