My first visit and Ive been wanting to try this place for a long time. I certainly was not disappointed. Maybe their Covid protocols could get some attention, but, everything else was pretty good. The young lady assistant was just so pleasant and very efficient, good energy. The drinks were nice and cold too. Then the Mutton Bunnie, I would venture to say, one of the best in Johannesburg. The bread was just fresh and soft, really good. And, that Curry, Outstanding, really. There is a gentleman who is in charge or maybe the owner who just compliments the whole experience, which was a great one. I would recommend Marlons, great food, great service, worth a visit. And they have a great variety of special meals on Saturdays too.

My 2 Friends and I had the pleasure of stumbling into Marlons House of Curries while we were in Jhb for a work trip. The restaurant was recommended to us by a mutual friend who lives close-by.We were looking for some authentic Durban-style curry and had a day off to do just that. When we arrived Marlon greeted us at the door and shuffled some tables for us so that we could sit together outside, we had a waiter in seconds and we already knew we wanted to try... The Lamb Bunny Chow (Also recommended by our friend). While we were waiting for the bunnies Marlon had a great chat with us, telling us about the history of the restaurant and why he loves the food they serve and how he has the Bunny Chow bread baked daily. We received our food quite quickly, and it was beautiful, thick and fluffy white bread and a generous portion at that. We were about ready to dig in when we received an extra bowl of gravy for the chow, at which Marlon explained, he doesnt like when the plate is full of gravy and the bread turns soggy, which I thought was a very small change that makes a world of difference. We had a fantastic time. Marlon is amazing and the food was delicious. I might consider moving down from Cape Town just to eat here regularly.Thank you very much for an absolutely amazing meal.Hopefully the first in a long line of Chows!

The food is good, however the last two times I have ordered they have not delivered what I ordered. So please check your order carefully. If you order multiple of the same item they only send 1 of the extras that are supposed to come with it.

Marlons House of Curries used to be at the Gallagher Business Park, now at the Old Nagaihs centre. The food is always consistent;y good, which is why his loyal customers still frequent him for years. The menu is bunnies, curries, etc. There is a bar as well so you can also have a few drinks. Pricing is market related for the area. The chillies pickle is the best. Free open parking at the centre. Outside seating upstairs. Great food! One of my favourite bunny places in Gauteng.

My first and last visit to Marlons house of curries Midrand...I was expecting a nice Durban style curry.and instead my order of Lamb curry did not have taste. After paying and telling the owner (in a hope that he is aware of the problem) didnt do much good as he got upset .He refunded me for my takeaway that I had purchased for a friend. Instead of going to the kitchen&checking if there is a problem or not, he has a poor attitude towards customer feedback/complaints Understandably everyday isnt perfect in the kitchen but show respect your customers and keep a good standard .... ps paying R30 more to eat in Sandton or anywhere else is a much better option if you are not interested in the bar or soccer. The food is not cheap so expect to hear about it. A wasted star as there is no option to not give any star.

Food is great, Authentic Durban Style Food... worth the visit... What i liked most is that we had our bunnies to go, and they separated the bunny, when we go home, there was enough curry and gravy...unlike some places where you only get the best if you sit down and eat

Racist staff. If its not the whites its the Indians people. Its clear that Marlons only serves their kind. I was ignored and people after me where served first. I guess cos they were Indians. It was my first and last time. Downstairs at suriyan service is better. As I never had the food @ MarlonsI cant comment on that

Rubbish! They dont deserve one star!Went there yesterday.Overpriced menu.Horribly unfriendly woman serving. She was unfriendly and unprofessional to us and to people on the phone. Their speed point wasnt working and after waiting for 15 minutes for a burger and masala chips the owner who wasnt there initially came out to tell me there wasnt any rolls! This was at Lunch Time!!! They were going to make it like a dagwood! My argument is then dont call it a burger!I was most Unimpressed. I will NEVER EVER go there again. They will NEVER match up to Dalis.
