Definitely will not be going back. The saltiest chicken Tikka marsala, and what was supposed to be Butter chicken, not a good experience. Definitely not the same as the used to be.
Great food and service - the tikka chicken was perfectly cooked, a large portion and with all the sides and condiments. One of the better tikka chicken and naan in area at a really great price.
Ordered the chicken tikka jumbo meal for the family which came with 1 full chicken tikka, salad, sauce, chips, 1.5 litre coke & 4 rotis.Rotis were really oily, chips dry, chicken was dry...the salad was mediocre and the sauce was tomato sauce! Not impressed :(
From my order one item was short, but included in the bill. I still enjoy the taste of their tikka chicken about the only item I by. How ever quality is starting to slip.
Bunny chow was good but not as good as Durban
The best biryani place in the country....
Good food, only problem is that the price on the menu is not what i was charged .If prices changed they should have informed me.
Food was average. Waitress was great though.
Ordered the new braai pack and it was very nice
Excellent food as usual. Good service and excellent prices.Always going back for the Copper Chimney Express.Their Chicken Schwarma is amazing.I could live on their Aloo and Cheese Paratha.
1/6 bone bland bunny. The worst Ive had
The quality of the food has dropped . Management has become arrogant and has an attitude if you not happy with the food buy elsewhere so thats what we have done . Like us Copper Chimney will lose a lot of clients if they dont get the quality correct and their attitude towards their clients dont change.
Chicken Sharwama not up to standard ,pita bread stale.
Nice n delicious
Enjoyed the bunny.
Freshly prepared food at a decent price, and a more than decent serving. The service is great too, I will definitely be returning.
The food is always excellent. Great value for money and portion size
Copper Chimney, thank u for the delicious foodVeg breyaniPaneer with tikka masalaNaan
I dont enjoy this time because they gave me both legs in Chicken Tikka in 1+1 without informing me and I dont like leg pieces. In half chicken it should be 1 leg and 1 breast piece. Moreover it was mild and they didnt asked which one would like and I also forgot to inform! They did same job once long back!
Ordered the veg curry and was very disappointed. Received a tub of oil soaked gravy and a single piece of a vegetable.
Their quality is dropping.
Had lunch here. Was nervous about eating out after a long time. But they had sanitizer and took our temperature b4 we entered. We ordered the curry pack as we were a family. The portions are a bit small for 4 people especially if u like alot of meat. It consists of 3 curries: butter chicken, chicken curry and mutton curry, 2l cold drink, table salad and 4 naan. We added 4 extra naan to the order. The naan was deliciously buttery and topped with sesame seeds. If u are looking for an Indian butter chicken, then this would not be suitable for your palate. It was very mild and creamy. The chicken and mutton curry however was delicious and done according to ur choice of hotness. We also ordered a toasted chicken and mayo as a starter. Was ok. It was noted though that they dont serve any tea, coffee or milos. No hot drinks. Overall we has a good experience here. Waiters and staff very friendly.
Lovely bunny chows
We ordered bunny chows and curry,s , the flavour was wonderful the rest not so much, the lamb was the toughest we have ever had and the curry was served on its own which isnt a problem except when its more expensive than a bunny chow, really very very disappointing.
It is a combination of an Indian, Pakistani andBangladeshi food plus also they have some local kind of food which is really very delicious. We ordered here Mutton karahi with Butter Naan, The food was very spicy delicious and hot too. The staff of this place was very friendly, helpful and polite too. It was great to sit and eat here.
Food was delicious but the whole family had diarrhoea the following morning
This little Gem should be on everyones have to experience list. Do yourself a favour and go there. The food is so authentic and absolutely delicious!!
Good food at very affordable prices
I love the food
Good food
Ordered via delivery only to be ripped off. Order was missing items. And of what was there the portion sizes are unacceptable. Also poorly packaged and presented. Hugely disappointing experience and not forgetting overpriced!!!
The place has a quick service with regards to the daily specials, the experience was great.
I have never seen such a disgusting looking steak and cheese roll, more like soup than steak. Dont get me started on the taste😒
Could do with a bit more hygiene and staff must be more cleanly.
Food was ok. We ordered the chicken tikka that came with chips. Asked for a take away of the leftovers with a large amount of chips. There was no chips. When we called, they said there was no chips. Then we told them there was chips. After that, they said the chips was oily so they threw it. The place isnt very clean as well.
Worst Copper Chimney I’ve ever been to. Service is terrible. No glasses with drinks. Almost no drinks to choose from. Chicken tikka and boti was dry and burned. Mixed grill did not have any steak boti - because they were out of steak. We wanted to order prawns, but they were out of prawns🤦♀️The chicken karai had small bones, making it impossible to eat.Very very disappointing experience!!
Bunny was not good. Definitely not lamb even though advertised as such.. Meat was hard(its sheep). Was really disappointed.. Second time now.
I was offered a free mark from.tbe manager excellent service customers do fine first
I simply love the tikka chicken. The chicken is done well and flavoured really nice. On a Friday they are closed between 12 and 2pm for prayer.
Very good Indian food 👌👌
What a load of kak!! I jus ordered the Veggie pizza and its basically a can of peas and sweet corn drowning in tomatoe sauce, on a poorly made base. This is rubbish really, I wish I could upload the picture.
The best biriyani and bunny chow in Midrand! Great special offers daily too.
Only ordered 3 bunny shows once so far.The 3 Lamb bunny was actually very good & delivery fast in midrand. However, we ordered boneless lamb bunny but received 3 boned lamb bunny chows. Still good though. We will order again but cant seem to get hold of the place on their telephone number. Phoned today more than 6 times and just get cut off. This is persistent problem, maybe technical. They need to sort it out fast. Business wont survive like that. Rather use a cel number maybe with immediate order taking.I would give 4 stars if I get what I order and can actually phone them to place an order.
Good satisfying flavourful foodYou wont go wrong at Copper Chimney
Typical pakistani restaurant, was not impressed with the chicken tikka portion size and the chips were very oily. The service has also gone downhill. Hygiene needs to be looked into!! I wont be back.
Good affordable freshly made food, best butter naan in Gauteng!
Cozy environment and excellent halal food
Good specials. Buy 1 bunny and get 1 free
Very good Indian food, they have a great deal on bunny chows every Wednesday, buy-one-get-one-free, just dont go there if you cannot handle the burn!
The food was really good and very friendly service
Good food, awesome service, fantastic specials, my advise would be, order something they specialise in, you cant go to a seafood restaurant and order pasta, same principle; tikka n bunny will not disappoint 👍👍👍
Ordered and received a buttrr chicken curry. Portion size was tiny, tasted bland and definitely not value for money. Literally headed to buy a other food now, feeling rather ripped off. The quality of this once great brand seems significantly diminished.
We had a function at work on a Monday. We required 30 chicken breyani and 10 veg breyani, dhal and salad with soji, to feed 40 people. To be collected by 11am on MONDAY morning. All was ready (even with electricity problems). Ready and tasty. There were only about 30 people at the function, but there were almost no leftovers as everyone had eaten the LOT. Tasty, great service. Thanks CC!!
The food was terrible, especially when coupled with the fact that its quite pricey. Firstly, it took a really long time to prepare, so one would imagine that some effort and skill went into making it. The chilli chicken pretty much landed up tasting like they just opened a can of low-quality ready-made chilli sauce and threw in the chicken pieces. The butter chicken didnt taste like any butter chicken Ive ever tasted in South Africa or in India; the blandest meal ever. Overall, a terrible take-away and very disappointing, I would definitely recommend avoiding.
Was the best. The service delivery was👌
Food was delicious and portions generous, and service was pretty good :)
Mediocre chicken tikka. Chicken was a bit dry and not fresh. Its been marinating in the freezer then thawed and prepared on the day. And very oily.
Food okayish, but prices are really value-for-money.
Good curry staff service poor
Best Lamb Bunny Chow I have had in years! Unmatched!
Excellent and tasty meals.
Decent food and good service
Great foodCheese naan to die for
Good food and good service
The most delicious food 😍😍😍
Greatest Indian food in town
Good food... Have daily specials
Love the bunny chow...
Best Oriental spices in the south its the waiting thats gonna bore you.
One of my most horrible experiences ever. The Dhal Makhani and the Paneer Tika had exactly the same taste prepared with the same base.To my understanding, Paneer Tikka is an almost dry meal or with a very thick gravy. The meal I was served with was close to a curry soup, with lots of a canned tomato base and 8 cubes of paneer, approximately 1 cm x 1 cm x 1 cm in dimensions. The Dhal Makhani tasted more like lentils dunked in a tomato base out of a can.Chicken Tikka Masala can never be more cardboard-ish than that which was served to one of my guests at our rickety tables. The advertising of the Restaurant on television is very misleading and the outlet can hardly be called a restaurant. In reality, it is a very grotty environment, almost a pavement style operation, with a few chairs and tables slapped together. The pricing structure is very much in line with a good Indian Cuisine Restaurant, noting that what I have described hardly even meets the standards of a standard take-away operation. To the waiters advantage, he blamed the lack of availability of most items on the menu (including salad) on the fact that there was load shedding. Please note that this incident occurred at around 16h00 in broad daylight.Whilst the original Copper Chimney in Durban has an extremely good reputation, the same cannot be said here. Perhaps an opportunity for the Brand Name/Owners/ Franchisors to review their operating standards?
Good food as always.
Food excellent and tasty
Tikka at its best
Terrible ,had the mutton breyani , which was extremely dry
