Very nice place for relaxing in weekends ... Many activities are there for kids.... My Kids just love to be there. The play area is nice and theyve few animals inside too. Feeding them is fun. We went on a weekend( sunday) and it was not too crowded, thats good. Many crafts items are sold and the ceramics painting activity is the best for anyone, for kids or even grown ups will enjoy it. Covid protocols needs to be followed by everyone. No drinks or foods allowed from outside. 😊 Overall we had very good experience. ❤

A good amount of farm shops and activities. There was not many people around - probably because of the pandemic. I came specifically for a walk in the bush. There is a lot of space but running / walking trails are not well marked. The area has a lot of rubble that spoils nature sites. If I go again it will be with my bicycle.

Rustic enjoyable outdoor market. Food choices are limited but the bar area is popular with good live music.

Riversands is a lovely little outdoor farmers-like type marketplace with a few eateries, like pizzas, shwarmas, smoothies etc. and place to have a picnic. You can go for a walk in the woods or cycle some nearby trails. They have a great little coffee shop. The tables are out in the open. Lovely atmosphere on a sunny day. I think that sometimes they may do live music too, not sure. There is a paintball range nearby and an obstacle course for kids or team building. Also safe parking and a carwash place that recently opened.

Consistently delicious food from the German lady Elizabet, and delish cocktails from the tikki bar. Great place to hang out and listen to music, eat and drink. They also have a massive supervised play area for kids, so parents can have some time off. Dog friendly too!

Riversands farm is my go to when I need some outdoor time which is closeby. A great balance of food and drink options for those hungry tummies. The best part is the walk you can take through the farm and the forest. You can get some good steps in. There is also ample kids entertainment. Come as you are to Riversands. Unpretentious and relaxing.

Awesome market for a quick break from the city hustle and bustle. The food sold at the market is tasty and fresh. There is an entertainment area for children. Dogs are welcome on a leash, and there is lots of open greenery to walk them around. Lots of shady seating provided too. Great market!

Lovely getaway from the hustle and bustle. Great for couples, families, walking your dogs ect. There are so many activities, things to buy, live music and amazing food stalls. The bars cocktails are delicious and the German beer platter was a winner! I will definitely be returning.

If the image that they were trying to portray is a run down venue, they nailed it. At least pick up the junk lying around and pull out some weeds. 2 star s only due to a good local beer calls a harvest. Maybe after 6 more I might be willing to overlook the kids playground that looked like the scene from con air were Steve Buscemi is sitting with the little girl singing, hes got the whole world in his hands

Beautiful place to spend your weekend. Google maps says its a little difficult to spot the place however we were happy with the directions by Google maps. I was expecting the place to be crowded, hard to find parking and all that thoughts however turned up to be a beautiful weekend place to go. Its a place for everyone; single/couples/family and has a beautiful vibe. There are different options for food and place for kids to play. The Riverside with the zip lining is an added advantage for adults. Worth your weekend!!!

Great food, stalls, and atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating with things.Playground for the kids is fun but could really do with sanding and painting of the wooden equipment looks run down and its a bit dangerous. However the staff are wonderful and my toddler had a great time.

Lovely farm feel. Great for delicious coffee and breakfast after the MY RUN. You can buy handmade bags, dogs toys and beds, kids toys, vintage stuff, pancakes and its dog friendly but they are all on leads. Very cute stalls and family friendly. I would recommend it.

Very nice place for a chilled Sunday afternoon with family or friends. Dog friendly. There were dogs all around, but all dogs are on leashes and if not, they are very friendly. The food stalls are awesome as well as the craft beer bar. Lovely outdoor seating, you can sit wherever. Enjoyed it. Bathrooms as well and changing rooms for babies which is cool. Nice view as well.

Absolutely LOVE Riverands. Its been my go to for years. Lovely vibe, great food stalls, awesome beers, all outside in the fresh air, live music on Sundays and its dog friendly too.

Great day spent with friends. Cute petting zoo and tractor rides. The only place in Gauteng I’ve found other than the Pretoria Show that has cinnamon sugar pancakes. Yum! Also pizza and other food. Loved the live music day I went to a couple of years ago there

Enjoyed visiting but the stores are mainly catering food. They have a great play section for kids. We loved the zip lining across the river. It is great fun and the staff are very attentive and helpful.

Beautiful place. We managed to find a lot of stuff. Organic honey for jua R100. The food was delicious. They have live music but we went there early so by the time we left the bands was getting ready to perform. There are so many activities to do. Theres a play area for kids as well

The Short: Worth a visit if you want a laid back atmosphere over the weekend. The Long: This was our first visit to the village and we enjoyed it. What makes it, is the fact that there are a number of food vendors on site so if one is substandard you can simply move on. We gave the chap (no store branding) that did eisbein and sausage platters a go and it was really good. Grab a beer or cider (on tap on both is also available) and go and sit on one of the many tables provided. The kids also have a play area (R60 entrance as of 14/03/21) which has a slip and slide and bunnies to feed amongst other activities. I think a picnic blanket and chairs may be a plus on really busy days.

We went to Riversands Farm Village for their Funtasy Farmfest for Spring Day. It was a badly organised event and very quiet. I was appalled at the fact that we paid R65 per person for entrance (7 people) then we had to pay another R20 per child to jump on the jumping castles. What nonsense! This was not an “event” at all. Absolutely nothing else to it. Pay R65pp+ an extra R20 per child for the kids to jump, to buy sub standard food and overpriced drinks. Uuuum no thanks, any restaurant would have been a more exciting “event”. Best thing was the appearance of the coffee. Is this place past it’s sell by date or was it just a bad weekend?

Very vibey yet relaxed atmosphere. Lots of stalls, craft beer was amazing. Plus plenty of things to keep the kids occupied. The potjie competition on Saturday was amazing. Hope there will be more of such events.
