Overall this was a great experience. The game drives were incredible and Nambiti is a beautiful reserve. Darren was a great guide. The food was decent, though the Boma night left something to be desired and the buffet meals were not as good. Providing salad dressing in a bottle was a bit odd given everything else was quite high class. That felt a bit cheap. The rooms were well kept and the outdoor shower was amazing. One large gripe though was the bathroom was only separated from the main sleeping area by a half wall and included an exposed toilet. That meant if you were sharing the tent it was a bit odd to use the toilet as there was little to no privacy. This seems like it could be an easy fix, but because of that, I had to give it 4/5.

Amazing Lodge with modern interior even though you sleep basically in a huge tent. The lobby is very beautiful designed in a hunter hut style. The food is amazing there including the nice staff that serves the food. Our Safari Guide was nice too and he knew where all the amazing animals are. We had a blast at this smaller reserve.

Superb facilities and service. Our room (tent although it had brick sides and a lockable door) was very comfortable for a family of 4, and s lovely environment to collapse after some tremendous 3+ hour game drives. We saw all the Big 5 as well as cheetah, hippos, many varieties of buck, giraffe, zebra, warthogs, wildebeest etc. Our friendly, and really knowledgeable key guide Sindy drove us around the park pointing out so much that we would have missed otherwise. All meals were served in the central lodge , and were of good quality and we enjoyed the great service. Overall this is a tremendous place.

Really worthwhile bush-breakWe spent two nights at this resort. Accommodation is in very comfortable tents with all the amenities of a four star hotel room. They provide three meals per day, which are interesting and well presented. We were most impressed with the quality and variety of food presented. Full marks to the Chef and his team! The nature reserve is 10,000 hectares and contains the Big Five of which we saw four. The game drives are morning and afternoons each of three hours duration. The rangers are very knowledgeable and in contact with other vehicles by radio so it makes game viewing interesting with good sightings of antelope, lions and elephant. Not suitable for young children for safety reasons.I highly recommend this destination which in a malaria free area as a must see. Booking is essential

Great for honeymooners! Family friendly atmosphere, but if you have young kids I recall one of the other lodges being more family focussed. The game drives are amazing in themselves, but the lodge is beautiful, the food is amazing and the glamping tents are not short on luxury! The guides and staff are incredibly friendly, and the guides are very personable and know you all by name - their knowledge of the reserve and the animals is incredible. Be sure to pick their brains! Honestly, it feels like a small country with its entirely own culture. Not just a tourist attraction, either! Mostly SA residents and more often than not, not their first time. That says a lot.

Wonderful game sitings. Whole experience made extra special by enthusiastic and knowledgeable Ranger Mike Roy. Definitely went more than the extra mile. Not only going to great lengths to deliver the requested game sitings but history, geography, game tracks, birding, insect info and info about vegetationDefinitely someone to request. Why then 4 stars and not five???The game drives and viewing probably worth 6 or 7 stars. But food bang average and some downright poor-tough kingklip and sticky date pudding disappointing ? Bought in. Veges peppers and onions standard every night. For the price you pay expect better. Accommodation luxurious but we never slept. Something (purported to be Pigeons in the roof )- scrabble around all night and keep you awake. We have been to 2 other lodges at Nambiti. Their service accommodation and food better but I doubt whether we could ever have had better game viewing included a lion kill a few meters from our vehicle. So would return to Springbok Lodge if Mike Roy is available as the ranger/guide but probably not otherwise.
