From the moment you arrive to your departure, you will be forgiven for thinking that they mistook you for some dignitary. You are treated like royalty. The staff from the Gardner to the Manager are warm friendly and oh so eager to serve you. The Game Drives are unforgettable experiences. Our guide Ryan was simply the best( bit of bias here). All the guides work in concert to ensure every guest has a viewing of all sightings. They are constantly in radio contact. Ryan our guide was, infectiously full of knowledge and enthusiasm. His work is his love. He has this unique ability of being a guest and the guide. Sharing knowledge, exchanging knowledge and making your safari an experience. The lodge is luxuriously rustic. Simple in its design, blending the landscape and purpose into a beautiful architectural feat. The service was beyond my wildest expectation. From your room being tidied after your morning safari, to your beds being turned down for the night with chocolates on your pillows and your towels folded into figures of animals is just that attention to detail, that contributes to the beauty of the place. The food is gourmet, from breakfasts to lunches to supper. Not a buffet thank you very much, but an ala cart meal of your choice at every meal time. I could go on, but you must experience it to appreciate it. Cheetah Ridge is a gem of a place, that even the everyday South African can afford at least once. Thank you Cheetah Ridge, I will be a return visitor (often I might add)

I had a fantastic time here. The early and evening game drives were definitely the highlight of my stay. The family room was very clean on arrival and the hot towels provided at the entrance was great after a long drive. The service is excellent and the staff are all very friendly. The on site spa was another favourite. The provided meals were delicious and varied each day. The pool was cold during our visit but very clean. Overall, I had an amazing time and would love to come back. The lodge really lives up to its awarded stars.

Good food well presented Staff helpful & friendly Rooms extremely disappointing felt like a prefab with sticks attached.. the shower was just in the room, plastic floor (slippery, no where to place wash bag. I was privileged enough to stay at this fantastic game lodge on the weekend of the 17th September 2021. The staff are just amazing, helpful, caring and welcoming. The food makes your stomach do cartwheels its so good. The rooms and the view is out of a movie. Our game ranger/guide Themba is the most humble, polite, knowledgeable on fauna and flora, I learnt so much from him and he has a fantastic sense of humor. Ive been lucky enough to go on a few overseas holiday trips before but local is definitely the most lekker!!! Cheetah Ridge is a truly authentic and luxury South African experience that you will get nowhere else in the world. Its situated in Nambiti (Big Five) Private Game Reserve and the accommodation is nestled around a vibrant watering hole. The whole experience even before checking in was amazing! The manager Lauren accommodated all our last minute needs and hassles and her team provided excellent service throughout our stay. All meals were catered halaal for us and the food was really delicious! The game drive was fantastic and we spotted a few of the big five. Our game ranger was very professional, friendly and offered expert advice throughout our drive. I definitely would recommend this for anyone looking for a real luxury safari experience.

3rd visit and every time the experience is different. The different seasons all make for a unique experience at this oasis in the heart of South Africa. The staff is so attentive and the animal experiences are amazing. In 2 hours we saw 4 of the big 5, plus Cheetahs!

Nambiti House is a lovely family home. Lebo was a super guide and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The area around the pool needs attention as there are thorns and weeds which meant kids could not run bare feet. The boma is great and the staff prepared the braid and fire. We will definitely be back

A Slice of Africa with Perfect Service...What a place to visit. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived having a great welcome service. After the formalities it was off for lunch under a huge ancient fig tree which made for an outdoor experience that made every meal delightful.Our main meal was in side or outside under the stars. Lit by candle with the sounds of the wild around us.The wood fire at night made sitting and relaxing a wonderful experience too and we made the most of watching as the Milky Way pass us late into the night.That didnt deter our enthusiasm to be up for the early morning drives and all the treats we had in store.There was so much game to see and our guides were knowledgable and keen to impress us with the amazing countryside around us.I wont give too many of the details away, because being there was an experience I am pleased I didnt miss shared with new and old friends.Make this a place to visit if you are looking for some special care and attention and I am sure you will not be disappointed.Thank you to all the staff for making this so special!

Stunning scenery and location overlooking a lake where hippos relax. The game drives were brilliant and we saw lots of animals up close. Our guide Lauren was knowledgeable and fun to spend time with. Gorgeous chalets and an amazing experience in Nambiti overall. Friendly, professional service and excellent food! 2 daily game drives are an absolute treat, and the rangers were fantastic. Its a fairly pricey holiday, but well worth it.

We were there in late December 2017. The animals we saw at the watering hole outside our cabin and on the game drives each day were out of this world. Richard was an outstanding game driver!! He worked well with all age groups and was knowledgeable, engaging, and accommodating. Shaun (?), Isaac, and the chef all worked together to make our stay delightful. A highlight was eating under the 101 year old fig tree and seeing 7 hippos come out of the water hole at one time.

Rustic self catering farm style home. This place is amazing as a self catering spot, including a massive Boma for making a fire, and telling stories. Part of the magic of Nambiti is the warmth and service of the staff who run the Park. I have been on a fee game drives and met many Rangers. Our guide Lebo, took us out on two drives. Both days we were lucky enough to spot many of the big 5. Lions and cheetahs, elephants etc. It was truly incredible. The lodge is next to the main catered reception. With a little dam, and loads of electric fencing surrounding it. Waking up to see elephants have a drink within 200 meters of where you just slept is amazing. Lebo Motaung is the guide we would recommend . He grew up as a boy in the village nearby and has studied and been trained as a game ranger on this very park estate. Over 10 hectares in total. I cant emphasize enough, just how awesome our two days were. It felt like 2 weeks, thanks to the clean rooms, with fans and cooling. Focus on borehole water and focus on safe conservation, while we observed the animals.This is the kind of lodge suitable for kids too. There are 3 little Warthogs around. Waking up in the morning to various animals right outside our gate, was a real treat.I recommend this place. Humble. Authentic. Captivating and unique. Go there. Tell Lebo I sent you!!!!

First of all, the attention to detail was astonishing, we felt so spoilt and special as if we were the only guests. Game drives were amazing and informative. Jonathan is surely one of the best and most informed rangers we have ever met. He is definitely an asset. He doesnt beat around the Bush in finding exotic game. Signature dishes 10/10. Spa treatment 10/10 wow to Nompilo. Neo was also very helpful, this guy makes a killer cuppachino. Keep it up and you will definitely see us again.Ernst and Vanessa Crous

Absolutely fabulous place to stay, our guide Graham (freelance) was helpful and knowledgeable on all our drives. Would definitely recommend this lodge at Nambiti.

I stayed here with friends for 2 nights. If u have the chance of ever booking here, ask for the bungalows on the water lodge and definitely ask to have Jonathan (Jono) as your ranger. He takes you on that special hiden track where u think no ways can we pass. U have that fantastic bush safari effect u want to experience. Make sure u have ur camera ready... bucks around every corner... lions and lionesses... hippos and much more. Thanks once again to the entire team for an awesome service ... and to Jono for an experience of the wild silent side of Africa. Ur stories and expertise are one of a kind.

Such a brilliant place to stay! Staff are all so helpful and accommodating . Facilities are great and the Self catering house is such a brilliant place to stay!

Took the family from England as well as the SA family here as part of my 70th birthday celebrations, ages ranged from 7 to 72 and we all enjoyed every minute of it. The game drives with Jonathan were fantastic, what he doesnt know about the wildlife isnt worth knowing. We saw 4 of the big 5, only the leopard was rather elusive, which we expected. The cheetah and her cubs and the lion and lioness together with the rhinos and hippos more than made up for it. We saw so many different animals. The staff at the lodge and spa were so kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Dinner in the poolroom for 8 of us was perfect. Even the boma and braii were lit daily, ready for our return from the evening drives. A wonderful experience, hope we can return one day. Thank you everyone.

Great atmosphere. Accommodation right next to a water hole, where animals romp all day long. The safaris have been a must and the highlight of our trip.
