Most people reviews here almost expecting it to be a 5 star Chinese restaurant its more of a take out place , I been here many times over the years for takeaways only once did I eat in which was a meal for 2.Never had a problem, staff and owner s always pleasant , food always nice and tasteee.They do need better take away boxes though .

Knysna local and I love Bow Tie. I eat there almost weekly and they have never messed up my order, it is always good and the staff are incredibly friendly (I have no idea what other reviewers are talking about.) I always recommend Bow Tie to friends from out of town and they always enjoy it as well. The spice level is definitely toned down for white people but if you like the heat, all you have to do is ask ;) I leave Bow Tie sweating every time.

Sweet and sour pork was the bomb the black bean beef was the bomb order came in time staff friendly chef came to drop it off itself , the sushi rice was a bit over cooked . But I was surprised at how good the food was given their reviews . Id say stay clear from the sushi but the rest is really good .

I really used to like bow tie a lot. But the service and attention to food has gone downhill over the years. Today I waited more than an hour for my takeaway order (1 meal and 2 spring rolls) with only one table seated in the shop. Even if they sat down just before I got there (which they didnt because they all had open wine bottles) it should not take that long to prepare one meal. Also the spicy pork wasnt spicy in the least and half of the stuff I originally wanted to order was not in stock.

Great option for cost friendly asian cuisines. Public spaces and hygiene can be improved. Staff is very friendly. This restaurant caters for takeaway and has two public toilets. Not wheelchair friendly.

Fantastic food. Great soups. Spring rolls that are what they meant to taste like. Not frozen. Crunchy golden deliciousness. Main fresh and good portion.

Lovely restaurant

Staff appeared friendly with me. Convenient location, I didnt struggle with parking. I ordered the beef Chow Mein, it was a bit too salty. I ordered the Duck Chop Suey, it doesnt appear to be the whole half a duck as advertised on the menu, and even though it was supposed to be boneless, it contained all its bone on. Unfortunately they use a cardboard type of take away containers, it just leaves a soggy bottom after a short while. The duck was tasty but a little too salty.

The sushi was underwhelming amd overpriced but the vegetarian dishes - chow faan, chop suey etc. were absolutely delicious. Friendly staff. Would recommend

I went there with hopeful expectations (regardless of the high number of bad Google reviews) and was HIGHLY disappointed. Service was slow and incompetent, they forgot my order (twice!!) as well as someone who ordered over an hour ago before me. My food was so oily and terribly bland, needless to say that 90% of it was cabbage and onions. I refused to eat and pay for one of the dishes they pepared because it was so badly made and looked nothing like what was advertised. Never again will I come here and I warn anyone else who has posotive prospects for it being good.

Dreadful - I love chicken fried rice but I have never seen anything like this. lumps of what looked like sticky rice, tasteless. Crockery chipped and dirty

Staff does not know their own menu . Have to repeat everyting 3 times and still got it wrong. Not very clean. Menus was stickey. Did not clean it prawns the guts was still inside. Left eventually without our drinks.linnen serviets had mildew. Sweet and sour pork was only fat fried. Will never see us again!

Worst cullinary experience of my life.1. Unprofessional staff, got all the orders wrong.2. Half of the menu wasn’t available.3. Awful food microwaved and tasted of cheap ingredients like nutella on pork or peppers replaced with cucumbers.4. Extremely unfriendly and uncomfortable.

Lol we we not even served we had to beg for assistance after 45 minutes of everyone else been served we just walked out... please dont even bother going there. It looks like they on cater for asians
