The staff are friendly and the service very good. I had a beef burger with a 200g pure beef patty complimented with the softest of buns. Not sure what buns they use but this is a top 5 all time burger. Keep up the good work guys.

We r very privileged to go to Knysna every other year and had been for the last 7 years....just been there this weekend and I can truly say the food has not been what it used to be now and the year before also we had a bad experience.....

The Best ribs Ever...even 16years later. Was here 16years ago but I never forgot their ribs. They are Still DELICIOUS😋😋😋

Food was very good, but cheated us on the bill. They run a special buy one cocktail get 2nd one for half price and the they charge you normal R75 for both on the bill and the pine colada tasted like nothing.We asked for double brandy because they run a special R30 for a double. The waiter did not say which brand or nothing we asked for Olof ended up paying R66 for the double. Also with the eisbein, on the wall it is written R145 and the after we have ordered I only saw the XL eisbein for R160. I said to the waiter why didnt he told me about the XL and he said it is almost the same size and then on the bill we were charger for the XL-R160.That is unacceptable and the waiter should ask, but he talks to much other nonsense with you.=(We will never go there again!

The ribs are highly recommended and for a good reason, just be prepared for a very rich flavour.The staff are very friendly and also very chatty if you allow it, so you will definitely get to know some new people if you go to oldes.Its a very interesting intersection to sit and observe if you sit outside. My wife enjoyed the ribsMy chicken burger was soggy. The cheese sauce is tasteless and watered down. The waitress doesnt know covid 19 protocol. Kept her mask belowe her face, when she came to the table she will put it on after coughing and not cleaning her hands. Cutlery was dirty, table was dirty and plate mates were dirty. Wont go back.

I ordered their Monday special for take away. The food came out nice and quick and was delicious!

T had the normal burger special and I had the rib burger special. Mine was pretty good but Ts was not. The main gripe was the service - it took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive (for burgers???).Maybe its just normal for Knysna and I need to chill out???

Everyone is welcome at Oldes. Its just a nice place to be. With super friendly staff, and delicious food (known for their ribs, but dont miss out on the Sunday curry), this is the place to stop for a great meal and a drink. I would recommend this to anyone who is planning to stay in Knysna, or just passing through and wants to stop for lunch.

This is the kind of pub you will see in a movie. It has that 80s vibe to it with their layout and great song choice. The food is great and you will never run dry with their fully stocked bar. You will leave the place wanting more.

I like myself a cold beer where the atmosphere is one of welcoming. But Im really disappointed in this gem of place. On entry the manager did not as much as greet us first before asking us to leave. He just rudely told us that we are closed when I asked him if we could maby just play a fast R20 on the slots. We were awnserd in the same fassion. We are closed thing is I understand its curfew for us in South Africa and it is at 10 pm. At that time it was know where near 10pm it was 8;15. The restorant was still full of costemers. Drinking and eating. When we left I asked a customer I know how long thay still hanging atound I was told that he only order his starters now and is on his second beer...... I find that very strange for a place that is closing.... But eny how. MR Manager its not nice to lie to people. Now becose of that you just earned your establishment 1 star.

First of all, that was the worst ribs Ive eaten in my life. The manager who addressed the problem was so unprofessional and had no way of handing guest complaint, he needs to be trained as he is way to young to deal with guest, he tried and argue with my that the food was ohkHe also said that when we told him the beers was off and the things was off, he told us that we are wrong, the most unprofessional way ever.I will never set foot In the place and I hope things will changeThe Traveling Chef

Visiting this beautiful area, Kynsna, South Africa, and happened upon Oldes. This restaurant, which offers outside seating has an especially comfortable feel with quite accommodating staff, especially the manager Dane. I had the fish and chips which I must say Ive had in various places throughout the world, and Oldes is among the best ! Try this place, bring a friend or the family !

Knysna is rare in proper pubs. This is a good one!They have a decent bunch of the major whiskeys on stock and also some Gins and Vodkas.We havent had dinner there, so no idea about the food
